Sushi Enya is a Japanese sushi restaurant that first opened in the heart of Little Tokyo in Downtown, LA. After five years of perseverance and experimentation in Downtown, LA, we opened our second location in beautiful Old Town Pasadena. Our third location, which opened in 2018, is located in the beach city of Marina Del Rey. Our owner Chef Kimiyasu Enya trained for over 10 years in Japan to perfect his craft. It is our goal to ensure that quality remains consistent and every experience is enjoyable for all guests.

Overall food quality compared to quantity is sub par. I can order from SugarFish and for the same price of 2 p pl get far more food. Overall far over priced with a limited selection if you want sushi avoid this place

A hidden gem in Beverly Grove, where sushi is fresh and portions are HUGE. Here's hoping this review doesn't turn this place into a zoo like the recently departed but not so missed Katsu Ya on 3rd street (Katsu Ya started out humbly then became a scene for out of the neighborhood denizens). In any case, the staff here at Enya are friendly, they don't rush you out and you have the choice of sitting inside, or in their quiet patio. Best in the neighborhood for sure.

Our first time at the restaurant. We're a group of four ladies who get together often. We like to be able to talk when we dine and found the noise level much too loud with chefs yelling every time someone came and loud talking from the diners. Plus there was music playing. It was a bit much for us.

This was one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences I’ve ever had, especially for all the hype we’d heard prior to booking a reservation. The service was poor and the food was worse. The dishes were soggy and without flavor. All that needs to be said: for a restaurant that supposedly specializes in fish, the best thing we ate all night was Japanese eggplant. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Food was very good. Service was good. Furnishings and decor “low rent .” Noise level excruciatingly high; unable to have a conversation with person sitting right next to me. Prices were exorbitant.

Amazing omakase experience. My client was gluten free and had other dietary restrictions and they were very accommodating and made substitutions on the fly. The chefs and waiters were very friendly.

Toi is the most fantastic wait person. Warm, delightful and extremely knowledgeable. We would come back just to chat with him again. Now as far as the sushi and rolls are concerned, this is the best. We had the rainbow and the dragon crunch and a bunch of nigiri and rolled out of the restaurant completely sated. Thank you.

If you're looking to get great sushi without the pretentiousness of Nobu, go to Sushi Enya! The plates are great to share, and the nigiri is really on point. Ambiance is great for groups or dates.

We love Sushi Enya. My husband is immunicompromised, so we requested a table on the enclosed patio. We haven’t been there for months because it had been to cold to sit outdoors. However, there were heat lamps We think that they have the best and freshest sushi. We ordered five different dishes. Chef #1, tempura, salmon, and two there rolls. We couldn’t stop talking about how wonderful the sushi was.

Nigiris we’re good the makis not so much. Out of many options, even the ones they recommended. You know it, until complain that you didn’t receive them, and you can not order anything else since the kitchen has already closed.

maybe our reservation was later (830pm) but felt like they were closing, also got a bad seat in the outside area by their storage. The fish was okay fresh but the rolls were bad and soggy and felt premade. Chirashi bowl was also one of the worst I've had, esp for the price. Rice was hard. They also kept messing up orders/tables

The sushiman was so good and this place’s omakase was one of the best ive tried so far. Would def go back and try premium omakase soon. Their drinks(sake and wine) were great too!

The food is always good but the service can be spotty/slow. My most recent visit was especially bad. They don’t have a dedicated person working at the front computer area checking people in. So there was just a huge cluster of people waiting to be checked in for about 20 mins. Eventually one of the waiters from inside will wander out a check a few people in. Once inside and seated we were completely ignored for another 10-15 mins.

Hate to say this, but I felt this fish was not that good. Been there many times and feel that they are now too popular/busy to provide their historical high level experience. Much more meh now.

Im a frequent diner at sushi enya and love this restaurant however my most recent dining experience was not so great. We got there at 8pm stood at the host stand for nearly 10 minutes before anybody came to greet us, a line has formed in the meantime. We made a reservation at 8:15pm , a couple at the end of the line also had an 8:15pm reservation who checked in after us was seated first with no explanation? When we asked the host said it was because they made the reservation before we did even though it was for the same time and they arrived after us? It was an overall very unpleasant experience until we were seated at 8:30. The food was incredible as always, hoping my next experience won’t be like this again especially with a reservation

Service is 12/10. Chefs and waiters made the experience very special. We did the omakase, very exciting experience that we didn’t want to end. But by the end we were perfectly satisfied. We will be coming back!

The worst manager I have ever dealt with. Wouldn’t even seat us after 30 minutes of waiting. Avoided me wouldnt talk to me and kept telling me to go outside. Tables were available and even a customer said it was wrong the way I was being treated.
