Located in the heart of Five Points, just steps from the University of South Carolina’s campus and less than a mile from the state capitol building, Saluda’s has been impressing Columbia residents and visitors since it opened to much fanfare in 1996. Saluda's has created an exciting menu intermingling classically prepared dishes with cutting edge techniques and ingredients. Saluda's menu is built around mixing locally grown seasonal products with luxurious ingredients from around the world.     Oh my gosh, I had the best Cobb salad and filet ever! Our waitress greeted us with the warmest smile and attended to our every need. I have always enjoyed Saluda's, but last night's meal was a world-class experience and really made me appreciate a fine dining establishment in my own backyard.

    The only complaint is that they were out of both the Grouper and Mahi so the non beef or pork eaters settled for salad.

    Food, food service, and ambience were nice, but I was extremely disappointed to have to wait 35 min to be seated when we had a reservation. We had a candidate for a new Assistant Professor position at our university at this dinner, so the long wait was embarrassing and doesn't leave a good impression. Saluda's needs to plan better and ensure that people who have reservations will have a table close to the time reserved.

    We had a terrific server. Being restaurant week, it was busy, but drinks and food really came on time, the backup servers seemed to know who ordered what so easily. Had thought the restaurant week menu had a smaller pricepoint, but I could have been looking at an advertisement for another year?? Food was good, we were 4 that ordered all different things. Fish was cooked perfectly. Shrimp and grits nice, a little heavy on salt, but great texture and tons of shrimp. Pork belly app was to write home about. Dessert cakes were flavorful, but DRY, not just dense, but very dry, but the composure with ice cream and toasted coconut saved it, so the plates were certainly finished. Again, we loved our West Palm Beach transplant of a waiter, so sharp, great service, food was very good and thought the menu was creative and prepared well. We will be back, and this time not wait so long!

    I went with some friends for Restaurant Week. While we ordered off the Restaurant Week menu the food was still excellent. We all tried some of everything but all ended up with the filet as our entree. The filet was superb. Our waitress Jenny was fantastic, super nice, and did an excellent job. Dessert and espresso martinis were an excellent end to the night.

    Saluda’s is a famous local Gem known for its great cuisine, service, drinks & atmosphere! The Restaurant Week meal selection was outstanding for $49! Reservations are suggested as even though the week they are extremely busy! Saluda’s, a fine eatery, is highly to everyone! Enjoy!

    Saluda's is never less than 5-star. It's one of the best restaurants in Columbia. And it would be my #1 favorite restaurant in Columbia if Blue Marlin-Columbia wasn't my client. ;)

    We ordered Shrimp & grit and filet mignon steak for main courses. Steak and mash potatoes were good. Shrimp were extremely salty even though the sauce was good. Would definitely not recommend this dish. Blueberry cheesecake and arugula salad were good. Pork belly for appetizer was very tasty.

    We came here for Restaurant Week and had an amazing filet mignon dinner. The apps, salad, and main course were all delicious. Our service was great as well, checked on us promptly but not too much. Will be returning soon!

    Third time at Saludas! Never disappoints. Celebrated my son’s birthday. Complimentary champagne was perfect touch to make our celebration more special. Paired well with blueberry cheesecake lit with a candle. Service was so attentive and very thoughtful. Lamb and grouper were uniquely prepared with healthy portions. Looking forward to our next meal there.

    Good and varied choices on the menu. Great cocktails. Oysters and pork belly for appetizers were delicious. My wife ordered the scallops and I, the lamb; served mashed potatoes and collards; wonderful. Our server, Amanda, was excellent. Saluda's was the perfect place to celebrate our anniversary!

    Traveling through town we were tired and hungry. Dinner at Saluda’s was soothing to our souls. Fantastic shrimp and grits! Our server Molly was excellent. Saluda’s is above Starbucks, good to know when you’re trying to find it.

    Overrated. Overpriced. Tables too small. Barley had room for all the plates. Tables too close. Our waitress "Holland" was amazing. Drinks were lacking. Food was sub par overall but the fried oysters were great. Portions too small. In comparison to other "fine dining" locations here in Columbia it's pales in comparison. If you just want to spend money and feel special this is your place. Won't return.

    Wonderful service! We had to wait for a very short time, and the manager brought over champagne for our anniversary to make our wait more cheerful. We always love the food, and our waitress was excellent and very attentive.

    For a special night out with my wife Saluda’s is our go to venue. Food and service is always excellent. The wine list is as good as anywhere we’ve dined. That included many fine restaurants throughout the US and Europe.
