Park Tavern Neighborhood Bar & Brewery is located in the heart of midtown on the corner of 10th St. & Monroe overlooking Piedmont Park and the midtown skyline. Park Tavern rejuvenated its restaurant and menu for the 2019 summer season. Our building was originally built in 1905 as horse stables for local racing enthusiasts and then transformed into a golf clubhouse in 1928. Although expanded and renovated over the years, the building still features some of the original woodwork and stone from the historic clubhouse. Today Park Tavern combines the historic charm of the site with the modern sophistication of Atlanta’s impressive skyline. The restaurant features handcrafted beers brewed on-site as well as spectacular patio dining overlooking the park and city. The menu features classic favorites such as burgers, salads, and sandwiches.

    Park Tavern offers four private dining areas perfect for all types of special occasions including holiday parties, rehearsal dinners, and corporate functions. Park Tavern Covid-19 Safety Protocol: Our top priority during the COVID-19 pandemic is to keep our guests and staff healthy. We are following the CDC-issued guidelines related to food service during this time and have also implemented additional precautions to keep our venue as safe as possible. In addition to the daily sanitizing of our kitchen, we have increased the frequency of disinfecting floors, surfaces, restrooms, and kitchen areas throughout the day. While it is not required to have even one ServSafe certified employee, we have 18 certified employees including the entire management team to ensure vigilance in proper food handling. Additionally, our event team is also trained in personal cleanliness and handwashing; and has also been instructed to not come to work with even the slightest of symptoms.

    We went in a Sunday afternoon. No need for reservation-there’s not even a hostess. You walk up and order at the bar then find a table and wait for a text to tell you to go get your food. We waited over 20 minutes for our food. The food was fine-typical “pub food” although pretty expensive. Of course the plus is you can sit outside and look at the park. The patio was covered and super hot that day. We ate outside.

    First time at Park Tavern and it was not as the website had led us to believe. Sat down under in the covered patio. It was very dog friendly, but very noisy from the blaring sound system made it hard for us to carry on normal conversation. Also, there is no table service, you have to order at the bar and go inside to pick up your food. While the staff is friendly and accommodating, it's not what i expected it to be. And there was no mention of this on their website. In fact, the website still recommends making an online reservation (which was totally unnecessary on a Sunday at 11:30am.)

    We arrived for our 11:30 reservation and they were closed. We knocked and a guy opened and said “Oh is it 11:30?” We should have left then. No one seated us. I went to the outside bar and the young woman told us to sit anywhere. We waited another 10-15 minutes, no waiter. We left. Wont be back.

    Not a fan…it’s become a self service restaurant. No watt staff. You scan the QR code to view menu. You place your own order at the bar. You receive a text to your phone when the order. You pick up your own order inside at the pick up station. Limited interaction with staff. Still I tipped but not sure what I got for it. Atmosphere is nice. Park background is picturesque. No free parking.

    The atmosphere with the view of the park is great. The food wasn't anything amazing but it was fine. The service wasn't so great. The server told my friend that her meal didn't come with a side when it did. The dip came out room temp so we had to send it back. Fortunately, the manager was very helpful and resolved the food issues quickly. Unfortunately, the drinks were not made as described in the menu and the bartender was not knowledgeable about the drink should be made. The bartender forgot the grapefruit soda, salt, a grapefruit wedge in my Paloma. It was just grapefruit juice and tequila. My friend ordered a mule but they must have used soda instead of ginger beer because it didn't taste link ginger. It tasted like a mojito. The atmosphere is great just be prepared for dive bar quality drinks.

    Went for lunch on a Sunday. No one greeted us, figured out where to go to order nachos and it was disgusting. They put a bowl of gross cheese on a pan with pita chips. Some fell in the dip. I’m allergic to wheat chips which is why I ordered nachos. Told them I am allergic to pita chips and the lady just added tortilla chips on top of the pita chips. Had friends meeting me there from Chicago and we left to go find another restaurant. This place used to be a great brunch spot but not anymore. It seems misleading that they are accepting reservations for lunch. They’re serving bar food for take out basically, which is fine if that’s what you’re expecting. Wouldn’t recommend the nachos.

