   It was our anniversary, we got a really bad table, the service was okay, the staff member in charge of our table was lovely but the overall experience was not worth the $250 we spent. Would not recommend.

   I’ve been to Oretta for both brunch and lunch. Portion sizes are great, everything is delicious, service is always fantastic, ambiance is amazing! It’s a new favourite in Toronto for sure. Only suggestion I’d make is making a brunch drink menu with coffees, brunch cocktails etc.

   My boyfriend and I went for the winterlicious experience and we got frustrated. For first course we chose Burrata and Radicchio salad, both options plain and lack of dressing. For main course, we chose Fish and Short Rib. The fish was super taste, but the short rib was too fatty. For the dessert, the tiramisu was good, but the pine seeds pie was tasteless, a complete disappointment. We don’t recommend Oretta for the Winterlicious. The service was great, we may go back to try the regular menu.

   Food was good but winterlicious portions were cut back from the regular platings. Cappuccino not well made and this leaves a bad impression of the final meal. Manager was unapologetic about the winterlicious experience and offered a free coffee once we had already wrapped up the bill. Will not recommend nor go back.

   Service was extremely slow, waited a long time for our appetizers and mains. Asked to get our food packed up but was taking too long and we had to leave before she even went to the back to pack it. Pasta was undercooked and serving size was extremely small for the price. Would not recommend.

   Victoria was very attentive to our party of 6. She made us feel comfortable and did not rush us for anything. She knows the menu by heart and made excellent recommendations! Thank you, Victoria for making our birthday celebration a great experience!

    we made it very clear that my girlfriend had a gluten allergy and asked what on the menu she was able to have and ordered as per their recommendation (the fish). when the main course came after an hour and a half she was given the short rib that had a gravy on top that contained gluten. we pointed out the issue and her meal was replaced in 5 minutes with the correct one we ordered however the fish was not cooked at all it just had a sear on it but was completely raw on the inside. we showed them this and they apologized and then replaced her fish with a filet that looked like it was cut in half in order to cook faster. 2 hours passed in the end before we were able to eat our entrees after which our appetite was completely gone, my food was cold and she received an entree that was cut in half.. at this point we just wanted to leave and the waiter made us wait 40 minutes for the bill where they expected us to pay 200$ for my cold meal and a bottle of wine which we drank because we had to wait 2 hours for the food. not an acceptable way to treat customers and we will never be going back … it’s a shame because we were here often and this was a one-off experience but there are many restaurants in toronto and we should not have to put up with this

    We attended for Winterliscious. A beautiful and lively restaurant. Our servers were super friendly, informative and attentive. The food was wonderful and attractively presented. We will definitely return.

    Overall, I was disappointed in what I had from the winterlicious menu. The branzino smelled too fishy and I found the portions were too small for what I paid. The interior design is really pretty but I wouldn’t recommend Oretta or go back in a hurry after my experience.

    Waited for our mains for over an hour. When they came out, it was cold. We had to keep asking different staff for where our mains were. We also had to wait 30-40 mins to ask for a Winterlicious menu. Our reservation was made for winterlicious. Loved our waiting, he was great, very personable. Just had problems with the back kitchen I guess.

    Made a reservation for my birthday well in advance. Had to wait a while for my table. We were a party of 6 only. Also, mentioned that it was for a birthday celebration on open table. Table was upstairs in a boring room. Really disappointed. Upstairs should only be for private functions. Was at Oretta in the past and had a good experience. I never do reviews on anything but had to share about this.

    The food here is some of the best if not the best in the city. We had the Moroccan octopus to start, and the pappardelle with (the most amazing) bolognese sauce. It was so delicious! Also, if you order cannoli for dessert, they hand fill them tableside AND if you have a pistachio allergy like me, they’ll make you one with just ricotta and chocolate shavings. Ugh it was so good. Would highly recommend.

    My friend and I have been to this place more than five times. For the first couple times, the food standard is really amazing and they will update their menu almost three months. However, their food quality dramatically dropped a lot that make me and my friend feel so bad. One of the pasta doesn’t have seasoning and waiting time is incredible long( not busy). I don’t know what happened to the kitchen, but it let me feel like they just finish it in a rush . Be honestly, the waiter have a great service attitude that makes me feel better after tasted their food. This gonna be my last time to visit this restaurant.

    Underwhelming food experience on the degustaszione fixed price menu. Pastas without any vegetables (veggie option) Branzino while cooked very well was not fresh and was fishy. Crispy skin was great however. Good tiramisu

    Had a reservation for a brunch with a friend on Saturday around 1:30pm. Food was good (ordered avocado toast - nicely done, fresh ingredients and Aperol Spritz - could have been stronger, but that is to my taste). Service is always outstanding there! I like this place for many reasons: it’s the best for pre-party gatherings but it’s too loud for the casual chat with friends in my opinion.

    Overall — fine. A server (not ours) dumped a full cocktail on my friend. Broken glass everywhere. It was an accident and our server was very apologetic. We expected them to comp the drinks for both of us, but only one was on the house. In the end, it was just funny but it did disrupt our experience. We had to move and wait for our booth to be cleaned and cleared of glass. We thought they’d offer more to make up for it. Food was tasty but not over the top amazing.

    Our waiter was not great to deaf people. She keep talking with voice and we can’t hear and we keep telling her to write down or type on iPhone and she keep talking with her lips, as ignore our request for write down paper or type on iPhone.

    Unfortunately my second visit was not on par with my first. The appetizers were fine but the pizzas both regular and gluten free were awful and we should have held them accountable. I believe the time has come to hold restaurants accountable for what they serve, too many people , like myself, are giving them a pass. Consistency is the most important aspect of dining out, it’s something that all restaurant owners are aware of but fall short on occasionally. It is up to the patrons to give them their honest opinion of their meal.

    Tables are a little small to hold big plates. A mock tail section in the menu would be nice to have as well. Overall still enjoyed my first time at Oretta. Would come visit again!

    We had a group of 9 - the service was really great. The food was unfortunately cold when it was served which I know can be hard for large groups but nonetheless we ordered and spent quite a lot and it was unfortunate that the food came out cold.

    The service is friendly and fairly quick…but the food was sub par and not many options for the brunch other than pizzas. The ambiance is very pretty and despite being very busy it doesn’t feel crowded.
