The cost of the tasting menu is $295. Quince requests all cancellations be made at least 48 hours prior to avoid a $295 per person (plus tax) late cancellation fee; this policy also applies to same day reservations. Due to the complexity of the menu, it may not be possible to accommodate all dietary restrictions. Please note, our menu relies quite heavily on shellfish and dairy-based ingredients.
It was special experience ever! Everything was perfect!
Superb dining experience
What an absolutely impeccable dining experience! From the moment we walked in the door the staff went above and beyond to turn service into true hospitality. The decor was elegant and refined while the service was warm and approachable. No question went unanswered. Every course was beautifully curated with fine silver, china, glassware & plates handpicked by the owners on their personal travels from around the world. The golden ossetra caviar, wagyu supplement, and chocolate bon bon was the not only unparalleled but the best I have ever tasted in my life. The bathroom remained spotless the entire meal, not once did I even see a used towel in the bin. (Were they servicing it after every use?! I swear it was magic.) Every staff member was full of knowledge on the restaurant, chefs, place settings, and even the restaurants decor. We had one of the latest reservations and never once felt pressured to leave the almost empty restaurant. Our meal was timed beautifully. To top it off not only were we sent home with our printed personalized menu, a box of special chocolates (the bon bons that we mentioned were our favorites), but hot cider to take upon our exit from the restaurant. A must visit for any foodie, service aficionado, or anyone celebrating something special. Thank you for an evening I will never forget!
Wonderful..pace could be a bit faster.
Yummy! So good. I bit fancy but I can handle that
Presentation and customer service was phenomenal! The food was extraordinarily delicious. Definitely a place to go for a very special occasion as the cost of the experience was over the top as we did extend our menu to 10 tastings and upgraded two dishes. We only had one cocktail each and was very full at the end of the meal. The waygu beef was so buttery and delicious, however we were so stuff that we did not truly get to savor its wonderful flavor. I would highly recommend Quince for a very special occasion.
Quince has the warmest, kindest staff I have ever encountered in a 3 Michelin-starred restaurant. I’m fortunate to have dined in Michelin-acclaimed restaurants all over the world, and the hospitality at Quince stands out, even at this high-stakes level. The food was expectedly excellent, but a real surprise to me was the strength of its craft cocktail program, with wizard Michael at the helm. Quince truly deserves all of its awards!
Food was excellent but the service was even better. It was superb! They were extremely attentive. Definitely one of the very top restaurants in Northern California. It well deserves the three Michelin stars.
Great place, excellent food, impeccable attention.
All details was taken, very impress.
An amazing experience with fabulous food and staff!
Even for someone who loves food and is relatively price insensitive as long as the experts encryption is great, we found this to be a bit pricey relative to other three-star restaurants of the same (or better) caliber. Not a big deal, but be prepared for the $800 per person price tag.
Excellent food and service. Definitely worthy of Michelin 3 stars
extraordinarily delicious! Condition is also very well!
Took my best friend here for her birthday. The ambiance and service were impeccable; however, the food unfortunately was not up to my standard of 3 stars - it was about equal or slightly inferior in quality to Chez TJ (1 star) and not even in the same league as a couple of 2-star places I've been to (Helene Darroze [London] and Kikuchi [Tokyo]).
All the food and wines gave a feeling of "Huh, that is very good indeed", as opposed to "Holy mother of god, how did they do this, I want to cry" I got at the places above.
Some highlights and lowlights in case the restaurant reads this:
- Canapes were probably the best part, especially one with dry aged beef; extremely flavorful and made you want to savor it for as long as possible.
- Winter vegetables - most of them were pretty bland or regular.
- We had 2 caviar dishes: one "regular" and one more expensive one (costing $85 extra). The regular was outstanding. The expensive one, a black caviar pannacota, tasted way too fatty, as did the buns served with it - a waste of money unfortunately.
- Potatoes with mushrooms - second best and closest to mind-blowing; super wholesome, filling and flavorful, as was the bread served with it.
- Tortellini in broth with truffles were a complete failure and both of us took a couple of bites and didn't finish - very salty and with a flavor that can not be described as exquisite; the broth or the truffles didn't make it any better. The pork shoulder tortellini didn't taste like much of anything.
- Squab: very good flavor and texture of the meat.
- The desserts were overall unremarkable; I've had better at regular dessert shops (eg Maison Alyzee in Mountain View).
Once again - this is definitely a top-quality restaurant and if you have a special occasion it is a good idea to consider going here. But I will probably go elsewhere for my next special occasion to see if I can find something better in Bay Area.
Outstanding food and service. Highly knowledgeable and gracious staff.
Everything met our expectation and more!
Fantastic in every respect. Choose the wine pairings.
Food wasn’t good. Place was really loud. Only reason I give it more stars is because service is excellent. There was a Mexican waiter, wow! Incredible OUTSTANDING service!
