Please make sure glasses are cleaned/polished prior to service. There is no reason to serve dirty glasses. Temp of the food was luke warm. Hot food should be HOT. Shrimp on wifes salad was missing. They fixed the issue but where were the safeguards to make sure before the food was sent out that the food was spot on?

I love this restaurant. So much so that even when I thought the restaurant was still on Rockville Pike, then found out you have moved to Gaithersburg, there was no question I would still make the extra drive to dine here. I had a Brazilian Seafood Stew which was...*chef's kiss*...delicious!

Didn't enjoy the chicken tacos. I don't think I've ever had a blender taco. Beef tacos were alright but had too much juice. It made the entire to tortilla fall apart.

First off, our server, Timmy, was an absolute delight. She made the meal pleasant even though the food was decidedly unpleasant. The food is pedestrian at best. The way Carrabba's is "Italian," Paladar is "Latin." I don't want to get into all the details of our negative experience (except for Timmy), I'll just sum it up with two examples. 1. The guacamole tastes like it comes out of a plastic container like the kind you buy at the supermarket. In my view, if the guacamole in a Latin restaurant isn't good, you're in trouble. (I'm not wrong.) 2. Two of the three people in our party were sick afterwards. I feel bad about this because Paladar had been recommended by a friend; the ambience is very festive and pretty; and we loved Timmy. But, even though I would go back just because of Timmy, who went out of her way to make us happy (and we really appreciate that!), the cuisine has nothing to offer that would make us come back.

Dinner with family for Mothers Day celebration. The only positive was were were seated on time due to our reservation. Understandably it was a busy Sunday dinner but the floors were so dirty with food scraps. We were acknowledged by our Server after a bit of a wait and by that time was ready to order the entire course. He did warn us the kitchen was behind. Drink came to us after 18 minutes (3 lemonades). Appetizer Calamari was brought after 40 minutes of waiting. It was a cold already. The indoor seating A/C was blasting so cold as if outside was 98 degrees when it was only 70 degrees outside. Customers started putting on jackets and was quite uncomfortable for elderly patrons. Entrees were finally brought after an hour, burger was bland, fries were cold, pork carnitas taco was with slaw but specifically order without it, added another 5 minutes of waiting for the correct order. The rest of the food was just fair. Management needs to see to it that a Manager is there to run operations smoothly especially on a very busy day like Mothers Day. I doubt one was on duty. Verdict, I highly doubt I will be back since there are better options nearby and within 10 mile radius. This should be a learning experience to Management. I do see a lot of negative reviews online after Mothers day.

The food took one hour the get to the table, this is not acceptable. Some of the items in the menu were extremely spicy, even when this was not mentioned on the menu. I don't think we might return to Paladar.

It was Mother’s Day - I get that. All the restaurants are crowded. 40 mins past our reservation time and we weren’t seated so we left. Many tables had dirty dishes 20+ mins after the party left, which is crazy as people were waiting to be seated. I got this reminder for feedback so I answered the request. It wasn’t good and we never did get to eat here. I like the food from previous visits, can’t tell you how good it was that night.

Pathetic and disappointing Mothers Day for my sweetheart. A reservation was made several days earlier. After two and a half hours the server came out at tell me they were out of what I ordered and asked if I would order something else. I ordered the manager to address me with the issue. We left hungry very shortly after that.

Wait was over two hours for dinner, with a reservation. Drink order was taken immediately, yet wasn't served for nearly 45 minutes. It took another 45 before any apps/chips were served. Another 30 minutes (after asking) to get dinner, which was served cold, excluding the kids' food which was microwave-level scorching hot. They had no high chairs available, though one was requested with the reservation, so one year old sat on our lap for essentially the entire dinner. We love this place and are supremely disappointed. Knowing that Mother's Day is so busy, this still missed the mark badly.

Two of the three entree's were dry and lacked flavor. The third entree, Feijoada Stew was wonderful and full of flavor. I would rethink the rice on the board, not an artistic presentation. Possibly put it in a saucer or eclectic bowl on the board. The salmon was an excellent presentation, but dry. Overcooked. We ordered it medium, next time we suggest medium rare. The waitress seemed like she tried hard and was very nice. Unfortunately, she was not attentive to the table, I had to go to the bar to get additional drinks and she made several mistakes to include charging me for food items that I did not order. Overcharge, I noticed it and had the manager delete the overcharge. The back patio needs ambience, let's not depend on the trees around the property as the only visual scenery.

