New Year's Eve Special Menus & Offers
Happy Holidays! Novo Cafe - Westlake Village will be open for business as usual for New Year's Eve, December 31,2020
We ate outside on the patio, so I can't comment on noise level inside. I would have given it another overall star, but we were not happy that the restaurant was "mask optional". One of the waiters that helped us had a mask, but no one else that worked there did. If it wasn't a busy Saturday night we would have left and found another restaurant.
I overall loved Novo, with it being a busy Saturday night the waiter seemed a little stretched so drinks were not filled most of the time. Other then that is was wonderful! Definitely will go back :)
The women's bathroom was atrocious and not sanitary at all. There was trash on the ground of each stall, toilet paper was not replenished, toilets were dirty, hand soap was not replenished.
The price for the ravioli dish and appetizers were not fair to the amount of food was served. Way too overpriced for how little was given.
Employees did not wear masks inside restaurant where it is required for LA county for restaurant employees to wear masks. Also found a news article that this exact restaurant has over 60 citations for defying health orders and have about $90K worth of fines from the LA County Public Health Department. The Health Department also revoked Novo Cafe's public health permit on February 2, 2021.
I do no recommend this restaurant at all.
Amazing delicious food!!! Can’t wait to go back!!!
Had dinner with my wife and it was just great. The food is superb and the service was excellent. We go there frequently and always enjoy the food, service and the friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend this place for Brunch and Dinner. Gets 5 stars from us. Thanks Novo Cafe 👍🙏🏼
Great spot for dinner after the high school football game. Good food and even better service.
Great first time experience at Novo. Was surprised at the quality of the food and restaurant. I had the chicken parmigiana which was very good and the special salad was good- but the super draw here is an amazing bakery with out of the world desserts and great coffee to finish off your meal. Menu is somewhat small but the food was good and the service even better,
Love this place. They make all their pasta from scratch and it is yummy yummy
first timers for all 5 of us. Enjoyed the restaurant and enjoyed the food...very fresh tasting!!!!
Not wearing mask, even though required. And aggressively promoting extreme politics. Not an establishment I would go to again. DO NOT SAFE HERE.
Staff did not wear face masks. Restaurant did not require patrons to wear masks in establishment to and from their table.
We had a wonderful dinner and a lovely outdoor patio. The food was great and a great price. I would definitely go back.
I was very disappointed to see this restaurant not comply with the mask mandate. All wait staff did not wear masks. This created a very uncomfortable dining experience. The food was fine. We had 3 different waiters at our table and not one told us the daily specials. We do have other options and will dine elsewhere until after the mask mandate.
It was great
It was a nice venue.
The Tuscan salad is the best beet salad anywhere and the Puttanesca sauce is the best I’ve had period…. I get both every time I visit.
FABULOUS. Everything was wonderful - the food, the decor, the service, everything!
Great food and wonderful service, love this place and so will you!
We enjoyed a delicious lunch on the patio. The servers were friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. We will definitely return.
Always good food here. Nice ambiance. They were a little busy so waited a bit longer for the table but other than that excellent!
Highly recommend -
Great food and attentive staff.
The nearby fountain brings some delightful entertainment for kiddos as well.
This was our first time at Novo and we will definitely be back. The food was wonderful and the service top notch! My husband had the Osso Busco and loved it. So tender and the sauce was the perfect balance of flavor. I ordered the fresh, homemade fettuccine and meat sauce. The pasta was so soft and fresh-tasting; almost as if they made it to order. Our waiter (I'm so sorry I don't remember his name :() was EXCELLENT! He was kind, helpful and very attentive. All around it was a very positive experience and we will be back!
This was our first visit to Novo Cafe, but it will not be our last. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted and seated at a nicely positioned patio table. Several of the serving staff attended to us immediately without being intrusive. The menu is impressive and though it was difficult to make a firm choice on any of the offerings we were very pleased with what we selected. The food was attractively presented and absolutely delicious (I recommend the Drunken Pasta). It was great to discover a new place for us to enjoy a dinner out and we look forward to a return visit.
We love coming here. The service, drinks, appetizers, dinner and dessert are always amazing.
This place is one of the top restaurants we go to every Friday.
