Reservation was for Thanksgiving at 5. They seated us at 4:30. Broiled seafood meals were excellent. Thanksgiving meal would have been only ho-hum with its disappointing cold-cut-like turkey breast, but it was redeemed with a generous portion of wonderful, distinctively salty Smithfield ham.

Disappointed. Food was cold and just okay. Salad had THREE lettuce cores in it! Three!! In a small salad on a plate! Replacement salad had ANOTHER one in it. Manager refused to come to our table. We won’t be returning. Waitress was nice and attentive, though.

Dined early evening on Mother's Day. Our waitress was very good. However, the food was inconsistent: ham roll appetizer was good, the 2 crab soups ordered were barely warm (we didn't mention to waitress), my Norfolk combo was good but the baked potato was the smallest I've ever been served from any restaurant, my mother's crab cake was cold (waitress brought her another one), and my father enjoyed his seafood combo. My first glass of wine tasted strange, so I had to order a replacement. The sweet tea was great! Overall, the experience was average due to food temperature issues.

We made a reservation for 8pm. When we arrived, a few mins late, the lobby had 7 other couples waiting to seat at 8pm. The greeter was not sure why they were so overbooked, and was confused over who to seat next. We waited 20 mins to be seated, by which time 3 other greeters began seating people, and that added to the confusion. One couple had been waiting for their 8pm reservation since 740 and we were told to seat ahead of them. Cannot overstate how frustrating the greeter and the reservation system was. The food was average and seemed pricey. The waitress was OUTSTANDING; enthusiastic, quick and very aware of her customers long waits. Dessert offerings were tasty. This is our second visit to Smithfield Station this year, but we won't be going back. Between the so-so menu offerings and the reservation diasaster, we will look elsewhere next time.

We have been repeat customers at Smithfield Station. and have always enjoyed our food and drinks for both quality and price. Last visit was on Valentines Day and once we were seated we received quality service even though the servers clearly had too many tables that night. Food courses were well timed and prepared to our liking. Very tasty. On nice weather their deck offers waterviews perfect for a romantic seafood dinner. Overall we were totally satisified with our experiience and food on this visit. We will definitely be back.

Excellent service. Enjoyed the prime rib. However, I was very disappointed with the "fried loaded baked potato." It appeared to be just a typical baked potato with butter and sour cream and nothing else. What made it "loaded"? I think that description was very misleading. Just say baked potato if that's what it is.

I’m not sure if the staff was overwhelmed because it was a holiday, but our waitress was a bit forgetful. The food was not good at all. The level of sodium was really high. My mother had to send her plate back. My grandmother was unable to eat her ribs due to them being too tough and what appeared to be old. My seafood platter was undercooked and my dad’s food made his stomach hurt later in the evening. We’ve dined at Smithfield Station numerous times so I was completely shocked by this experience.

I put in a reservation for 6 people for my parents' 50th Wedding Anniversary. Unfortunately, someone found out about it and 28 people showed up. The manager and his staff was gracious and accommodated every one. We still met Covid-19 protocols and everyone was very pleased with the food and service.

We travel to Smithfield a couple times a year and always stay at Smithfield Station and dine at the restaurant. The food is always delicious and service is excellent. There is awesome outdoor dining with views of the river and indoor dining as well.

We took our granddaughter there for Easter. We sat on the deck overlooking the marina and dog was welcome. Definitely worth the beautiful drive. I would go back. We enjoyed the Easter Brunch which was a bargain. We recommend Smithfield Station.

Ashley is a great waitress . Checked on us often. Sat at a table overlooking the River. Beautiful! They played soft jazz which enhanced the overall experience. The flounder and clam chowder were exceptional. Will definitely go back.