We were not told that it was a prix fixe tasting menu. We went ahead with the meal when we should have just left. Course after course of beautifully prepared ingredients that when consumed one after lunch he other actually made one ill. Too many rich things fir one evening. The staff were extremely professional. The presentation very nice if a bit precious. What was GALLING is when the waiter brought two new wine glasses and said we’re giving you a taste of a grand cru burgundy with the squab and we said how nice foolishly thinking they were actually “giving “ us a taste. Not only was this wine inferior to the $35 glass of french burgundy I’d ordered with my meal. But it was turning. Almost skunked. Shameful. And it bumped or dinner from $175 per person to $275 per. So our dinner for two came to-over $800 for a meal we didn’t enjoy and in the end made us feel we’d been duped. My husband would like to afd it was the absolute worst dining experience we’ve ever had and we are telling everyone we know
Wonderful experience, both in taste and service! Despite the posh design and setting, the service makes it feel like home. Absolutely wonderful!
Restaurant very deserving of its 3* Michelin rating. The Tsar caviar was an explosion of flavour. Off the menu we the tried the White Truffle risotto. Specially flown from Italy they shaved copious amounts of white truffle on top of the risotto. Loved it!
This place is not something where I will go back. The food is 6/10 and I know it's a 3-star restaurant and because of that, I had very high expectations. The duck was really good and loved the bread.
Old fashioned - 3/10
Truffle and Risserto 3/10
Overall 6/10 based on the sitting, look and noise level. Crowded and Noisy place.
Drunk people because of way too much wine
Wonderful food and wonderful staff. Bravi!!!
Will definitely return, thanks for a wonderful evening
Extraordinary food. Inventive, with creative presentations. Wine pairing was spot-on. My wife and I will be talking about this meal for some time to come.
Excellent as usual. No complaints. Quince remains one of the top dining spots in the Bay Area and perhaps in the world.
I have been to multiple Michelin Star restaurants and I can say without a doubt this was the best dining experience I have ever had. The amount of attention we were given was just perfect. They took us into the kitchen for two of our courses to meet with the chef and watch the preparation of our dishes it was absolutely amazing. I can not say enough about the thought that went into each dish including the plating and utensils everything was thought out each dish was so composed and balanced. If you enjoy good food and fine dining you absolutely must come here.
The service was extraordinary. The staff went out of their way at the last minute to make sure that my wife who did not like many options on the tasting menu still enjoyed her meal. They were quite attentive and made it relaxed for a 3star Michelin rated restaurant. That being said I think some of the dishes did not live up to the greatest of expectations
Fabulous food, best on SF. We are at Saison previously and Quince was better. Only issue was service for slow second half of meal; couple next to use finished almost same time we did but they started 30 minutes later.
Excellent experience for our 7 year anniversary!
They went above and beyond to help me celebrate my first year anniversary. I do not just recommend this place.. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND IT !! Worth every penny. Thank you for an amazing night !
Another spectacular meal here. As usual there is a sense of play and fun, but also a sense of craftsmanship that defines the meal. The standout dish for me was an incredible risotto. This was completely different from any other risotto I've had: it was light and slightly crunchy, prepared tableside with parmesan foam. It was paired beautifully with Alba white truffle, truly an incredible dish that my companion and I are still talking about, and completely changes my whole conception of the meaning of "risotto". It also worked incredibly well with the truffle. Another incredible dish was the squab, perfectly prepared and tasting great, the squab really shone here. It sounds simple, just grilled squab, but was amazing. A fun canapes with smoked (and literally smoking) halibut with a bunch of other amusing sides. Oh, also there was an avocado sorbet with cucumber and sorrel, it sounds "healthy" but was actually really delicious. The desserts, however, were not nearly as good as they used to be here: much simpler and not as artful. Still, like I said, some of these courses were truly spectacular (I'm running out of adjectives here) and the meal overall, together with superb service, was absolutely wonderful.
Great hospitality, great night out with my friends who all were chefs!
This dining experience was meticulous and personal. They paid attention to every detail (we ate one course with tweezers). The wine was amazing. The staff went beyond all expectations to help me celebrate my birthday; including letting us eat one course in the kitchen.
Truly amazing experience. Amazing food and service. A night to remember
Beyond phenomenal. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an outstanding dining experience filled with flavor and incredible customer service. By far one of the best dinners I have had.
This was my 5th visit over a number of years--I've been 3 times by myself, once with my husband and this last visit with a friend who enjoys, like me, excellent food with a great dining experience. This experience is what sets Quince apart from other restaurants that serve excellent food (at a big price). Quince provides a unique journey and is only worth it if you are up for the adventure. We had the dinner paired with wine which, if you enjoy wine, makes the meal even better.
The meal took us more than three hours. The service is excellent in that they are there when you need them and absent when you don't. My friend (unlike me) is an excellent cook and she took notes on each dish and asked questions--some of the ingredients were things I had never heard of. This made the meal for me even more enjoyable. And when it was time for our "main" course we were invited to the chef's table for 2 in the kitchen. This was a priceless experience--amazing to watch the food being prepared by a choreographed group of professionals.
We showed 15 minutes before our reservations, were promptly seated, then not talked to or served again for 25 minutes until our first course came. There was serious lag between all of our courses over 30 minutes in most cases after we were done with each course. Other tables food and service around us was much more timely. For a 3 star Michelin restaurant that cost us over 1000 before tip. I really expected better service. The food was great, the wine pairings were even better.
