The first good impression occurred when entering the restaurant for the first time. It has the atmosphere of a long-established, old-fashioned neighborhood dining room. The second good impression was the menu: chock full of many different choices making it fun to decide and encouraging return trips to try more dishes. The third good impression was the food, which is delicious. All three members of my party had different dinners, all were excellent in appearance and taste. Mine was complemented by a tasty Polish beer. the fourth good impression was the service, which was old-world. And finally the fifth good impression was the price of dinner: moderate, great value. The appetisers are pricey until you order one and realize they are sized for sharing.

Welcoming atmosphere and decor where you can feel perfectly comfortable with family, friends, or on a date. Excellent food and a great selection of eastern European pilsners. Service varies, maybe we drew a short straw.

I will be back! Service was a little stressful. I didn’t get greeted or waited on for 20 minutes! I think there could have been a language barrier but wasn’t fully sure. Regardless the food was fantastic and I will be back! If you go, make sure to not be in a rush. This is a take-your-time kind of Restaurant!

If you like Polish food, especially pierogi, this is the place for you. Friendly, great for having a conversation while trying all sorts of dishes and a great value. Tasting the various flavored vodkas was fun too .

The food was wonderful. The potato pancakes were crispy and flavorful. The stew they were served on was delicious. Our server was attentive without hovering and the noise level allowed us to talk, but I never felt like people at the next table could overhear our conversation. In all, it was exactly what we were looking for to celebrate my daughter’s graduation. Truly memorable

Outstanding restaurant! Did most of the restaurant's signature dishes and were not disappointed. Was quiet when we first arrived (6pm) but picked up by the time we left and did a killer take-out business.

The service at Staropolska was INCREDIBLE. The main hostess/waitress was so attentive and fun. The food was FABULOUS and the atmosphere warm and welcoming. Everyone in Chicago should give this place a try, it's well worth a visit!!!
