Osteria La Spiga
You'll love our atmosphere as much as the food! We are located in the artfully renovated Piston & Ring building; its rustic-elegant design is warm enough for family, yet cool enough for a date. We hope you'll join us soon for a tantalizing taste of Italy in our warm, inviting space.
I went to Osteria for dinner with my girlfriend, and was minimally impressed. While the food isn't bad, it's overpriced and pretty pedestrian. That said, the drinks and the ambiance were quite good, and our server was fantastic. While an enjoyable evening, I wouldn't recommend Osteria simply on the basis of what they put on a plate.
We split the eggplant as an appetizer, and it was amazing. We'll be doing that next time we go. Love this place.
Excellent. Wine by the glass overpriced.
Great dinner and great service.
This place was a random pick for us and chosen mainly because of it's great location, next to a concert venue we were attending later that evening. We dined early, before the restaurant filled up, but all parts of the experience exceeded our party of 4's expectations. Imaginative scratch cocktails, impressive wine list---especially the Italian red selections---, and creative twists on new and more traditional Italian themed dishes. Really nice waiter with a beard (forgot his name). We're planning to go back soon with our whole family. Thanks!!!
Jesse was awesome with us, and gave great recommendations. And was also very patient with us as we were a big group all getting to know each other and took a while.
Loved the greeting; service excellent; varied flavors were delicious. We had a great time!
Great place, nice food and very attentive service .
Quality and portions are not worth the price, 3 slice of mortadella + 3 slices of salami and bread $17
The portion of spaghetti was smaller than kids menu in most restaurants $19
We had a great time, enjoyed the food and great recommendation for wine. We WILL BE BACK.
The food and service were great. Only thing I would complain is the place was too cold that day and made me uncomfortable during the dinner. I left to somewhere else for a drink after the dinner as I didn’t want to stay.
The happy hour here is great - great prices and great selection!!
We went on a Saturday night when they had live jazz. It was fantastic! The music helped create a lovely atmosphere and was not too loud so that you were yelling at your table mates. The food was superb. I definitely would come here again.
Great Italian food and great service. This is real Italian food, if you’re looking for chicken parm and pepperoni pizza you’ve come to the wrong place.
Beautiful restaurant and like how the tables aren’t bunched too closed together. Will definitely be back.
WE had been there once before and took friends the second time. The food was fantastic, service great!
It was a great experience! The food there is superb!
Great food and wine, loveley experience as always!
Bad food - 2 apps and 3 entrees - all bad
Bar service was very slow. Lasagna came out warm - seemed as through the food was sitting for minutes before delivery. Wife meal was good. Need to add domestic wine varieties. Always tell a good restaurant when the place is energetic and all tables are occupied. The dining area must have had all booths open around 8:45pm with little traffic. Likely not returning. Have 3-star because the host and second bartender were friendly/helpful.
This place. It NEVER disappoints. The truffle dish was incredible!!! Everything is so good. Seriously so good.
Great restaurant. Service was impeccable. What I liked the best is that the tables are not right on top of each other like in most restaurants. You feel you can actually have a conversation without the worry of everyone around you listening in!
Menu is now solid compared to when Brunch on Sunday just started. My husband had the lasagne (which is ALWAYS a hit with us) and i had the beefsteak with spinach and mushrooms (instead of the potatoes) which was more delicious and balance than it may sound.
Birthday dinner. Underwhelming but well intentioned.
Evening was way too expensive for the little bit ordered.
Continues to serve the best gnocchi in the city and the selection of Italian wines is the most extensive I've ever seen. Year after year La Spiga continues to stand out, even in the midst of Seattle's current restaurant boom.
The service was great
Server was exceptional and knowledgeable.
Our favorite Italian restaurant in Seattle. It’s dressed up comfort food, built with layers of pasta and parmesan. Get the lasagna, so you know how it should taste.
Our waitress was very awkward, at first we couldn’t tell if she actually was our waitress. Then when ordering a drink she tried corrected one of us and was talking about a main course dish. The waitress was just off and seemed to not know what she was doing.
Food was amazing as always though but would ask for a different server next time.
Nice setting and yummy food, pity there aren’t more veggie options. That is the main thing that would prevent me from coming back. Price is a little high but not bad for a special night out. Also hate that the bathroom is downstairs and had a code.
The food was surprisingly bland- just no flavor and unremarkable. Good and friendly service, but not worth the price nor a return or referral since the food was so uninteresting.
Always wonderful! La Spiga delivers extraordinary experience and value.
Enjoyed a goodbye & good luck dinner with a dear friend who is moving to NY. We stumbled into Happy Hour Monday - Happy Hour menu all night. What a fun surprise! We shared almost everything on the menu (melt in my mouth gnocchi, divine pasta with truffle, crispy cauliflower, perfect olives, and more!) & toasted with Happy Hour bubbles. A great festive way to spend her celebratory meal!
This was our second visit. Both times the food was tasty and service extremely attentive. Great recommendations for food and wine pairings. Great pasta and tiramisu!
New Year’s Eve. We were a few minutes late and the staff was really great to accommodate us. The kitchen was backed up so the gave us bread on the house
It was my birthday as was noted in reservation and not a single mention. Didn’t like recommended wine but decided against sending it back. Food was good (one entree was barely warm and had to go back). Nice service. Great atmosphere and nice bar.
Great place to experience the magnificent simplicity of Italian Cousine..
The food was very good, but the server was snooty and off-putting.
We had a lovely holiday meal here. Tried the polenta lamb ragu appetizer with a pear and spinach salad, what a delicious way to start. Tried four first or second course dishes as well, and all were of exceptional quality. Will definitely be back soon!
