    The place was very clean and nice. When we walked in we were very nervous because it was our first time, but honestly everything was perfect. Our waiter Thai was very friendly and checked up on us frequently making sure everything was good. Food was amazing! Definitely would recommend.

    Oak Steakhouse went above and beyond to help celebrate my proposal. The staff was unbelievably nice and welcoming. They made our special night one we will never forget. Can’t wait to make more memories over the years at our new favorite Steakhouse!!

    Very expensive for what they provided for a Thanksgiving dinner. And the food was poor. Looked like it had been sitting around for several hours. Perhaps it was better earlier in the day. But, they should have told us that it was not up to standards and let us decide.

    Wonderful surprise and great find in Old Town. Will definitely go again. Food was excellent, our waitress Gisela was a delight and even the manager was friendly and enjoyable to speak with. Gave us a great history of the restaurant. Entrees are a bit pricey but well worth it. Excellent presentation and more then we could eat. Cocktails were delicious. Nothing negative to say about this restaurant.

    I believe that this is the best steakhouse in the DC area. The steaks are tremendous and they are always spot on with the temperature. The sides are also tremendous, with special shout outs to the Brussels sprouts, whipped potatoes, and Mac & cheese.

    The restaurant is very nice, one of the best atmospheres in Old Town Alexandria. They can't seem to get the steaks cooked to the right temperature though.

    If you pay $70+ for a steak, one would except a decent cut of meat, prepared to perfection. Unfortunately that was not the case. The wagyu beef from the burger was masked in a very thick, seemingly dry, bun. Also, I understand the need for chefs to elevate dishes with their own spin, but putting the whole anchovy on top of traditional Caesar salad was not a win for me. I had high expectations for this restaurant despite many of reviews that said otherwise, but I was not impressed at all.

    Oak is always a great experience. The fall menu is out and it’s phenomenal. Get the Italian and Burrata salads. For dinner, the filet is always a great choice. I usually get it rare+ Pittsburgh style. My wife got the scallops. Both meals were cooked to perfection. For sides, we got the carrots, mushrooms, and spinach. For dessert, we had the cheesecake, chocolate cake, and the cookies. Also, get the seasonal cocktails. I had 3 and they were all great.

    We were greeted by the host, who was welcoming and polite. Once seated, our server introduced herself and warmly welcomed us. As a first time patron at Oak Steakhouse, I loved the authentic menu that carried a fall theme for their cocktails. The food was outstandingly excellent as well as the service.

    Our waiter was amazing. The food was over priced for the quality. It was also very busy the night we were in and the noise level was way too loud. Making it hard to hear the waiter let alone ourselves.

    We had an excellent dining experience at Oak. Todd, the GM seated us and took time to talk about the restaurant. After our meal, he returned to check on us and seemed genuinely interested in our experience. Our server, Enrique, was a true professional. He knew the menu, and explained everything very well. His suggestions were spot-on and well received. The appetizers were delicious (fried burrata and ceviche). The steak was cooked perfectly, and Enrique’s suggestion to add the truffle butter made it amazing! Would definitely recommend this restaurant and will certainly be back.

    WOW! When you want an amazing, food focused, meal- this is THE PLACE! Easy street parking and a warm greeting from the host got the evening off to a great start. We had the tuna crudo, fried burrata, wagyu tartare and filet with carrots. The homemade ice cream was the perfect ending. We are already planning to bring the whole family back the next time we need a special meal.

    Loved our first experience to Oak Steakhouse. The ambiance and service was top notch. The food was amazing, just beware of the potstickers they can very spicy to some. We will definitely return!

    Food didn’t taste bad however the steaks were all the wrong temperatures. I’d definitely go back service was stellar. Even though the steaks didn’t come out perfect that was was one of my better experiences in a high end restaurant.

    Making and changing the reservation was easy, appreciated the nice touch of a card for our anniversary as we were seated, too. Got table of our choice, which was by ourselves next to the window, and that was nice. Manager came by, as did someone from the kitchen, to help with service and check on how we liked things. Our server was fantastic! She is from the Ukraine, really thought her presentation, descriptions of items on menu, etc. and not rushing us made the night very special. Overall, delicious steaks and sides. One item to note: bread with poppy seeds should be stated, as some people are tested for drugs and that is a fact in the DC metro area. Security clearances depend on that, so maybe bread service with or without those seeds would be helpful. Mushroom appetizer, fried, sat too long and was cold and untasty, however. We didn't make a fuss, but we would not order that again. Complimentary dessert of cheesecake with candles in it for our years of marriage was really sweet. Ice cream with it was super yummy, cheesecake was more plain and not our favorite. Loved the drinks, both before and after the meal, and the Carmenere wine was delicious. Great wine list. Overall, a bit pricey, even for Old Town Alexandria. Still, a very nice experience and meal.

    We like this place and brought our out-of-town guests with us and they loved it too! The food is always great, as is the service. It's a bit pricey, so definitely more of a "special occasion" place for us - but we've never been disappointed! Highly recommend!

    The food was amazing! The ceviche is some of the best we have ever had. Everything we ate was delicious and correct temperature. The restaurant was noisy and the lighting was very dark, otherwise we would say this was a 5/5. Very good local place to eat! We will be back!

    We went here for our anniversary. Lovely dinner with pleasant waitress. Food was good. The scallops were delicious and I got the he crab oscar as a side which was okay. Hubby got the NY strip which he enjoyed. Brussels sprouts amazing and so was the mac and cheese. Will definitely be back.
