A long time favorite of our guests, The Pasta Tasting at Osteria Mozza is now exclusively available at the Amaro Bar, Monday through Thursday evenings. In this five course menu, enjoy a selection of four of our classic pasta dishes, some of which are only available in this tasting menu, and end the meal with our iconic Butterscotch Budino for dessert. A wine pairing is available for an additional $65. We had a lovely dinner last night. Catalina took very good care of us all night long. The Nancy's Caesar, Orecchiette, & Tiramisu were the food standouts of the night! The drinks & food were all delicious & beautifully presented. It is pricey though, especially the espresso martini that clocked in at $35!!! When we ordered it, we thought it was $25. That feels a bit excessive. But, other than that, a lovely experience all around!

The food was amazing and worth the flight in for a birthday treat. That said, we had to advocate for our dining experience. We booked an early dinner and were there when the restaurant opened. Upon entering, the young lady who greeted us directed the hostess to take us to a table in the back room in the corner up against the private party dining room. Everyone else who arrived at the same time was sat in the main dining room. We sat there immediately thinking, “why are we being put back here when we had a reservation, there are many empty tables in the main room, and no one else is being sat here. When our waiter arrived, he asked if we’d dined there before. We had not. He then instructed us that we needed to order all courses at once and not wait until after each to order more food. Seriously? Being there with a friend who has been a chef Europe, New York, and San Francisco, who has worked with the likes of Jeremiah Towers, and is highly accomplished in her own right, she said she’d fire a server who treated a customer that way. After about 20 minutes of waiting and seeing no one else seated in the back room, we asked to be moved. We were told it was not an easy request to accommodate but they’d try. Ultimately we were moved and saw that there is a significant difference in the energy level and experience in the main room. Our new server was amazing and sent over the Sommelier to help with wine selection. We enjoyed the burrata, seared octopus, multiple types of pasta and the wagu tomahawk steak. The gelato flavoring was not exceptional although the olive oil and rosemary cake was amazing. The front desk staff and first server issues should be addressed but the 2nd server and meal made up for what felt like judgement in the beginning. We are not LA hip but we are great customers and you never know who you are serving.

I had not been in nearly a year, in fact since December 30, 2022. It was a date night, for which the restaurant was ideal. We were seated quickly at a cozy table for two in by the window on Highland. The server was extremely knowledgeable and professional. She made excellent suggestions, many of which guided us. I had not had a negroni in some time. This one hit the spot with just enough of a bitter ending to balance the orange. The sommelier took time with us so that we arrived at a lovely bottle of Barbera d'Alba that met us gleefully with the starters yet did not overwhelm the branzino with chiles, which try. The chicory salad, octopus, tarragon-laced ravioli and fusilli (I think) ragout made for great beginnings and middles, fun to share. We'll be back sooner than the previous interval. It's also a great way to begin the holidays.

We enjoyed the pasta tasting. It was a bit unorganized as anyone could sit at the bar even though they weren’t there for the tasting making it less special. People were just having drinks so paying $350 was not worth the experience.

My husband and I went here for our wedding anniversary dinner last night and this restaurant made it an absolutely delightful experience from beginning to end! The food was incredible, the ambiance was beautiful while also being comfortable, and more than anything, the staff and service was the best we've ever had in our lives. From the hosts to the waiters to the managers and even the bus boy, everyone made us feel special and ensured we were taken care of. They all knew our dietary restrictions, were happy to accommodate any request, and even folded my napkin each time I left the table to go to the restroom! I'm pregnant and they made extra sure to let me know what was safe for me to eat on the menu. They were understaffed in the kitchen that night and comped us our first plate to apologize for the wait. They also left us a little card to say happy anniversary and provided us with some complimentary drinks of choice when they learned we weren't drinking champagne to celebrate it. It was clear they were all on the same page about the expected level of service they were meant to provide, and they all did it so genuinely and with a smile. They were truly a class act that only served to enhance how wonderful the food and atmosphere already were. My husband and I are still riding high feeling like we are on vacation even the next day. Truly couldn't have asked for a better experience.

We did the pasta tasting which was a great way to sample many of the dishes. The dessert was excellent too. My husband and I were very full by the end of the tasting. I have tried a pasta tasting in LA that was cheaper but the quality here is superior. $75 per person without the wine pairing. Would recommend for a special occasion. If bar seating is not your thing, then this wouldn’t be a good option as you sit at the bar counter seats.

We came for the pasta and cheese! As a certified cheese gworl, I need bigger balls of Mozzarella next time, but damn it was so tasty!!! I LOOOVED my pasta dish, and my friends pasta dishes too (we split everything 3 ways). I would come back here for another special occasion.

It was our first time at OM - we were generally very impressed with both the service and the food. I think some items were a tad off but all in all, we enjoyed our experience and would go back to try different things. Some notes: Pasta dishes - VERY small. You'd need 2 orders to make it a small plate of pasta. It's really appetizer size. Not enough for a kid to eat. Side Veggies - Ok at best. Would skip these next time. Our carrots were so oily and over dressed (too much toppings... simple is better). Potatoes were a bit too cooked. Main courses: Branzino fish was fabulous - perfectly cooked and simple, you got to taste the delicateness of the fish. Rabbit was delicious but a bit salty for my taste - still a wonderful choice. These are full sized plates. Appetizers: The Cesar salad is wonderful - deconstructed so unusual way to eat it. Mozzarella plate with the 3 samples was a bit bland... not what we were expecting. Desert: Tiramisu - different - use of darker chocolate made it more interesting. A bit "wet" but still delicious. We were seated in the back room where the ambiance is more quiet. If you get a table in the bar area, I think the vibe is different and more exciting/loud.

Service was amazing! I hade the ricotta and egg raviolo. It was fantastic! I ordered the tiramisu for dessert. It did leave something to be desired. It was swimming in a coffee syrup. Restaurant was a bit loud, but was able to have a conversation.

We had confusion with a dessert we didn’t exactly receive. We ordered the olive oil cake and ice cream but received a different dessert. (Little sugar dough balls with ice cream) I even mentioned to our server Charity that it looks different and she said no this was correct, although admitting she just started working there. Perhaps because it was my wife’s birthday, they gave her the standard birthday dessert, but we ordered a different thing and didn’t receive it.

My fellow diner liked the pork. I had the ciopinno which was salty, with the so_called broth as if from a. can of tomato sauce. The fish had a rubbery texture. All in all it tasted stale and old. Decided against Gelato at $16, cocktails are now up to $21. After five years of patronage will no longer dine there.