Wonderful service and great food
Great food and making a reservation was the way to go on fathers day!
We went for Father’s Day. Food was amazing and service was exceptional.
There was a party of 14 that was arriving sporadically, and the hostess spent about 15 minutes trying to figure out where to put them what to do with them etc. Being that it was Father’s Day and there was a long line behind them, somebody should have been working the hostess stand with her. I have eaten here several times and that seems to be an issue every time. You stand there waiting for a hostess to come. The hostess was very nice and friendly And I don’t fault her for the disorganized Situation. The waiter was also very friendly and knowledgeable. Aside from that, we ordered that, we ordered the bruschetta appetizer and ended up getting the bruschetta special. We just decided to take the prosciutto off of it and just eat it without complaining. Obviously, this was a higher priced item. My daughters food was excellent and my food was good. My husband got the chili and Seabass which he felt was very dry and did not eat it. We did not send it back either. We also ordered the lava cakes which did not taste fresh. Unfortunately, this was an expensive dinner And the quality did not match the price.
Our party of 7 had a great table outside on their back patio. We arrived in-between the lunch and dinner rush so the patio was relatively empty. Drinks were good and delivered quickly but we waited for over an hour for the food to come. Two dishes came out luke warm but all the food was tasty and delicious. Even tho the server could have checked on us more and we had to go inside the restaurant and track him down, he and the staff were professional and polite. We were surprised to see a 20% gratuity automatically added to our bill. We’ve gone to this restaurant before and everything was excellent. This time wasn’t their best showing. Would I go back? Yes!
Second time at Novo Cafe - the food was as good as it was on our first visit. Unfortunately, the service was not up to par. Regardless, we’ll definitely return.
Had the Gnocchi Gorgonzola that was so delicious! Added shrimp and the taste was just yummy. It took the stag a little bit to get to us but once they did service was very good
Very friendly staff, excellent cocktails, and delicious food.
Came for our daughters graduation celebration! The food was amazing and the service was perfect. They were able to get a party of 10 in at the last minute. Didn’t have to wait long. Everyone was so friendly!
I picked this place to celebrate my daughter’s graduation. Upon arriving we were asked to wait because they they were very busy and had to figure out the table situation. That was fine, although we did have a reservation. They sat us fairly quickly after that, but we noticed coming in that none of the staff were wearing masks. The owner, I presume, kind of scoffed when I asked if WE needed to wear masks and shook his head and said sarcastically “we charge more if you wear a mask.” Mmmmkay….
Once we were seated, our waitress arrived to take our drink order. The cocktail menu had no prices listed (should’ve been a clue right there). Anyhow, it took a while for those to be delivered and they were small and disappointing with hardly detectable liquor for the price- Which was $19 each!
We ordered some salads to share. Again, nothing to rave about. But the biggest disappointment was the food! My husband ordered the short ribs with roasted potatoes. Wish I would’ve taken a photo! Worst plating ever. It came out looking like chunky canned roast beef with almost a gritty gravy texture and his potatoes were way over done! Almost burnt. I’ve seen and had bigger and better looking short ribs for half the price they charge here. Everyone else at the table talked to each other and thought the food was mediocre AT BEST.
Then for dessert our kids went in to look at the case inside per the recommendation of the waitress who escorted them in. They told her their order inside and a different waitress brought a dessert tray out for us to look at. She left before getting everyone’s order, and when she came to bring the panna cotta my sister in law ordered she said “we threw them out because a few people said they did not taste good tonight.” So she comped us a cannoli and then we had to place our order since we didn’t get asked and remind her of my daughter’s order that never arrived and after all that my other daughter’s order never showed up.
This place was not worth the money
Food good not great. Pizza not crispy enough.
This is one of our favorite Italian restaurants we really enjoy the food, service and ambiance. But not so much this time. We were seated 1 1/2 after our reservations and the restaurant was out of what we wanted. Several guest who showed up after us were seated before us, only because we chose to wait at the bar instead of standing in front of the hostess.
We really love this restaurant and I hope this will not happen again.
Had a 7:30 reservation. Waited 45 minutes then we were led to a small, noisy table not even cleared. We left.
Had a reservation but still had to wait more than 20min. Food was good. Service was excellent. Very loud so it was hard to have conversations.
