Amazing experience. Felt like I was in the home of Rudy and Svetlana. Food was incredible and the hospitality was just as wonderful. Will definitely come back again and again. Thank you for a fantastic evening!
Service is great. Food is spectacular! Ambiance is sheik and intimate.
The food is excellent, they are deifiely not stingy with the truffles. The owner is very nice and welcoming.
The place is very small and the tables are too. They have these silver trays that make the tables even smaller. They decorated it all black which I think it’s a mistake for such a small place. The ceilings are high and the acoustics are terrible, too loud for such a small place. The lighting doesn’t help.
Oak should have been used in the decor of the place, my opinion of course!
Incredible!!! One of my new favorite restaurants. Special place.
The food was excellent. The owner was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. We had a memorable experience that I’d highly recommend.
Everything was superb! Great ambiance, spectacular food, amazing service! Loved every single thing we tried!
Lovely in every way. Delicious food, intimate setting and very friendly and attentive service.
Love the place. Excellent food that is well designed and crafted.
The dinner was fantastic! Presentation to proper execution. They did not skimp on the truffles. Definitely for truffle lovers. Excellent menu and service. The owners were there and cared very much about our experience and enjoyment of the meal. Two big thumbs up!
Great food, the setup was a little weird. The interior design also seems a little amateur considering you are paying $50+ a dish. Wine was also great. Very chatty host. Will prob not come back unless someone else is paying.
We have been to the Oak Truffle Lounge several times. Restaurant has a limited menu, but, we love it! Have to love truffles....
Went there for my birthday. The unique size and space provided an intimate setting for two. The service was great and I was impressed with his knowledge of truffles. The antipasti and main dishes were delicious. The owner’s disposition is warm and inviting making you feel as if you were having dinner in an old friend’s dining room.
Everything exceeded expectation. Food was sublime.
Will be on my to go to list when in NY. Cozy yet with the times and service like you are part of the owner’s family! And absolutely stunning food. What a discovery !!
Small, intimate setting. Ideal for dates. Food was fantastic. Owner was very friendly and interesting to talk to. Would certainly recommend.
Super attentive service in a quite and romantic setting. Well constructed menu with abundant amount of truffles in every dish. Solid wine list to pair every course. Truffled ice cream with fig really stood out and I’m not particularly a desert guy.
Food was amazing, owner made great recommendations!
Always on the hunt for pasta with truffle. Delicious!
The owner was very attentive and passionate about his food and business. So delicious I’m already planning my next time back!
Great experience. Rudy was very accommodating and service was outstanding. The food was perfect from start to finish.
Cozy . Food was amazing !! Especially beef tarter !
Wonderful food and experience. Amazing truffes and food. The dessert is simply the best ever! Worth the visit indeed.
The restaurant is very small, but intimate. It is like walking through a secluded walkway between buildings but the decor is very nice. The owner, Rudy was fantastic in explaining what the dishes entail, and made great recommendations of what to try. I was there for my birthday and it was a nice change of location, as I have never had an authentic truffle the way that this was prepared. But I am glad I tried this location, the food was delicious and not overpowering with truffle. The filet mignon was exquisite and the dessert was delicious! Definitely make a reservation if you are into truffles as this will leave you wanting more. The service was quite attentive and they like to make sure you are happy with your meal.
Great service, delicious food. Will be back
The food was excellent and it lived up to the billing. Service was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. The owner greeted us It almost felt like we were eating in a private restaurant with friends. The Highlights of the meal:
• Filet Tartare
• Tagliolino Cacio E Pepe
• Due Uova
Nobody said eating well would be cheap, and most certainly not there
Wonderful experience and the owner Rudy treated us like we were family and made our evening a night we will always remember.
This is going to be a long review so stick with me here! It's worth it!!
I reserved a table for myself and my best friend and we showed up about 10 minutes early. The beautiful blonde woman sat us right away as they literally only have a few tables.
The decor is quite simple, black painted brick walls, a large chandelier and a few photos on the walls.
A few minutes later a handsome gentleman came over to greet us and tell us about specials etc. Everything he spoke about sounded more impressive than the first.
We started off with the Burrata Al Miele. The black shaved truffles on top complimented the subtle burrata on top of arugula and a balsamic reduction perfectly.
I ordered for my entree, the Filet Mignon "Rossini". It has fois gras, baby spinach, roasted potatoes in a Barolo wine reduction. This I think, was the best dish. The filet was cooked beautifully, the reduction blended in with the woodsy earthy tone of the truffles. Amazing.
My best friend ordered the Tagliolino Classico. It is handmade pasta with a Oak signature parmigiano dop truffle sauce. He also paid a bit more to have white truffles shaved on top. To me this wasn't my favorite but still was amazing.
We also ordered a side of Piselli E Pancetta. Sweet peas with imported pancetta and black truffles. Again outstanding.
Fior di latte ice cream with figs, pine nuts and truffle honey. The honey truly brings the dish to fruition. Delicious and the figs!!
I didn't catch the name of the brownie dessert because it's a special but it was amazing as well.
TBH this is the best restaurant I have ever had in my life. Complex flavors by combining simple ingredients prepared with love. You can tell that in each and every dish.
I will be back again and again.
Amaaaazing. Super friendly owner. Best pasta in the city. MUST VISIT!
Great food and atmosphere!
The food was delicious. But get ready for an extremely rich creamy buttery meal. We each asked for a glass of Prosecco, not a bottle and they made the assumption that we were buying a bottle. That was inappropriate on their part. When they kept pouring it gave us no opportunity to switch to another wine, with courses. I thought maybe it was on the house. I will stop by and talk to management. It is a new restaurant. The black truffles were good. We did not order the white, which add an additional 60. to each course. Perhaps next time. There will definitely be a next time!! We both loved the decor.
What an amazing place...
What a meal! Wonderful service, amazing food, and a really cool little space. Every dish was phenomenal, but one of the desserts (I don't remember it's name, but it was a daily special) was THE best dessert I have ever had in my life. The truffles on every dish were amazing - it was a flawless dinner.
This was a great little spot for anyone that enjoys truffle and delicious bites. The owner was very generous, helpful, and attentive. It felt like you were walking into an old friends house for dinner. A small space, really good food, and a plethora of truffle. Don't skip dessert! The ice cream with fig, pine nut, and white truffle honey was PHENOMENAL.
It’s a cute little place - the place is heavy with the smell of truffles - which of course is what you would expect - the prices are high but the food is very good and the portions were generous - overall we enjoyed our dinner and had a good time here
Rudy and Andrea are wonderful hosts. Every bite is a dream
Wonderful slice of Italy with personal attention to detail.
I understand the concept, but the execution is flawed. The risotto was thick, salty and not flavorful. No amount of truffles would fix this. The classic pasta with white truffles was good, but a well-known competitor near Gramercy Park does much better. I would not return.
This was a fantastic and absolutely decadent experience!
Great concept. Great owners. Food delicious!!