They forgot we we there, brought the wrong meal, and then charged us for the correct meal and the incorrect meal! Couldn’t find anyone to fix it for ten minutes so just paid and left. Won’t be back.

Food was excellent. Enjoyed the customized guacamole and our entrees (seafood stew, mixed grill) were delicious. Drink menu had a bunch of nice options too. Unfortunately, service was very disappointing. Took 25 minutes for server to great table - had to ask manager for assistance. Manager then offered to comp our appetizer, but it still appeared on the bill. Drinks we ordered took about 20 minutes to get and one we ordered was not available. Replacement took another 15 minutes to arrive. After we finished dinner, we sat around for a while, but nobody ever bussed our table, so dirty plates were there the entire time. Lastly, we were never offered dessert. Was hoping for better, but perhaps it was just an off-night.

Restaurant seemed understaffed but the servers were very nice. Menu does not have alot of non pork options and food overall was just ok. Drinks were strong and the overall aesthetic was nice. Would not go back though.

Great experience! My wife and I went out for a date night. We are both vegetarian/vegan and we were happy with the veg items on the menu. Savory and filling. We both had to-go bags because the portion sizes were so full - we also had the cheese bread and plantains for apps. No dessert because we were stuffed but sure we will have some next go around. Also the manager walked around to check on us and made a replacement to a fresco flavored drink which was really kind. We will be back here soon!

5 stars; superb on every level! We were looking for an exciting new dining place. My wife had lunch one time at the Paladar, but we had never tried a dinner together. So, we decided to give it try, in a party of four. We were pleasantly surprised by the warm & beautiful ambience in the restaurant. We made reservations, and were seated promptly. Our waitress, and everyone who visited our table, was delightful, friendly, & professional. We ordered the Guac appetizer; and we were not disappointed. It was fabulous in taste, portion, & presentation. The most satisfying moment of the evening for me was when my mother in law tasted her meal. She ordered the Caribbean Chicken. Her look & her response were wonderful. She loved the presentation & taste of her meal. That was true for all of us, which included the Beef & Steak meals, as well as the chicken tacos, that were served with crushed peanuts. A pure delight to the palettes. The sangrias were unique & profound. I had the Atlas IPA that simply enhanced an already terrific meal. We were 100 % satisfied with our dining experience, and highly recommend Paladar for everyone.

I had the queso for my appetizer, but it was over cooked and solid 1/2 of the way from the top to the middle. I had the beef corn tacos which were pretty bland. Didn’t bother trying dessert. Would not go back, food was not worth the price.

We had a really great date night at Paladar... We love good hearty comfort food but that also feels special and fancy for a rare date night or, and this was the perfect spot. My husband tried the run punch and it was delicious, I am not a drinker and the bartender did a delicious and refreshing capairinha mocktail for me. I got the ropa vieja and my husband had the chimichurri, and we would both definitely order again. The Brazilian cheesy bread appetizer is fantastic. Our new favorite spot up in that neighborhood.

First visit here. Loved the traditional guacamole and the chips which came with it. Blackened fish tacos were just ok, a bit dry. Grilled chicken was much better. Will revisit to taste more of their food.

Paladar and its sister restaurant, Bomba, are two of our favorite restaurants. The food is always excellent and the service great. We particularly appreciated the suggestion to try Papa Pilar Dark Rum. A bottle of this rum will soon be located in our liquor cabinet 😊.

Appetizers and Drinks were Great but the Main Meal (Chicken Tacos) were very dry with no flavor. Our Waiter was extremely busy due to short staff so didn’t bother to address the food quality…Overall, the dining experience was above average.

As always, the food was delicious, timed perfectly, and well presented. Our server, Alex, was terrific — attentive, personable, and fun. The only thing that detracted from our visit was the music. There are so many incredible Latine musicians: Celia Cruz, Tito Puente, Selena, Rubén Blades, Enrique Iglesias...Why play nothing but hip-hop songs that all sound like they were recorded using the same drum machine with only one preset?
