    Amazing Monday night steak! Cracking little pub, under new management. If the new team keep producing meals as good as the one I ate, they'll go far! Tender steak, gorgeous fries, outstanding peppercorn sauce, and decent wine.

    Great pub with a good atmosphere and friendly staff. However the food wasn’t as good as when we dined there before. Mains and deserts were not very hot, in fact the apple crumble was cold in the middle. Less veg than before so overall a bit disappointing although the staff were nice.

    We booked a table for 1930 and we arrived 10 mins before. The pub was having a party which was in full swing. Our table wasn’t ready but that was quickly sorted. Menus were given. We eventually decided what to eat and at 1950 we went to place our order. We were told that the kitchen would close at 20.00. So in the end no food was served. It’s a lovely pub but if they knew there was going to be a party, it would have been nice to have been informed that no food was going to be served. So my points are low as there was no actual food had.

    Really great Sunday lunch. Everything was delicious, very fresh and beautifully served. Our new favourite roast! So impressed after a few disappointing meals here over the years.
