Terrific food, exceptional service, cool atmosphere and vibe, reasonably priced. Absolutely one of the better places in DC to dine. The gumbo and oyster dishes are very very well done. Fabulous place for locals and visitors.

Fantastic meal! We were there celebrating my birthday and my brother’s graduation. We had apps (baked and fresh oysters), entrees , and dessert. These were all wonderful but I have to say what made the meal was the service. Friendly and knowledgeable. The pacing was perfect. We had food quickly but weren’t rushed. The front of house and back of house had their system down to a science. We were well taken care of and I hope to make it back next time I’m in the area. Highly recommend.

We mostly enjoyed our food, especially burrata and asparagus flatbread. The branzino fish of the day was swimming in butter, much more than I desired. The skin was a bad texture. The fried oyster platter was tasty, but not really our kind of dinner dish. My friend wanted 3 raw oysters, but they have a 6 minimum order. Bummer. Our server was attentive, except for one of the beverages didn’t arrive until I pointed it out. The place is super loud. Sound voices off the walls and the bar was packed. Difficult to have conversation.

Best restaurant meal in some time and we eat out lots and at many places beyond our borders. Every oyster dish we had was superior eats. Cocktails could use some pizazzing but the food made up for that minor setback. Highly recommended for food, service, and ambience.

We haven’t visited Pearl Dive since the pandemic began and were very much looking forward to our return visit. Pre pandemic we were there several times a month for brunch or lunches. It was our neighborhood go to. It seems like many other restaurants, Pearl Dive has lost its touch. I will say that our waiter was very good, attentive and quick. However, the food was a total disappointment. The sizes of the entrees have gotten smaller. My brunch entree had 3 greasy pieces of bacon and breakfast potatoes that were oozing with grease. A friend actually squeezed one of the breakfast potatoes and had oil running down his hand from it. The other entrees at the table also were not good. Juevos rancheros tasted of crab which shouldn’t be the case considering they don’t include any seafood. Two ceases salads ordered at different time arrived at two different sizes. And to top it off our drinks weren’t refilled once. Sadly we will not be making a return visit here. Go across the street for brunch at Le Diplomate, you’ll have a much better tasting meal.

If you want to get away from the rich, uppity, stuffy DC crowd, this is the place to go. Funky, vibrant, friendly with amazing food and cocktails. The staff is excellent. We never had so much fun dining in DC until we came here.

Really enjoyed this for an early dinner on a Saturday. The front bar was busy with happy hour. Service was top notch. Servers and clearers were all on top of everything. First we had well made craft cocktails. Food came out quickly. (We waited a bit to put in our entree when the apps came so quickly). We had grilled and fried oyster appetizers. Both excellent. We asked for bread which came with super soft biscuits and not spicy flavorful jalapeño corn bread mini muffins. Our entrees were also delicious. Wood grilled Fish of the day Branzino, shrimp & grits, oyster po boy and shrimp cocktail were all very well made. Grits were a little spicy. I'd highly recommend this restaurant with southern flair.

We enjoyed our dinner at Pearl Dive Oyster! Our first time going there and I like that the food was different than the normal chicken and fish restaurants. The service was great, we had appetizers that were scrumptious, main dish was awesome and beignets and sorbet for dessert!! We were happy with the pricing as well. Not overpriced but very reasonable. They don't offer many choices for drinks but the one I ordered was great. I would recommend the Pearl Dive Oyster Palace to friends and family and hope to visit again soon.

My grilled oysters were fantastic! Margaritas delicious and our Po boy Oyster hand helds were spot on. Excellent service, busy and loud bar. Great to see so many out enjoying a great restaurant.
