    This was our first visit to Sandy Point Beach House. It won't be our last. I can't find 1 issue with our dining experience. The menu is diverse and everything we had was excellent. The service was as good as the food. The live music was a nice plus. Our visit was in November and they were busy. I can't imagine what a nice place on the water in Summer. Be sure to make your Open Table reservations. We live in Hudsonville so it's a 30 minute drive, but it's worth going west when we are use to going east.

    The food was good; portion size medium. We hardly had to wait at all for our food to be served. It was my husband’s birthday and they gave him a free dessert and made it special by writing happy birthday on the plate with a caramel sauce. 😊

    We went last minute for my husband's birthday. He just wanted a good steak. He had the ribeye and I had the filet. Neither were remarkable. My filet was undercooked and bland. His ribeye was good on the outside. Inside ... eh. $5 for mushrooms with steak. Very small portion. But the best part of my meal. $8 for scallop potatoes. Also very bland. The lemon creme brule was awesome. Spent just shy of $200 and was rather disappointed. I felt bad for choosing the restaurant for my husband's birthday steak. I'll have to make up for it somewhere else. I've heard so many great things about this restaurant so maybe it was just a bad day for them.

    Good food. Saxophone player was way too loud. Hard to hear our conversation above the music and we were at the window side of the dining area.

    Food and server were great But despite having India Ted we wanted standard seating not having opted for outdoor, we were placed in the back patio. As we were seated I asked if there were bees having had bees join us for breakfast that morning and didn’t wish to repeat the experience. Hostess responded “No, there are no bees”. We sat down and were soon joined by small flies and another kind of fly. The other two tables were also being assaulted by them. Throughput the meal we were swatting away at them as we ate our delicious food which greatly took away from the attentive service. I spoke to the hostess after the meal and said she shouldn’t seat anyone else on the patio due to the flies which she looked at me like I was imagining them. These reservations were over a week old and were not last minute nor a walk in.
