The French onion soup was delicious but the rest of the meal was adequate. I got the duck and it was very salty.
Service was outstanding: attentive and friendly but not intrusive. They are observing covid protocol with increased cleaning and sparse seating. The food is good, but can be aggressively seasoned (e.g., the potato rosti that accompanied an otherwise find duck confit) The moules frites and onion soup were the highlights of the night. Escargots were tender and were accompanied by an unctuous mushroom duxelle nestled in a crispy vol au vent. We were so stuffed that we did not attempt desserts.
I absolutely *loved* the wait staff and the food at this restaurant. My trout was cooked perfectly with a crispy skin, my husband said his soft shell crab was delicious, and my daughter loved her salmon. The ambience was quiet and formal - which may not have been the best combination for a Mother's Day Brunch with a 4 year old and an 11 month old (I felt embarrassed a number of times!), even though the wait staff were more than flexible. Would definitely recommend this place for a date night/brunch or family with older children.
The service was very unprofessional and slow. The experience and quality of the food didn't match the price
So this is my wife's favorite French restaurant in the area!
Love the mussels, drinks, cheeses
We always ❤love going there we just wish we could afford to go more often.!!!
Great venue. Quiet clean, new, modern. Service is very good and food excellent. Parking is plentiful and free and close.
Everything was okay until we were asked to leave since we had been there for 2 hours.
Solid French bistro fare, well-executed in a comfortable and sophisticated atmosphere.
We were very impressed with the wine list and the food. Several good French wines by the glass. The duck confit was one of the best we have ever had. Really enjoyed the pate. Can’t wait for the rooftop to open.
We’ve eaten here twice now— once for brunch and our latest visit for dinner and drinks. Everything is fabulous here from the service to the food to the cocktails to the lovely dining space. Food is very authentic French. Reminded us of restaurants we ate at in Paris! Highly recommend the house salad, French onion soup, duck confit, and the chocolate hazelnut pot de creme! Loved Requin which was the prior restaurant but we think we like Parc de Ville even more.
We've been big fans of Parc de Ville's sister restaurant, Chez Billy Sud in Georgetown, as a romantic anniversary/date night spot. Unfortunately, Chez Billy Sud had a COVID scare this week during our 1 year anniversary, and was closed for safety. I snagged a reservation at Parc de Ville, and we had an excellent evening. Our server was very friendly, and was also serving as the bartender, so we had excellent drinks. We got a few very nice perks for our anniversary, which was very sweet of them. The food was *excellent*, the same great French inspired food that we loved at Chez Billy with a few twists. The dining room was very spacious and well decorated, and tables were well spaced and very comfortable for COVID precautions. I was concerned that the larger space might feel a bit crowded, but the noise levels were very low and we had a very romantic dinner. As others have noted, service wasn't necessarily fast -- I think the restaurant is running a shorter staff given the reduced capacity -- but we were never waiting on a server and had an excellent evening. Strongly recommend!
It's always a real pleasure to be at Parc de Ville. Service is super, Dan's cocktails THE BEST. Lucky for us we live close enough to visit often. So so happy Parc de Ville survived 2020; looking forward to the rooftop deck this spring.
We had a lovely evening- service was great! Fun ambiance!
Excellent, attentive service. Delicious food -- we tried chef's cheese selection, Steak Frites and Salmon En Croute. We also enjoyed the specialty cocktails: French Martini and Sazerac. We'll definitely go back. AND they're adding a rooftop wine bar that's opening in May!
The food was ok. The service is a different story... I made a reservation to celebrate my fiends birthday and besides the fact that the we’ve been pretty much forgotten at the table and there was one more other table we n the whole restaurant. I tried to be discreet and asking our server to add a candle to the desert for my friend’s birthday and she literally yelled back to the kitchen “Can you add a candle to the desert” as she was waking away, not far from our table. While I believe she must of been tired, it is still something you need to be aware of as why I came to you and whispered vs saying it loudly. Anyhow, the first experience was ok but not enough reasons to go back to this place, which is its shame because it’s seems like a nice place to go for dinner.
Too few servers. My short rib was fine, though a little dry. My friend’s steak was cooked perfectly, but the cut wasn’t great and had gristle in every bite. Fries and mashed potatoes were excellent as was the escargot appetizer. Wanted to love this place because it definitely looks like a French bistro, but would probably never go back if I lived in DC.
This was a wonderful meal with great service. The precautions due to the pandemic made us feel extremely safe and the noise level was blessedly low. Would recommend and will return.
