My wife and I had a great meal at Sassetta! For our starters we ordered the salumi/mozzarella/focaccia plate. For entrees, the pappardelle bolognese and the soppresatta pizza. Everything was fresh and flavorful, and the restaurant itself has a cool mid-century modern vibe. Our waiter was just a little too soft-spoken at times, especially as the dinner crowd started to roll in, but we have no real negatives and will definitely be back when we get the chance!

Everything good except.....the water cups need to be run through the dishwasher. The level of bacteria on the cups are noticeable by smell once you pour water into them and let them sit through your meal. My OCD level increase! Another thing that I did not like were the hard, hard chairs. Talk about torture for the hind side. I have insufficient butt, I know. But everything else was wonderful, especially the salad and the pasta dishes. So, for the food.....ok, I'll say ok.

We enjoyed our 2 pasta dishes. Gnocchi with lamb and short rib rigatoni. Nice Barbera wine too - even though it was overpriced. Our waiter was helpful, but I've noticed a trend the last few times we have dined out and that is the waiters are around and helpful until you get to the dessert course and then you can hardly find them to pay out. My chocolate torte was dry and the ice cream that accompanied it was not fresh or creamy - but hard. The dish was very unsatisfying and disappointing. No one came to check on us and it was a birthday meal. I am only saying I would recommend the restaurant because the main dishes were good.

This is a great new place, a wonderful addition to the Design District dining scene. The menu is very approachable with a great variety of starters, share plates, and main dishes, as well as specials. The wine list is Italian, and has a nice variety of wine varietals. The waitstaff is attentive, but not hovering. Great place for a date or a gathering of friends and business acquaintances.

Trendy as hell in a good way. Lovely spot for a girls dinner. When we went they had a jazz band playing. The food is solid, but it's mostly the ambience that makes this place special.

The food was superb, the service not so much. The waitress was friendly and helpful but certainly needs more training. A young man was in way more need and we think he should try another field because he really couldn’t remember that when a tea glass is empty it should be refilled and well never mind the food was DELICIOUS!!!

This was our third visit. We sat at the bar because we were very earlier for our reservation. It was a Saturday night so it was busy with a great buzz/vibe. Feodore was the bartender and he made some amazing cocktails. He was also very knowledgeable about the wine list for food pairings. The service was great in spite of how busy he was filling drink orders. We shared a ceasar salad and a chicken pasta dish. We will definitely be back!

Service was a bit slow. I’ve always enjoyed the pacing but it seemed really slow. It took too long to take first drink orders and take app orders. An initial greeting always sets the tone in a nice way. Food is always good!

We've been to Sassetta on several occasions and were always pleased with the food and the aesthetics. . Unfortunately on New Year's Eve we were disappointed. We were seated nearly opposite the entry. Every time the door opened we were hit with the blast of cold air. I never took my coat off. That problem should have been solved a long time ago. The Frito Misto was tasty but it was mostly veggies as opposed to calamari. Of our three entrees, the pasta carbonara didn't taste anything like a carbonara and was bitter. We alerted our waiter and he kindly removed it from our bill and offered us a free dessert. I might return for lunch but probably not for dinner.
