Ray's on the River
Father’s Day. We took my husband 3 kids and in-law out to celebrate the wonderful dad in our life.
The Fathers Day brunch was amazing!
Father’s Day brunch was excellent! Hats off!!!!
Fantastic! Food was wonderful, wait staff warmed up to us after about 30 mins. I would recommend Ray's on the River to anyone who appreciates a superior experience in food. Bravo!
Went for Fathers Day brunch and had a wonderful time. Service was a little slow and forgot a few things which was disappointing since they were only doing drinks and we were suppose to have two servers. The food was out of this world and the manager who came to our table was a delight. We will be back. Thank you!
We went for brunch for Fathers Day. It was great. A lot of food and service was great.
Thank you for honoring my request for a view of the river. Definitely enjoyed the view.
Our first visit and I was awful. We were there almost 2 1/2 hours not to eat but to receive our food. Very disappointing
Excellent food and experience. We have been coming for our anniversary for 20 years and will keep coming back!
Always a good experience here. We came for our anniversary dinner. My only disappointment was the scallop dish i ordered. The risotto was pasty and no flavor. Scallops were a bit bland too. Service was good and i always like the atmosphere here. Prices are high though
This was a 60th birthday celebration for a friend of mine and every little detail was taken care of and perfect!!!! Our waiter was awesome! Thank you for making this a special day to remember!!
The overall quality of the food was just OK. The prices were high for just OK food.
Ray's never disappoints! Every thing is always great!
Good food good ambiance but a little pricy
Have visited Rays on the River for years both personal and business. Usually very good experience. For some unexplained reason the service this time was very lacking. Two of our four meals came long before the other two. When finally arrived one was very under cooked and had to be sent back. One beverage did not arrive until near the end of the meal as well as our side dish. Finally a new waitress took over our table and thing improved .
The food was delicious and the service was fast. I
A great experience. The views are nice, and the staff is very attentive and friendly.
This is the first time my food was not good. I had the Ahi Tuna Kale salad and was very disappointed. The greens were yellow and not fresh, there was very little tuna, two tiny pieces of unripe mango, pieces of mushy peaches (a substitute?), no evident quinoa, and mustard dressing that didn’t seem Asian at all. I didn’t complain or send back because I was treating a friend to a birthday lunch and didn’t want to spoil the day with drama. The restaurant atmosphere and service was excellent, this was just a kitchen execution or supply issue. It was a shame to be starving an hour after a $20 lunch. I hope to go back and have the quality of food I have had in the past.
Always what i expects. Great food selection and service.
I took my out of town friends and their daughter who just graduated from High school there for Sunday Brunch. Very crowded and the shrimp cocktail definitely is not fresh... only 1 bite and did not want to eat any more staled food at a nice restaurant that charged me about over $50/person for the food. The Ray's never had that kind of staled food served as I can recall or as crowded as that. Server was not really attentive...I will NOT bring any people there for at least Sunday Brunch any more. Too many nice restaurants around town. Sorry that this one has somehow slipped thru their cracks...disappointed of my latest experience there.
This place was amazing!!! Please go, you will not regret it! Beautiful location right off the Chattahoochee River (you can see the river through the large windows while dining). I recommend trying Sunday Brunch at least once (the finest cuisine...breakfast and seafood), not to mention there's a live band that plays mellow up to date and classic songs. The staff members are just wonderful from the Valet to the Servers. Please do yourself a favor and make reservations ahead of time. I will definitely come back. I've already raved about this restaurant to my co-workers. We're family now lol Thanks Rays on the River!
My boyfriend took me here for Sunday brunch ,which was amazing crabs, shrimp bacon, jerk chicken, waffles, grits, and bottomless mimosa.
Even the sprite was good, restroom were cleaned staff was friendly and the view was so calming..
I love my man even more for this one!!
Swordfish is amazing and the warm blueberry butter cake best desert around
The food was great! Loved the three piece jazz combo. Service was perfect! Will definitely go back!
