What Insiders Are Saying
No, Pizzeria Mozza is not the best pizza in LA. But that doesn’t mean it’s not still a good restaurant.
Delicious!! Roasted cauliflower might have been the best vegetable I’ve ever eaten!
A wonderful experience--as always. Food beyond delicious, service prompt and friendly. Always a treat!
Have been dying to come to Pizzeria Mozza and finally found time to go. Nancy’s Chopped Salad was the perfect starter (and the perfect size to share between two). I ordered the highly praised Bianca and OH MY GOSH. Hands down the best pizza I’ve ever had. My husband ordered the Meatlovers and also said it was the best meatlovers pizza he had had but if he only could chose one pizza to eat it would be the Bianca. It’s a MUST! We ended our lunch with dessert. Gelati for him (yum!!!) and the Butterscotch Budino, which also came highly praised and for good reason.
Everything was great and I’m sure the rest of the menu is also to die for but ALWAYS ORDER THE BIANCA!! You won’t regret it!
Best pizza in LA. Bring a big group of friends and order a bunch of them!
Terrific starters/antipasti especially carrot cumin salad and arancini. The garlic bread is to die for and the pizzas are fabulous! Attentive service. The place is noisy and busy but just the ambience one wants for a casual dinner.
Best pizza joint in LA by a long shot. Have to spend a little to get the goodies here, but well worth it for the flavor it leaves in your mouth. Never left here without a huge smile across my wine buzzed face.
AMAZING!!! Some of the best food I've ever had, excellent service, really cozy/fun ambience. My favorite spot for a special occasion.
Hostess was rude. Food was great!
Simply the BEST, and better than ALL the rest. #1 in LA for Pizza 👍
Such good food! Family friendly. Great place to have a birthday lunch!
Food, people, atmosphere, building, everything good
Overall Mozza continues to be a strong restaurant. As someone who has dined here dozens of times, one negative I noticed is I felt a bit rushed.
Terrible service. Had to wait over 40 minutes for food and then they forgot one meal. The lasagna was tasty but cold in the middle. The hostess was very kind to offer it for free. Usually love this place so will be reluctant to go back unless they improve their service.
One of the worst dining experiences I’ve experienced in LA and let alone at a restaurant owned by Nancy Silverton. First off the tables are sooo close together you cannot get in or out of your seat without being confronted by the table or person sitting next to you. The service was by far the worst thing about this place I was appalled, the waiter doesn’t write anything down but managed to screw up my husbands pizza and also forgot to bring us the drinks we had ordered when we sat down. After our appetisers came still no drinks so I had to remind our waiter and he said ‘ohh I’m sorry I forgot’ but then of course still charged us for them. Then the waiter left or took a break so we had no idea where he was or who our next waiter was, it was a complete disorganised mess until someone else dropped off our check and I had asked what happened to our waiter and he responded ‘that guy left awhile ago’ lol such great service... keep up the terrible work
Glad we made a reservation for a table as the counter seating did not seem to rotate through all that fast if we had just walked in.
Every course was incredible. We’ll definitely be back
Pizzas were creative and perfect! Crust is the name of the game in "pizza" and they have it right. Just like in Naples. Salads are light and delicious. But, save room for dessert as their homemade gelatos are amazing--flavorful and creamy! We ate in the "wine cellar" room and it was wonderful. Special night, great time. Thanks!
The bone marrow appetizer is amazing - so rare to find it! Meyer Lemon pizza was perfect! Very inventive with the fried capers! My only complaint is that, even though we were the first to be seated at lunch, they tried to put us at the absolute worst table!
I enjoyed the experience overall, but I dislike the “no seating of incomplete parties” policy. I understand why it makes sense for the restaurant, but I find it off-putting as a customer.
The best food in LA hands down.
Very good pizza! My favorite spot. Always good!
We loved our waiter’s recommendations - the lemon Meyer pizza, and the roasted carrots. The restaurant was very accommodating when we arrived late (traffic on a rainy day) and the casual ambiance was perfect because we brought the kids along. Can’t wait to go back and try other items on the menu!
It is very well done pizza, but it is just pizza nonetheless.
Great food, service was excellent. Couldn’t ask for a better dining experience. This restaurant uses quality ingredients.
The food never disappoints been awhile since I have been...great service, food and warmth in a restaurant!
Dad arrived in town and wanted the best pizza in LA. He was definitely satisfied.
I believe we didn't select the right things off the menu, I didn't care for the appetizer, the fried mozzarella was so tiny that it was embarrassing to share and the squid salad was also very small and not very tasty. The pizza was lukewarm not what I expected but the deserts were amazing and service was good except no one checked whether we wanted any more wine etc. Strange, I'm used to more attentive waiters in a place like this so it was OK not great.
The vibe at this place is great. Neighborhood gem with very good food and service. The pizza was delicious but not out of this world kind of pizza
Lovely experience. Salad + Pizza + Wine + the finest lemon dessert. Wow! and YUM!
We had a very nice lunch. The food was excellent. We started with the meatballs and the cauliflower. Delicious! We finished with 2 fantastic pizzas. The crust was excellent as was the sauce. Best pizza I have had in LA. Service was good. It gets a little noisy but well worth the experience.
My go-to place for a late dinner after attending the Oscars! This was my tenth year for my post-Oscars meal!
Had been to Osteria Mozza twice, and felt we just had to try the Pizzeria. So glad we did! More intimate a room than Osteria. The same attention service and quality ingredients. That Meyer lemon dessert. Ohmygod!
Everything was delicious and the service was great!
I went to Mozza for the Third time, and I Love this place so much. It's very cozy, great service, Amazing food and wine. It's one of my favorites!!!😊
Amazing food. Servers where very attentive but out of three I think one may have actually introduced themselves. All in all it was a fantastic dining experience and we’ll 100% be returning.
Great food and service, great atmosphere, great time with friends!
Outstanding as always! We sat in the Jack Warren room and it was great! A bit quieter than the main room.
The care and quality they put in to their pizza really shows.
First waiter took our drink and food order and wasn’t seen again. 15 minutes later Eddie jumped in and saved the experience. Was great service from then on. I wouldn’t order anything there but the pizza again.
