My daughter and I split the 24oz Porterhouse Steak special and had a nice Italian wine. It was the best steak either of had in years. Our server Beasley, was superb! Everything was great, including the ganache dessert. My only suggestion would be to have cloth napkins. When you are the best restaurant in town and pay $50 a plate, then a nice napkin is in order.

We didn't see the wine flight on the menu, but my husband knew about it from reading in advance. It was a nice flight, but they could promote it a bit more. My egg roll was a bit on the greasy side. However my oyster salad was extremely good. The place has a nice vibe and we had an enjoyable lunch and a nice walk around Mount Airy.

Our favorite restaurant in Mt Airy, great wine list and excellent food and service. We visit there often, lots of public parking close by and in a great historic location, building was built in 1980s.

Wonderful experience at Old North State! I ordered a soup/sandwich/salad plate and it was outstanding! Tomato bisque was flavorful and the ginger vinaigrette was delicious. I enjoyed a flight of 3 wines, all good. My server was very attentive, knowledgeable about the wines and friendly. Will definitely be back!

The place is beautiful. The food was ok for 2 of our party of 4. For one guest it was net edible (the duck). Our waitress seemed to be new. Don’t think I will go back. Second trip in. First trip was better.

Morgan was a delightful server. We enjoyed leaning about Fish Hippie wines and clothing since we’ve purchased them in SC as well. The tasty foods were scrumptious! Love that we could walk from the Heart & Soul B&B to your doorstep. Thank you for having g us.

Eating at ONS is one of the highlights of visiting Mt. Airy. The food is always tasty and the wine is excellent. The staff is always happy to great their patrons. We love this place. For us, this is an absolute must for each of our visits. We highly recommend that you come here for dinner. You won't be sorry.

The shrimp egg rolls, oysters on the half shell, duck entrée, and scallops entrée were all excellent. The mac & cheese in the scallops entrée desperately needed salt. We had a lovely waitress, however, there was some kind of glitch when she put in our entrée orders, and only one of them got entered. This caused a long delay while the other entrée was prepared. Given the time difference of when the two entrées were ready, mine was not hot.

Always a pleasure dining at ONS. We've been impressed with Chef Wishart for years now, and have enjoyed his progression as a top chef. The food and wine selections are sophisticated, and yet there are always a choices for those with a heartier appetite. Our favorite dining establishment!

Not impressed with this restaurant. Food was bland. My wife had to send back her plate because the fish was overcooked. Drink and dessert were the only two things we enjoyed.

Disappointed. Did not meet up to our expectations for price. Paper table cloths/ paper napkins. Was given a salad fork for dinner instead of a dinner fork. Dipping oil with no seasoning and bland . Had to ask for S & P, and then server removed S & P from table versus leaving it on the table for Appetizer and Dinner.

This was our first time here. Everyone was very polite and the food was delicious. The crab cakes were large with huge pieces of crab and if they had a filler, I didn’t see it. This was a really nice evening out. Free parking right next door. Melissa provided exceptional service. Wednesday is half price bottles of wine.

Went there this weekend for an anniversary date. This is where my fiancé and myself really began our relationship 11 years ago. It was great to reminisce. We told our waitress the 'occasion' and she was very sweet about it and even took pictures for us before we left. The wine was great and the food was too. The atmosphere is a bit more relaxed than years ago, but it was nice. We had a great time.

We stop here for lunch every time we are headed to VA/TN. We have always find a table but also find they prefer reservations. Ambience is pleasant and the food appealing. This time I enjoyed the crab cake with a tasty sauce, fingerling potatoes and tender young asparagus. My husband enjoyed bacon wrapped meatloaf and side salad. I wish they had a soup option to the tomato bisque. We appreciate the parking lot nearby and several convenient gift shops. All in all the combination makes for a pleasant stop on our several times a year trips
