I have never been so disrespected in my life at a restaurant. Servers are VERY prejudiced (A nice way to say they were xenophobic). We arrived at the restaurant without a reservation - on a Wednesday at 3 pm - and the restaurant was empty without “reserved” signs. As soon as we asked for our table the hostess was very rude and really wanted us to leave, he said the waiting time was 30 minutes or more (he was very emphatic on this part of the phrase) with a disgusted expression. In hopes that we could be seated earlier I made a reservation there for 3:30pm (we arrived at 3:26pm) and was successful, and still the hostess wouldn’t let us in, saying our reservation wasn’t valid (mind you that he made a lot of not so nice comments about us to the other hostess).At the end we were able to sit at our table, but the experience was ruined already, the food is good but not that good and the views are ok (not worth it after the treatment we received).

Food was meh, service was meh, views were amazing. We did get the empanada appetiser which was a solid 9/10, also got the tempura shrimp sushi which was a 3/10 (honestly tasted worse than the sushi you get from the grocery store 🤦‍♂️) the shrimp and lobster risotto was a 5/10 and the 50/50 mash potatoes were a 7/10. Maybe just come for dessert, we spent $160 after tip and definitely regret it after the quality of the food. Overall 3/10.

Started out horrible. Reservations made but still had to wait 30 min when finally seated at a not so comfortable indoor table for 6 when outdoor was requested. Spoke to manager and he was understanding and able to accommodate outdoor seating, comfortable for 6 (with a service animal), and wonderful view. Food was amazing and server, Akosh B, made the experience even more special as we celebrated a birthday. RP knows how to make their guests feel special. Still the best restaurant for experience and value, and stunning views, in Miami.

We have lived in South Florida for 30 years, and this was our first time at the Rusty Pelican. Location was great, lots to see on the Bay, our table was behind a overgrown bush that if trimmed, would be a great table.That is our only complaint. Service was great. Brittany was very attentive. Go enjoy the view with good food.

The view saves this place. Hostesses were beyond miserable and not at all willing to help. Left me waiting for 10 minutes outside while she figured out a seat only for me to find her on the phone. Food is not nothing special and over priced. Waiter was friendly and the view nice.

Host and hostess we’re not accommodating to let us sit near the window when our party was there saying it was reserved for another couple. On the phone they would not let us book a specific table or area. Our dish came In an iron skillet which was not hot and the fish was bite size and overcooked. The whole dish had 4 pieces of shrimp for 2 people. The crispy fish was delicious and hot as were the scallops. Food was expensive for nothing. Definitely feel like it is a tourist trap.

This is the perfect place to go for an amazing sunset view over the bay, and we have been many times but not for a few years. The food was heavy on sugar for just about everything (from the sauce on the ribeye steak, brussel sprouts, which were nice and crispy but also quite sweetened, snapper, which was on top of a very sugary coconut orzo so it was hard to avoid the sweetness, and even the roast vegetables and the rice with shrimp and fish had an excess of sweetness. So if you like your food sweet, it might be worth the hefty price tag. The sunset was marvelous, however, so we did enjoy the cocktails and scenery.

Very big disappointment, the food was uneatable, waited for a table from 4pm to 5:15pm, the 4pm hostess was extremely rude. First time here - not coming back. Awful.

Our server was fabulous and the food is good but it is clear the restaurant is mismanaged. The host/seating situation is very disorganized and servers have huge sections with no busser or anyone assisting them.

Food was great, service was great despite the fact that our waiter was being trained, they were great! It’s the best view in Miami! Pretty loud on a Sunday afternoon! Otherwise 5 stars!

The service was rather slow. I know it’s a busy day and time (Saturday at 5:30 PM) but that is more reason to add extra people to help at that time. We got seated pretty fast. The drinks came timely, followed by bread. However, we finished the first glass of drinks and bread and no one has come to take our order and worse, the appetizer that we ordered as soon as we got seated was still not served at this point. If not for the beautiful view outside, we would have been very upset.

Had reservations, doors open at 5pm, seated by 5:15pm. Server came to table immediately and her attention was excellent. Requested inside seating with outside beautiful view. Overall it was an amazing afternoon. Highly recommend Rusty Pelican!
