The food menu is quite limited, and portions are small. Food is average, and there is no dish we had that was impressive.I would recommend a much greater choice of different oysters and the ways in which they are prepared(i.e. baked, grilled, fried, shooters, raw), especially since the restaurant is named Oystercatcher. Also, menu needs more fish and shellfish dishes. As a Wild Dunes Golf Member, I expect more from the Hyatt restaurants in Wild Dunes in order to attract me to eat there.

Crème brûlée was too sweet, otherwise branzino and octopus hush puppies were very good. No plate change from appetizers to entree left us with small plates for the entree. No water refill, no serving spoon with dishes so were hand to use our own utensils to take the food from the dish.

The restaurant is located just inside the hotel door in the lobby. Literally …you feel like you’re sitting in the lobby. There is zero ambiance. We had reservations and were seated right away, but it took the server 10 minutes to come take drink orders, even though there were hardly any customers. The drinks took another 10 minutes to arrive. We weren’t impressed, so we ordered 2 appetizers and left to have my husband’s birthday dinner somewhere else. The focaccia bread was tasty, as were the fried oysters.

Menu was not extensive but there were excellent choices for entrees and small plates. Plus the creme brûlée and chocolate coconut desserts were fantastic.

The most amazing food, everything was the best I’ve ever had. She crab soup and hush puppies stuffed with shrimp- I thought it couldn’t get better… but then we had the filet mignon and a crab pasta and both of those were out of this world. Dessert was sort of a deconstructed lemon meringue pie, you must try ! Cocktails also wonderful- excellent margarita with a new star - Lalo tequila, and an “interesting find” wine- a Malbec was absolutely delicious. The service was perfection as it always is. Such a pleasure to dine here. Can’t wait to return!

Terrible experience! Server never even asked what we wanted to drink. Also all of our food was ready at various times and truly took away from our experience. I would never book this place again!

Super long wait. I guess they would prefer you get the buffet and not order off the menu.

Good was flavorful but the portions were tiny. The hamachi appetizer was very good but barely two forks worth. The oysters on the half shell were very expensive for an “Oyster” restaurant. We also had the small plate fried oysters which were ok but were overly flavored with lemongrass. Overall the food was good but not worth the price.