Pains me to write this as Ray’s is one of our favorite restaurants, but we did have a truly horrible experience. We had 8pm dinner reservations but got sat in the bar next to some walk-ins (we’d been waiting for 30 minutes for our reservation time). The noise level was so bad, our bar waiter had to talk to us separately. I had to ask what the specials were. We had to ask our server for bread after our entrees came. Went empty on our drinks several times.
We wound up ordering the special copper river salmon, medium and well done. The medium was rare and the well done was nearly identical. We were told it came with asparagus but got some broccoli and rice dish that had crunchy, presumably undercooked rice. The entree was $50 for a 3 oz piece of fish and a poorly done broccoli side that wasn’t prepared close to order.
Very classy restaurant with attentive staff, worth a visit
Three of our four appetizers were returned because they were incorrect. After which the weather came back to say one of the entries was not available.Food taste and quality was average. The bill was relatively expensive… Very expensive for the experience though.
My waiter was excellent in explaining all details of food ambience and the fresh food. He also went the extra mile in speaking my language spanish.
It was my first time dining at Rays on the River, we went right before the dinner rush and it was quiet, nice ambience and view. The service was wonderful, the food was AMAZING! We had the gumbo for appetizers, ordered Bulleit Bourbon and sparkling Rose' ( its was national rose'day), entree was crab cakes with gouda baked potatoes, NY Strip steak ( was like butter) with three cheese mac n cheese and creamed spinach. Everything was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing, I enjoyed my experience and want to come back again. Another thing I really liked was the electronic check, that is so efficient and effective, nice touch!
Our server, Jeremy, was phenomenal. Absolutely phenomenal. Unfortunately, good service is so rare, that when its given, it makes an experience all the more memorable. The food was fantastic - order the creme brulee creme corn, praline basket and warm butter cake. You wont be disappointed!
Excellent restaurant for a special occasion or just a really nice dinner. We had a large family group. We received excellent service, fabulous food and overall great experience. The setting is lovely and adds to the over experience.
We had a great experience with a great wait staff and great food!
Just Married. Great Experience!
Wonderful dinner to celebrate our anniversary this week.
Always a delight! Impeccable service with awesome views and a perfectly manicured garden. Julian and Nick are amazing servers!!
If you want a nice peaceful, relaxing dining experience, Rays on the River checks all the boxes. Food is fantastic, views are amazing and service is outstanding. This is my go to place to bring guest, employees and clients. It just never disappoints.
We enjoyed Ray’s on the River restaurant , they made our Anniversary one to remember .
I ordered the spring menu and started with the chickpea salad. When it was served, it had artichoke hearts instead of chick peas. I asked about this and the waiter, who made no mention of this said, the chef did not like the chick peas that were delivered to the restaurant. While I appreciate that the chef did not want to serve deficient chick peas, perhaps the waiter could have said something instead of assuming I would like artichoke hearts, which I do not.
I asked my my wagyu steak medium. My request was ignored and my steak was essentially seared and served very rare. I’m aware that high end restaurants and chefs like you to order steak rare but it’s me eating it and paying for it, not them. If I ask for medium, try to serve it medium.
Everything else was good though service, nothing great especially igniting my request for medium and changing out my salad as stated without mentioning the change to me. I should have been told, not have to ask.
It has been over ten years since we ate at Rays and the place has only gotten better
The setting is even more beautiful with a lovely garden on the river bank. The food was delicious and the service exceptional — our waiter moved us indoors at our request in the middle of the meal and was so gracious about it.
We are going to be back much sooner
Rays was not as before. I longed for the flavorful and meaty crab cake that I’ve had previously. Unfortunately, the crab cake needed more season and the quality of crab was subpar. The lobster bisque was quite salty and the lobster topping was somewhat cold (as if it was just thawed). The Oscar salmon was ok, but the lobster risotto was a bit salty.
The service was interesting. I wasn’t sure who was my waiter. The older Hispanic gentlemen was disinterested in serving me. He was the one who took my order. He never came over to check on me during the appetizer, and asked from another table of I was okay when I was eating the main course. I had to turn around to answer him. The gentleman with dreads was very engaging. He came over directly to the table during each of my entrees to see if I needed anything. I wish I knew who received my 20% tip.
