We've dined here many many times, and the last 2 times the service has been terrible. Lack of interest in us, our orders...2.5 hrs to eat. Cold coffee served right in front of us, waitress didn't care.

Waitress must have been new. We waited far too long in between salad and entree, like 20 minutes. She was very. I’ve but needs to work on timing. Food was delicious as always.

Absolutely fantastic! As a vegan, steakhouses can be dicey for me. The chef was kind enough to create a special dish and side for me that I thoroughly enjoyed. And then, without request, they brought me an off menu dessert. Great food, lovely server, and beautiful views. We can’t wait to return!

Went for Restaurant Week. $45.00 a person. Dessert did not come with it and almost all the other participating restaurants do. So, not the good deal as expected. Waiter not very attentive. Steak good. Beings they are a steak house. Salmon could have been better. I personally would not go back. VERY pricey without restaurant week.

I would give this restaurant another try due to the views. but was disappointed in my first experience. We were celebrating a special occasion and it took 10+ minutes to get greeted by our server after we were sat. Server acknowledged this once she came to our table, but service remained somewhat slow. I had to flag down another server to order a second round of drinks and often spent time looking around for someone to help us vs enjoying myself. Crab cake app was phenomenal. Wedge was overdressed and lettuce was brown in spots. Prime rib was ok. The gratin potatoes were a disaster and we were served pieces of potato rather than thinly sliced potatoes. It’s almost like we got a mistake and it was the cooked potatoes they were going to mash later. I would give this place another try, but for spending $500 on two people I think it was a disappointing experience.

I was so hopeful for Simms as a regular date night spot, since we are new to the area. Unfortunately there was very little about our experience that went well. We enjoyed delicious cocktails at the v bar prior to our reservation. While we loved the bartenders and our drinks tasted yummy, we watched as drops of other drinks spilled into the ice reserve repeatedly. Once seated our waiter did give us a heads up that things were a little chaotic due to some staff calling out at the last minute. We can appreciate this as people who have worked (and one of us still does work) in the service industry, however the wait time in between courses was unacceptable. The crab cakes were good, nothing exceptional however, and the steaks and sides we ordered (au gratin potatoes and creamed spinach) tasted cheap, like something I could have easily made at home. I sent my steak back (it came out medium well when I requested medium rare), and the second steak was straight up rare, possibly even raw in places. I couldn’t wait any longer though so I ate what I could and brought the rest home. The spinach needed to be reheated as there were huge chunks of cold cream cheese in the dish. For over $200, this was super disappointing. We won’t be going back sadly.

We had an excellent experience at Simms Steakhouse for a birthday and Valentine's Day celebration. The food and service were outstanding! It was busy but we weren't rushed or ignored and we really appreciated another excellent evening!

We called ahead to let the restaurant know we were running late due to an accident that occurred right in front of us and which we were giving a police statement about. So our window seat was given away, I guess rightfully so. When we were seated, we were not greeted by any wait staff for 10+ minutes. Every phase of our meal was delivered late, and by different wait staff; don’t know if our waiter was swamped??? The staff that brought our dishes literally dropped them on the table without a word. My husband ordered the pre fixe valentine menu, and we realized the table next to us was receiving additional items from that menu. The waiter must’ve remembered us after the fact because he then delivered those items to us belatedly. Very unimpressed with service, bread not brought out until after our soup. Every step done late. Good okay. Wine list ridiculously overpriced.

Ordered steak medium - came out RAW. Had to send back 3 times & by the end they finally got it to medium rare (at least that’s edible). Staff was delivering food to the wrong tables and wouldn’t even re make the food after it had already been sitting on someone else’s table for ~10 minutes. This isn’t necessarily a “fancy” steakhouse so I don’t hold it to incredibly high expectations, but our experience was completely unpleasant & I am honestly shocked that they are in business. Would never come back. Either save some money and go to a Texas Roadhouse, or spend a bit extra and go to Elways, Shannahans, or Del Friscos (double eagle). Don’t waste your time here. Ambience is nice & views of the city were good - would only recommend going here to get drinks and sit on the patio.

Where do I begin? I booked this restaurant mainly for the view. I requested in my reservation a seat with a window view- I’d had even accepted seating in the middle of the restaurant as long as I could see the view outside with my date. They escorted us to a makeshift banquet room that reminded me of the columbine steakhouse. The linens were HUGE, they had a plug in heater, the view was of residential apartments. I asked if we could sit closer to what felt like the actual restaurant- the hostess said no and I asked how long the wait would be for one of the closer tables, she said she didn’t know and we had to follow our reservation. I figured I’d trade a sad view for great food. My date and I both ordered a crab lump cake, a salad each, we both ordered NY Strip steaks, an order of mashed potatoes and an order of green beans. The crab cake was decent, the bread was very salty, the salad was great but the mashed potatoes were dry. I ordered my steak Medium Well done and my date ordered well done (I know, but the heart likes what the heart likes right lol). Our steaks come out and my dates was medium rare and mine was rare. It was very light brown with red the second you cut into it from multiple angles. Neither of us took more than 1 bite of the potatoes, not 1 bite of green beans and not a sliver of a bite of our steaks. I asked for them to take the steaks back, to take the sides back and I didn’t want anything else. They offered to cook them more or make me something else but by this point I’d lost my appetite. I could smell the blood and the sight of this raw thick piece of meat before me was the straw that broke the camels back. The manager removed both steaks but still left on the charges for the sad dry tasteless sides of green beans and mashed potatoes. This place has really gone down. The server though- chefs kiss! She was amazing!!!! Very kind, patient and even apologetic when none of it was her fault.
