What is surprising about eating at the Space Needle is that the food is very good. This would often not be the case at a destination sort of restaurant like this. Other things to like are the inexpensive valet parking and that the cost of the visit to the observation deck is included in the meal reservation. We had a perfect clear day and a harried but adequate wait staff. One true negative was that we were surrounded by screaming babies. Because it is August and everyone is on family vacation, it seems many people decided to bring Toddlers and infants to the restaurant. And these young customers were not satisfied with a long leisurely meal. We did our best to ignore it, but sometimes the shrieks were genuinely ear-splitting.

Food and view, very good. Entry and info signage on arrival, very poor. A memorable experience nonetheless.

The main attraction, of course, is the 360 degree revolving view. We were lucky to have pretty good visibility so could see Mt. Rainier and Mt. Baker and the Olympic range. The view is awesome. Food was very good and not too expensive, considering it includes the ticket for the Space Needle. It was also our anniversary and the restaurant brought out a special treat for us. Definitely worth doing if you are visiting Seattle.

When you go here, you know you are paying mostly for the view, which is obviously fantastic! The food is also really tasty as well. The clam chowder was great as was the open-face dungeness crab melt sandwich. However, the portions for all of the meal options were WAY too big. I guess if that's my biggest complaint about a restaurants it's not a bad thing...but for tourists who don't have full kitchens at home, I would have preferred to have been able to share something with someone. I ended up trying to finish as much as I could and then feeling sick the rest of the afternoon.
