Another delightful dining experience at Rattan! We began with cocktails (yum!). Appetizers (spicy edamame, beef short ribs, and spicy dumplings), entrees (salmon sashimi, rainbow roll, miso-glazed Chilean sea bass, and Crispy Thai Shrimp), through to dessert (lava cake, mango panna cotta, ice cream with Vietnamese coffee). All delicious, beautifully presented. Service was impeccable. Thank you, Rattan!

We have been eating at Rattan for many years. I am glad to see they are still in the neighborhood and that they survived the pandemic. They are a local restaurant that can be counted on to be consistently good. Last night we had the Vietnamese Beef and the Thai Shrimp. Both are excellent dishes, very tasty and flavorful. My wife and I shared the dishes. We would definitely recommend them. One thing I would like to see is that they have a more reasonable price on a cup of soup. They serve soup as an entree which makes it very expensive. As a result, I typically don't order soup, although I would like to have it.

Rattan is consistently good. We love their Vietnamese Garlic Beef. Their rolls are wonderful as well. We especially like the Shaggy Roll and Dragon Roll. Their house salad with wasabi vinaigrette is lovely.

Rattan is consistently good. Their kitchen staff are just so good. Waitstaff was excellent. We had been patrons for a number of years but moved a distance away. When we heard there were new owners we had hoped they kept the menu items we love, Vietnamese Garlic Beef, and Shaggy Roll. They did. We plan on making the drive soon and keep this great restaurant in our rotation. Kudo’s to the new management. Seems that more people have found out how good Rattan is.

Moved from Houston five years ago but came back to visit this week. Rattan hasn’t changed a bit, great food and service. My favorites are the special fried rice and the Chilean sea bass. We sat outside on the patio which makes for a lovely evening!

I highly recommend going for the happy hour 4 - 7 Food is actually surprisingly excellent, drinks are cheap and they have great service. They accept walk ins since its not too crowded, but making a reservation wouldnt hurt.

Service was slow and disconnected. The curry was too spicy without enough sauce and the tempura a bit too oily. The interior of the restaurant and the patio, however, was very nice and comfortable. We were not told until all the food was served that one of the main items ordered was unavailable. Also, the tempura appetizer was brought to the table instead of the entree, then taken back until the entree was made, leaving one person hungry for a while. The visit before this one was all fine, so this experience may be just a fluke.

The food here is awesome. The pan seared bass was was phenomenal, I highly recommend it. The sushi was fresh and delicious with good portions. The wait staff was attentive and helpful with recommendations. Treat yourself to a wonderful dining experience that you will remember fondly. A&R.

Great food and excellent service. The fish super fresh and loved the use of different spices. The bread pudding was a great way to finish the meal. This is a must try experience if you haven’t done so yet.

We chose Rattan Pan Asian Bistro for our next HRW adventure and we were not disappointed! The HRW menu was a great value and had many scrumptious items to choose from. We chose Malaysian Chicken Satay and Seared Salmon Salad as appetizers, Massaman Grilled Salmon and Miso Glazed Chilean Sea Bass as entrees, Butter Cake Cup and Bread Pudding for dessert. Oh yes, a couple of Iced Vietnamese Coffees to end everything. Service was friendly and attentive. All in all, a win-win!

We love this restaurant. My husband and I try to come here on a monthly basis. We love our server Kelly. This place is a wonderful hidden gem. Last night we got to meet the new owner Bobby. The food is spectacular and the drinks are as well.

The restaurant is nice and the staff are attentive but I did not care for the pad Thai. The dish appears assembled from separately prepared pre-cooked ingredients which are then assembled, covered in soupy sauce and zapped in the microwave. I was unable to finish it as it was also cloyingly sweet.
