Sip & Savor
Everything was delicious. Good wines, good food, and an interesting location.
Great wine tasting and hosts. Will definitely return.
Unique place serving great food with attentive service. Feels like you are eating at a friends home as the setting is a historic house in Plano. The wine list is extensive and reasonably priced. We loved the charcuterie; was beautifully presented and delicious. Scallops were perfectly prepared as was the Halibut and Filet.
The food was excellent! Since it’s such a small space, we didn’t have to wait on service.
Service and food was amazing!! I can’t wait to go back! Everything was superb. The filet was delicious. My husband ordered the short ribs and they were delicious!
I took my bride to dinner to celebrate our anniversary at Sip & Savor and it was one of the most delightful experiences we have ever had. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel as if we were special guests in someone's home. Samantha greeted us at the front door, welcomed us, and seated us in the small and intimate front dining room. She was very attentive to our needs throughout the evening and made us feel at home, even answering our questions about the history of this lovely Victorian home which has been artfully restored and now houses the restaurant. She even invited us to tour the house and enjoy the historic photos and artifacts throughout.
The food was very well prepared, exceptionally well presented, delicious, and reasonably priced. We topped off our scrumptious meal with a mouth-watering dessert, compliments of the restaurant in honor of our anniversary. This was a delightful and memorable moment for us and we definitely will recommend this hidden gem to others. Thank you, Samantha and Sip & Savor for a wonderful evening.
Wow!! We had a great time! The service was AMAZING and the appetizers were phenomenal
This was our second visit to Sip & Savor… First visit was New Year’s Eve with a fixed menu. This time we decided to go and experience the standard menu. Once again, the restaurant did not disappoint. We were warmly greeted by the staff when we arrived. The wine list is actually very good and the appetizers and meal were tasty. Our server was obviously a huge fan of the restaurant and told us about their history (and wine club). The chef provided two complimentary glasses of sparkling rose at the end of the evening. Overall, a very enjoyable time and we will be back.
Great dinner and excellent service. A nice little historic gem nestled among suburban sprawl!
Date night with my husband. This was our first time visiting. Server was very nice. Our appetizer arrived on time and we got our bottle of wine in a timely manner too, but it all went down hill after that. It took over an hour+ to get our main course. When we were finally served my pork chop arrived just barely warm. The server said she could have the cook throw it on the skillet and it would be right out. 20 minutes later I got my food. My husband was already done with his. While they did comp my plate, dinner was really ruined by then. No manager came to the table. Real bummer of a time.
Neighborhood Nights menu was exceptional- beef shisk kabobs and 4 cheese Mac & cheese with amazing bacon!
The large selection of wines made for a perfect week night dinner.
Excellent food. Nice ambiance. Hannah is one of the best servers I have ever had. Thanks for a great ev bing
Service was slow but enjoyed the wine and atmosphere so that didn't matter. The waitteres nearly feel out of her blouse on our table it was appalling that was the deal breaker. We googled patio dining and there was none? Still the food was good. Wait staff should dress appropriately for 3to 4 star dining, it not a Hooters.
The food was simple and well-prepared. We were sat right on time for our reservation. The front room was very crowded and loud but we were sat in another room farther back. It was quiet for us, alone in the room, but with the tables close together and high ceilings I'd bet it gets echo-y and that you can clearly hear the conversations of others. The server was attentive but not bothersome. She was kind enough to turn off the a/c which was set to 70 degrees (very cold for me in a short dress). Food was nothing to snazzy or creative. I would recommend to those who go for straight-forward staple proteins and non-spicy options. I was in it for the wine/dinner in an old house combo and it definitely delivered on those points.
The food, while relatively simple, is prepared perfectly and staff (and owners) are very friendly and accommodating. The shrimp-stuffed avocado is a must-try.
Outstanding restaurant! Wonderful management who explained the history of the home.
Delicious food, great service and perfect for a cozy and special date night.
I was eating there exactly one year ago and had an amazing experience
I returned because of that and I was very disappointed.
Service was very good but food was not good at all not comparing to last year and not at all
My wife & I celebrated our 23rd wedding anniversary at Sip & Savor. It was our 1st time dinning there but it won't be our last. The ambiance was perfect for a quiet dinner for two. The food was delicious & well prepared. The service was tremendous. Amanda, our server, was perfect. She was helpful & just a joy. She gave us enough time between courses to allow us to enjoy our meal & conversation. We never felt rushed. On the contrary, Amanda made us feel welcomed and at home. I mentioned that we were celebrating our anniversary when I reserved the table but the fact that Amanda took the time to wish us a "Happy Anniversary" was very nice. Also, when she brought our desserts, she place a candle in each for us - a very sweet touch! Thank you all at Sip & Savor for a wonder anniversary.
Always fantastic! Great fod, knowledgeable staff, perfect atmosphere.
Great spot. Loved it. Character and easy going atmosphere with good food.
Sip and Savor is always a refreshing outing away from the loud, crowded restaurants in Plano. A lot of delicious variety on the menu and the wine list can not be beat!
You have to try the new spring/summer items on their menu! Delicious steak quesadilla and chicken pasta.
Great as always!
Great wine selection! Food was overpriced and below average.
My favorite place to come to for dinner and a wine tasting.
Quaint farmhouse turned into a restaurant with great food and service. Excellent variety from filet mignon, to seafood, to poultry, soups and salads. I had the tomato soup as a starter and it was covered in puff pastry. Delicious. My entrée was trout and it was cooked perfectly. Prices are a little more towards 5 star in downtown Dallas, without the ambiance, but the food is just as good as anywhere. A great date night in Plano or for a group of friends.
Made dinner reservations on-line and we were seated immediately upon our arrival. Excellent service! Food was OUTSTANDING! Highly recommend this establishment!
We went for our 12th wedding anniversary and had an amazing time! The food was fantastic. The service was superb- and the staff truly cared that our visit was outstanding. The house is adorable. I’d recommend going to Sip and Savor for any event- even a simple night out. I can’t wait to go back!!
The food was exquisite at reasonable prices for the Plano area and the service was very personable as well as professional.
Can be recommended highly for a nice night out or any special occasion.
A real gem of a place; friendly and professional staff, excellent fine food in a charming locale.
Wonderful evening, delightful service. Although the menu is somewhat limited compared to others. Delicious as always!
Absolutely loved the decor. I couldn’t believe that the hardwood was original to the house from 1800’s. We sat in the study and it was very cosy. We ordered steak and ribs. Ribs were falling off the bone. Wine was great. Overall we had a memorable experience for our 10th wedding anniversary
Unique venue. Needs a little tweaking, but a solid contender.
Yes, we recommend Sip & Savor all the time! Lovely spot to enjoy a delicious meal and talk.
A perfect date night destination - A Victorian house from 1893 that has been converted into a restaurant. Very quiet and comfortable. The staff is outstanding, run by John & Teresa Weeks. John greeted my wife & I at the door and showed us to our table. Hanna, our server, helped us navigate the menu and find some great wine choices to compliment our dinner. The food is fantastic as well. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
$147.00, not a good value. Restaurant was freezing cold, the scallops were quarter sized and I got 6 of them. The fettuccine was not gluten free, so substituted potatoes at extra chatge, wow. The potatoes were 1 inch squares and got 6 of them. My girlfriend has filet minion, undercooked and wasn't seasoned. 2 teas, 1 glass of wine, shared a salad wedge. The desert was 1/2" thick by 3" long creme brulee.
