Located just a few meters from the Duomo in Florence, Regina Bistecca is a restaurant dedicated to the true “bistecca alla fiorentina” and traditional Florentine food culture.
For over 140 years the same address has been the location for the antiquarian bookseller Gonnelli, which has been in the same family for four generations and has now relocated.
Although nowadays offering something different, the objective was to preserve and maintain the unique atmosphere of a historical place in which to offer a gratifying experience merging food, art, and history.

One of our group’s two steaks was a little overcooked, but still had great flavor. The appetizers were very good though, and service was great.

Naomi was a great server. The food was well crafted and high quality especially the steak. Great experience! The music was classic American pop and may have preferred something more cultural to Firenze yet still trendy. Small critique there. Highly recommended restaurant for Firenze.

The food and service are always excellent! I highly recommend Regina Bistecca. We will definitely eat here again the next time we're in Florence.

We had a fantastic, leisurely dinner. We LOVED the Chianina carpaccio (unexpectedly large serving), the pigeon pasta, and the Chianina steak. We decided we could’ve done without the fried potato sticks, because they couldn’t compete with the other courses. Service was solid, although a bit disorganized (multiple servers performing multiple roles), but flowed well all-around. The steak was delicious and the atmosphere is comfortable and well-designed. It was one of our favorite meals in Italy (I cannot rave enough about the pigeon pasta).

Bonjour, Nous n’avons pas eu d’explications claires sur les menus ni sur la carte des vins. La serveuse était expéditive et semblait impatiente. Le service n’est pas à l’image du standing du restaurant. Il y avait des tartines dans les entrées, nous ne savons pas à quoi! Nous aurions aimé que le serveur vienne nous demander si la cuisson de la viande, entre autre nous convenait. Mais personne n’est venu Il y a un manque de professionnalisme vu les tarifs pratiqués. Mention spéciale à la barmaid qui nous a accueilli et encaissé, elle était souriante et sympathique.