    Definitely not a place to go if you’re looking for a quiet setting. I was under the impression that the place was a typical restaurant until arriving and seeing that you have to not only order your food at a counter, but also go retrieve it yourself from another location. The service of the employee that was monitoring the food was very rude and the bar tenders had close to no knowledge in relation to the drinks my husband and I requested. The menu was also very limited and didn’t allow for many options.

    We arrived for a large family gathering with reservations for 12 people. No one was aware of reservations. There was no table service and we were initially told that everyone should order on their phone. What a disaster! Sam, one of the staff, took pity on us and arranged for us to have a tab and let everyone walk up to the counter and place an order with her. We had people from infants to seventies and everyone ended up enjoying themselves watching football, visiting or ice skating. Having not been to this restaurant previously and with few pictures or explanations on their website I was not aware of the various “dining rooms”. This all took place on the lower level which was noisy and rather dark but the casual food was tasty and fairly priced.

    Me and my family had a wonderful time. The Ambience was wonderful, bar staff was nice. The food was good, skating was fun! I absolutely love the firepits! Will definitely be back next year for Christmas 🎄

    The staff was not prepared for our group when we arrived. It was not very busy there so we were able to gather a table eventually, but I expected the Park Tavern to have seating ready upon arrival. The food and environment was great with the holiday decor and ice skating. My family really enjoyed the venue and view of the city.

    Why were we allowed to make reservations if the reservation wasn’t honored? We arrived to be told it was open seating and to grab a table when it’s available. Very annoying.

    Great place to relax with your dog and friends. Food is excellent. Only one very minor drawback, you have to place your order (drinks and food) at the bar and then when ready go pick up. I understand with current limitations people working, why this is necessary and am ok with that. However, when you are by yourself with a large dog (Great Dane) can be quite a trick with the dog and carrying food and/or drinks through the restaurant. On the up side a very nice lady working the bar carried my food to the table for me. Kudos to her for helping me. Wish I knew her name. Given that service I am very pleased with Park Tavern and we will be back again and again.

    My parents and I went to Park Tavern for lunch on Father’s Day. Other than having to order at the bar and pick up inside we really enjoyed it. The weather was beautiful and the food was excellent per usual. I plan to go back in a couple of weeks. Looking forward to the live music on Sunday. The steak burger was AMAZING by the way!

    Food was okay. The chicken tenders were a little undercooked. The shrimp tacos were solid. Has basically turned into a self serve restaurant...order at the bar then pick up your own food. Really limited service. Might be due to staffing challenges.

    I couldn't get last minute reservations at my normal VA-Highland haunts so I brought a party of 10 to have lunch before the Botanical Gardens. I figured with reservations, the experience might be decent. We had a hard time finding the entrance to the restaurant and when we got there, a gentleman helped us pull a couple of tables together but didn't say anything about the set up. We sat for a while thinking we would be waited on. When we asked a lady she abruptly told us what the policies were. We were shocked at the counter only and on line order policy. We tried to go along with it but then none of us wanted to set up an account with the on-line menu company so we left and had a great lunch at the little Mediterranean Grill across the street. COVID or NO COVID, with this set up, I will not be back. They must make their money on events cause the restaurant side was dead and not well kept.

    I’m not sure why this place is even on Open Table. It’s not a bar/restaurant in the traditional sense at all. You order at the bar and pick your food up across the dining hall. Made reservations, but has to pull table together ourselves. Food was pretty good, no complaints there, but it reminded me more of a lunch linger after the 9th hole. Not a place for a sit down lunch or dinner unless you’re in shirts and in the area.

    I drove all the way over to this restaurant for my 1045 reservation with my 3 friends. We had landed at the airport earlier that day from texas. I arrived @1038 pm and was turned away by the bartender as she states they are closed for service.

    We were surprised upon arrival that reservations are not needed or do they recognize them. It is an open room where walk up to windows to place your order and find your own seat. No need for Open Table. The food was good and the wine pours ample. Lots of noise due to the open outside covered enviornment but there is a inside room that is quiet you can sit in. You order at the window and then pick up your order in another location.

    They had no servers! We had to get our own food from the bar for a party of 20. Can’t believe it. If it weren’t for the ice skating it would have been a disaster.
