Great meal. It was our anniversary and they sent us home with an anniversary "present" of a box of cookies. Loved this place. Will recommend and return
Food outstanding. Highlight was foie gras ravioli. One service error was promptly corrected far beyond our expectations.
A lovely lunch spot with delicious food thoughtfully prepared.
It was a true example how a beautiful human touch of your server makes a whole experience. Alex thank you for that. It was a great evening
Very enjoyable dinner with friends. Food and service were excellent!
The food was excellent, and we had a nice evening, but the portions were on the small side. Dinner here was a good experience, but when you're still ready to raid the fridge when you get home, it's not a good sign that the meal was filling. Sepia is definitely worth trying, and it's a good date spot, but it's not ideal for filling up an empty stomach.
Very lovely. Will be back again
We love Sepia and always enjoy all aspects of our evenings when we go. The front desk staff are friendly, the waitstaff are super professional and helpful without "hovering". We are always given ample time to enjoy our cocktails and courses. The wine list is superb and the sommelier is terrific along with the waitstaff being very knowledgable about wine and the list as well. We come mostly for 'date night' but have also brought guests. The menu is on the smaller side, but there is always something for everyone. In short, just a marvelous place to dine.
delicious, creative menu. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Started with roasted radishes which were great. First time I ever had them. Squash soup followed by pork tenderloin was delicious. The dessert of apple crisp was a nice finish.
We had a delightful dinner at Sepia, highlighted by attentive service and delicious food. This restaurant never disappoints us. It is a lovely dining experience and worthy of the Michelin star it has received.
Service was incredible, food was amazing- we had a group of 10 and they were extremely accommodating.
This restaurant is amazing, I can't even try to pick out something negative just for arguments sake because it was all fantastic. The food, the service, the ambiance was all fabulous and I wish we lived closer so we could go back more often. Everyone is correct in saying they are not pretentious either, very helpful and considerate waitress. You simply HAVE to go!
Service should be less transactional. Ambiance is a little run down. Food was good!
Surpassed all expectations. Spectacular meal and wonderful service!
Excellent service that matches the food makes this a West Loop lunch gem - always good to get out here...
After visiting Proxi I was excited to go to Sepia. We were not disappointed. They catered to our every whim. The food was creative. The presentation was lovely. We had the scallops, foie gras ravioli, duck and steak. The flavors and combinations were delicious. We even enjoyed dessert, the pavlova and pear cake. Amazing! Lastly, we left well satisfied but not uncomfortably stuffed. Oh! And the wine list is great. We enjoyed a Sonoma Pinot Noir.
Actually surprised with the lack of attention to details given being a 4 star restaurant. My guest was polite enough to put up with it. He had to remind about a missing order and correct the other one. Come on! Wish they made all of the errors on mine than his. The server promptly addressed it though. Food tasted fine.
Accommodating staff and excellent food--a thoroughly enjoyable meal
This was our second trip to Sepia and it was fantastic. We did not choose the tasting menu but we likely will on our next visit. All courses were terrific and the wine was great. Very attentive staff. One of (if not the) best restaurants in the city. Highly recommend!
Took my girlfriend here for her birthday dinner. We ordered the food tasting. Food was absolutely phenomenal. Service was wonderful, and very attentive. Something anyone who love’s food should experience.
This is a place for any special occasion. Everything for the food to the service tobthe ambiance is five stars. Expect to spend over $100 pp so as to enjoy the whole experience. From cocktails to desert, you cannot go wrong
Good prix fixe luncheon, but wine overpriced.
Loved it as usual! One of Chicago's best. This is one of our favorite dinner places but we heard about their prefixe lunch menu and had to try it!
Pretty flawless evening. We had to wait a bit beyond our reservation time but once we sat down the experience was very high level. Wonderful wine list, relatively small menu but lots of moments of dishes exceeding the normal expectation. Portions just right so that you didn't walk out feeling miserable. I'd go back in a heartbeat
Had lunch with a friend I haven’t seen in 30 years. My lamb burger was extremely dry...bun and meat. It was hard to eat without chasing with water. I didn’t raise the issue since I didn’t want to disturb our conversation.
We all had a lovely time and the birthday girl felt very celebrated. The food was amazing, the service was very good, and the atmosphere had a modern elegance.
Very very good, cant wait yo go back, everything is awesome as expected
Great dinner with even better food than expected!
Would recommend for a special occasion and would go again without a doubt
It's a favorite we return to again and again. Highly recommended!
A lot to love about Sepia -- food is great, service is friendly, knowledgeable and attentive, and the ambiance is first rate.
Used to love this restaurant. Service was extremely slow and uninterested. Appeared they were struggling with lunch crowd.
Had the mortadella and the presentation didnt seem to intrigue us. Flat deli cuts layed flat on plate. Hamachi was well presented and had better overall flavor. Dumplings had a bland inside. The oysters on the other hand really delivered great flavor. The filet mignon had a great flavor, however for it being the main course they only served two slices. Real nice service and the people working are very attentive and amazing.
Went there for valentines day! Very nice table in little alcove. Had a tasting menu with good choice of options and a wine pairing which we took advantage of. Very nice evening. Great food, knowledgeable and friendly service and the wine pairing was excellent with many unusual wines
This is an incredible Chicago dining experience which has stood the test of time. Every time we dine at Sepia, we say why haven’t we been here sooner. From the hostess to the server to our waitress to the GM, it was a warm welcoming experience.
The food was great, especially the beef tartare - outstanding. Drinks and cocktails especially were disappointing avoid their “extract” agave spirits. Desserts also not impressive, the crostada was stale and hard to chew. Overall, for a one star Michelin rated restaurant, I was expecting more...
very delicious and accommodating! The starters individual portions--you won't want to share.
Have dined here numerous times from spontaneous everyday to planned special occasions and the food and service never disappoint. Love this place.
The desserts were amazing. As were all 3 flavors of seasonal fizz I've tried. The steak loin was delicious. The scallops were cooked perfectly with the brussel sprouts.
The amuse bouche was a good mix of sweet, salty, and crunchy.
Service was excellent. Enjoyed Roxanne's wit and suggestions.
The staff was wonderful and attentive to our needs and my gluten allergy.