We enjoyed the food very much. The COVID restricciones that are practiced are great. These include the contactless menu, the tables far apart, waiters wearing masks and patrons being asked to use a mask while not at their table. Our waiter was horrible and unfortunately made for a less pleasant evening. His poor attitude and unfriendly manner made us feel less than welcome. For this type of service we can elsewhere. Every other time we have been to Parc de Ville it has been very pleasant. We were celebrating two weeks after having had our 2 vaccines and specifically chose this restaurant because we have enjoyed previous visits.
Absolutely marvelous! The food was amazing. I had the braised short ribs and was blown away. Incredibly spiced, perfectly done. My wife had the salmon - an excellent dish but we both agreed the beef was better. Service was fantastic and the restaurant is gorgeous.
Great environment and delicious food and drinks
Our table of 6 thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant. Every dish was delicious. It was a good value for the money and we will be back again.
The food and service was really good. They did a really good job with Covid-19 precautions; saw lots of cleaning before and after tables were cleared, made everyone wear masks as you get up, and tables were distanced. While the server was great, the food came out pretty slowly but it was ok since we were not in any rush catching up after a year.
This was my first time at Parc de Ville, and it will not be my last! As a certified Francophile I am beyond excited to have a true French style bistro in my neighborhood! The food was fantastic, (have the foie, you won’t be disappointed), the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and the ambiance was perfect. I have been very limited in my exposure during Covid, rarely venturing out. I felt completely safe and comfortable with the mask requirement, hand sanitizing stations and social distancing measures in place. Best meal I have had in over a year!
A wonderful meal and experience again!;) we come about once a month and really love this French restaurant! From great, thoughtful food to amazing service, it’s just a great place in all ways! Thanks again for an exceptional meal!!
Excellent dining experience! First time there. Friendly, welcoming staff. The food presentation was beautiful and delicious. Will definitely be returning again.
What a nice evening we had at Parc de Ville. Our server, Woods, was perfect--attentive without being pushy, friendly, quick to laugh, knowledgeable, and efficient. Both my friend and I commented that he made us feel as if we were "regulars" and in a genuine way. The rest of the staff were also fun and easy to talk with. Food and drinks were spot on. Have to recommend the Rose Garden martini. Dangerous. Sequencing of the courses was just right. Atmosphere low-key but not boring. Lighting and music neither too much nor too little. Table spacing just right for these strange times and the COVID-19-related procedures clear and precise but not overbearing. Tidy and sanity restrooms. Parking is easy in the convenient garage just across the street. My new go-to place in Mosaic.
Absolutely charming restaurant with fabulous food. The escargot was delicious and the sea bass and steak frites were some of the best I’ve ever had. Clean plates all around. Can’t wait for the rooftop bar to open!
Excellent brunch menu choices from light fluffy tarragon omlets with fritas to duck on risotto. they also have an excellent selection of french teas.
The dining room is elegant with high ceilings, floor to ceiling windows, bold chandeliers, and fun art.
Premier location for dates or casual get togethers with friends
A cold Tuesday night, COVID restrictions still in place...,it doesn’t seem fair to be asked to rate any restaurant on its ambiance. Having been to Parc de Ville in the past, I know how delightfully lively it can be. Still, for wanting something a little different for an anniversary it fit the Bill. The escargot was delicious. Can’t wait to go back and have the French Onion Soup!
It was absolutely delicious and the attention from our waiter/host was impeccable. We felt like royalty. Definitely my new favorite spot! And covid safe so big plus on that.
Food was delicious! Whiskey sours were perfect and the service was great!
Everything was excellent. Service was low-key but competent. Plates were attractive. Great desserts.
The food was average. Drinks and ambiance was great
Great experience! Food was delicious. A bit slow on the service side but overall great meal.
Server Dan was wonderful - polite, friendly, and helpful! Food was delicious - will certainly return.
Elegant ambience and good quality food. First time trying escargot, great experience. The server was considerate and instead of trying to sell me the most expensive or fancy wine. She asked me what was my budget and from there she help make recommendations. Will come again.
Their vegetarian choice was too salty and had too much of an eggy taste. The onion soup was almost devoid of taste. Adding a lot of cheese did not balance that shortcoming.
My sever was very friendly but I was never checked in on after items were served. The food was just meh. I really wanted to leave being wow’s because the place is so cute. I really liked the wines and will go back for that.
We went for Valentine's Day, and had an excellent dinner and smart wine pairings. The food was great, the service was attentive, respectful and pleasant - no complaints there at all. Bistro-like atmosphere with high ceilings. Probably quieter than usual due to the pandemic. I could easily see this place as packed and a bit more boisterous. It's right across from the parking deck in the Mosaic District, so that's convenient.
No need to go all the way to DC anymore for a restaurant like this in VA suburbs!
