What Insiders Are Saying
No, Pizzeria Mozza is not the best pizza in LA. But that doesn’t mean it’s not still a good restaurant.
Pizza excellent, many creative toppings and good crust, plus simple topping. Be aware although the server may tell you that the tricolor salad is a "cesar" it is not romaine but more bitter greens. If you like that fine, we didn't. However you must have the dessert budino, a butterscotch pudding with a burnt caramel topping and unsweetened whipped cream. It is beyond marvelous. Sharing would be good.
We enjoy every meal at Mozza!
Hands down best restaurant ive been to. Best food, best service.
Great food with really good desserts. Expect a hefty tab. Will return while in LA area.
We loved the food but only would go back for carryout due to
Parking $14 and a bad experience waiting - cars lined up in the
Street - do not feel car was parked in a specific lot very random
Parking anywhere valet can find to park the car - not a desirable
Parking for $14❗️
Great Pizzia crust and fun atmosphere. Nice selection of beers, good service.
The tomato pizza and the bianca pizza are amazing vegetarian pizzas! The Tomato especially, is so light and bright!
Food was great as usual. Had a 10:45 reservation after an LA Phil concert. Few places are open late. Roasted vegetable salad fantastic. Get cheese with lentils worth the money. Pizzas great. Then they ruined it all. As we were finishing and before we paid the bill, they turned on the air conditioning full blast even though it was 49 degrees outside. Then they turned up the music full blast. We were not the only ones there but the message was clear: " Get out now. We want to close." Extremely rude and and out of character for a Nancy Silverton owned restaurant. I hope she reads this and corrects the problem.
The menu wasnt explained properly giving way to some questionable choices which we may not have normally opted for. The staff were dismissive and the prices were unnecessarily expensive!
Love this place an love bringing new people to try it. Very loud Saturday night! But otherwise deliscious food and fun environment.
WE USED TO LOVE THEIR PIZZA...BUT IT JUST WASN'T THE SAME...I DON'T KNOW IF THEY CHANGED CHEFS OR WHAT, BUT I JUST DON'T THINK WE'LL BE RUSHING BACK ANYTIME SOON. ALSO I FELT RUSHED BY BOTH THE WAITRESS AND THOSE BRINGING OUT THE FOOD.
THERE ARE BETTER PLACES OUT THERE TO DROP AN OUTRAGEOUS AMOUNT OF MONEY ON PIZZA.
I love Pizzeria Mozza but service was terrible this day. We normally like to sit in the wine room, since we come in large groups. However this time it was unavailable. Waitress took 30 minutes to get water and drinks came back way too late after food was set at the table and by the time she remembered it was our daughters birthday, we were already leaving.
Enjoyed the food at this much-hyped pizza restaurant (have also eaten next door at the sister restaurant, Osteria Mozza). Unfortunately, 88 dollars for 2 small-sized pizzas /salad / bruschetta, 40 dollars corkage fee and 20 dollars for parking seems a bit excessive. I realize that this is a buzz restaurant and the food was good. Also, our server disappeared in the middle of our dinner and one of the managers bussed our table and provided dessert, but no explanation as to what happened to our original server. Probably would eat here again if went with someone who wanted to go, but not go out of my way.
Food was great! Our waiter wasn’t very welcoming/friendly to my group but the food made up for it.
Great pizza and out of this world desserts!
Delicious! Nancy’s chopped salad was delicious and the pizza was very flavorful with an excellent crust. Would be a place I’d go to a lot if I lived in LA.
There’s no beating a lunch at Mozza. The roasted carrots were otherworldly. Warm octopus salad 😍😍. The pizzas are all outstanding. With a bottle of wine and dessert you’re looking at $130, but this was a special vacation lunch and worth every splurgey penny.
Love this place! I always come here when visiting LA.
We were a little early to our reservation and seated upon arrival. Friendly and attentive staff. Great wine suggestions! We shared the chopped salad, meatballs and a couple of pizzas. Everything was delicious. I want to be baked in the pizza crust so I could eat my way out of it. Bummed we were too full for dessert.
We love the pizza and salads! It never disappoints!
All food was exceptional. Chopped salad, bone marrow, and pizzas. Worth the trip
Service is really slow here. I get that that they are really busy but we waited 10 minutes to get the menu and then another 10 minutes to order and the same for dessert menus and orders
Still the best pizza in town. Always crowded to the max, but they ALWAYS honor a reservation on time. That's really good management.
Pizzeria Mozza is my go to place for amazing pizza. Had the tricolore salad in a tower of yummy anchovy dressing and the delicate Bianco pizza with fried sage. It’s a fun place with friendly waitstaff. Definitely a delicious meal.
Pasta shells with ricotta were outstanding. Great pizza as always. Ice cream very good.
This has got to be one of the best restaurants in Los Angeles. The pizza, garlic bread, and desserts are outstanding.
Food amazing. Wait staff super mediocre, not very knowledgeable.
Always a great time eating delicious pizza.
Excellent, as always! The freshest ingredients!
An amazing place with unique energy for a nice restaurant. It was perfect lunch date on last Sunday of the year
We thankfully made a reservation, this place is busy, rightfully so. The food is great!
This place is good if you want to be crammed like a sardine in a match box for a meal that is ok at best. Not sure what the hype is about at the Melrose spot, as it’s highly overrated for what it is, a pizza joint. Had a much better experience at the OC location.
They should gut it and expand Osteria Mozza.
Absolutely one of the best pizzas and salads ever.
Wonderful from start to finish.
Reservations are a must or risk waiting a very long time. The pizza has the very best crust: crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. The pizza sauce was delicious but the margherita could’ve used a little bit more cheese. The brussel sprouts were tasty. The meatballs were moist and very, very good. We topped off our dinner with 3 scoops of gelato. Great dinner! We will return the next time we are in Hollywood.
This is favorite family date spot! Always a special treat for school vacations!
Nancy Silverton....need I say more! Pizzeria Mozza offers a creative menu full of beautiful flavors with a wonderful atmosphere for all occasions. You can't go wrong here.
Great food, great service!
So yummy! Really great pizza.
