Food was outstanding as always. Service could have used some help. Water glasses were never full and wine glasses were constantly empty. Horribly long wait for food.
I had a dirty water glass, I then had a Coffee cup that had a stained rim from the previous user, I had a spoon with dried chocolate on the bottom of it, I asked for a coffee with milk they bought the coffee and took 15 minutes to bring the milk by which time the coffee was cold. To make matters worse when me and my friend gave them out cards to split the bill for brunch, they charge the full amount to my card and the full amount to her card, essentially charging us for everything we had times two. When I pointed out the error they corrected it, but my bank has yet to recognise the correction. Not a good experience and detracted from the food that would have otherwise been enjoyable.
Excellent service in s gorgeous setting. Everything was delicious!
Service was bad and food was very disappointing. The location is difficult to get to during certain march/protest/parade. I would never go back to this restaurant.
Our meals were absolutely delicious! Martinis perfect!
The food was really good. but, I couldn't enjoy it.
Because of leftover from red wine. Despite not old vintage wine... Certainly poor service!!
It was not a very good experience since the food was not what I have expected.
Price fix menu can’t be beat. Service was excellent. Can’t wait to go back with friends.
I went for my Bday. Really nice experience
As always we always have a nice time when we go , that’s why we keep coming back, The food is always amazing.
Unfortunately, Nougatine was not the restaurant we were hoping to celebrate our anniversary at. The ambiance staff were generally fine, but food was beyond disappointing.
Appetizers were oddly flavored, my trout over sticky rice would have been edible if it was not for the extremely overpowering onion taste they failed to mention on the menu. The foie gras was average, at best.
Next we’re the entrees. I had the tenderloin, which I had to return. The meat was smothered in what tasted like... BBQ sauce?? The Brussel sprouts were inedible because of their salt content. The dish was unpleasantly overwhelming. When telling our server this, he was kind and took the plate away but did not offer to replace my meal with anything, so I sat dinnerless on my anniversary. He said the manager would be over, and while the manager lingered around our table for some time, he never came over.
My boyfriend had the veal, which while edible, completely fell apart at every stroke by his knife. The overly heavy breading went one way, while the dry veal went another. The serving size was decent, two large pieces of heavily breaded veal, but barely any sides and the bit of greens on the plate was yet again heavily over seasoned.
To top it off, no one apologized to us for the less than ideal special occasion meal, knowing it was an anniversary dinner. They didn’t comp any portion of the meal, and they didn’t offer us even a drink on the house. I’m disappointed by not only the food, but the service. I hope that there will be a second opportunity for me to try the restaurant, because this has been by far my worst experience at a JG restaurant.
Great food, great atmosphere. Thought deserts could be more refined.
The bartenders and vibe are professional and fun. The food is also amazing.
Food was delicious as always. Lovef
Nice price, excellent lunch prix fixe
Always delicious. I prefer dinning in the front room in the window area. Everything was perfect.
Not as good as usual. Food seemed less than special.
The waiter was charming. However service was very slow. Our side dishes did not appear until we had finished our food. The waiter was apologetic but there was no real apology in terms of offering a free dessert or don’t charge for the fries and Brussels sprouts. He offered to take them back. We said take one of each back. Those we didn’t pay for but we still paid for the two he left us with. Needless to say there was little interest in eating them.
But it was an enjoyable evening nonetheless.
Excellent food and for lunch affordable!
Would also recommend for knowledge of and selection of gluten free items.
We had a 1pm reservation and specifically requested on our reservation not to be seated by the kitchen but to be seated by the front window area. We ended up waiting 20 minutes and got a table in sort of the middle of the restaurant, not great not terrible. Order omelette specifically requesting no cheese but it came with cheese and then took 25 minutes to bring a new one. In the interim we didn’t get any of the dishes we ordered to share until way after the eggs even after we complained . Food finally came and was certainly delish.
As always,I am very pleased with the food and service
We selected Nougatine for a breakfast with a friend whom we only see once every couple of years, so it had to be special. We had dined at Jean-Georges, the big sister 3-Michelin star restaurant before and were well impressed, to the more casual Nougatine seemed like a good choice, and it absolutely was.
Nougatine has fabulous food and terrific service. Every dish that the five of us ordered was outstanding. We would highly recommend this restaurant for a special meal.
I love Nougatine and we have been here several times. This was the first time I have been disappointed. First, the menu didn't have the range of options we enjoyed in the past. Somehow the level and variety of dishes left us feeling like there were few attractive items. When the main dishes came to the table I wondered if maybe the regular cooking staff was on vacation after the holidays? The tuna tartare starter was delicious as ever, but the mains were not nearly as good as we have come to expect. My pork chop wrapped in prosciutto was tough and the flavor was unremarkable. A companion's roast chicken was also nothing special. Nothing was bad enough to send back, it was just meh. The passion fruit pavlova was very good, but I left hoping this lackluster experience was a blip and not a long-term shift.
Nice surprise! For a casual version of Jean-Georges, Nougatine has provided an excellent food and service quality. Everything we’ve ordered was extremely tasty and of large portions! I will most definitely be back!
Excelente cocina, concurrido y gran ambiente. Muy buen servicio y genial ubicación. Precio alto!
Always enjoy the lunch. A little overpriced.
The food was absolutely amazing and the ambiance was great. Staff when entering however can be a little more receptive and warm. Would definitely go again.
Deliciosa la comida , el servicio muy bueno , bonita decoración , definitivamente vale la pena!
Have been to Nougatine over 50 times and it never disappoints. For The best Comfort food choose the Burger/Fries or Chicken.
The Chef (s) are sleeping at the wheel. Food was tasteless, overcooked and drowning in sauce. Party of 2 were both in agreement with their respective meals, both appetizers and main courses.
I had the Chenin Blanc to start, it tasted corked. The bartender was nice enough to test a second bottle, it was as bad as the first. For my second glass I switched to the Loire Valley White. It tasted bitter. Of all the gorgeous wines out there, why choose these?
I don't write reviews and I don't write these words easily. I was really annoyed. It's not the first time that I have been disappointed in Nougatine but this was really bad. There are a lot of great Chefs out there. Over the years I have drifted from all the JG restaurants for the same reason.
I am not looking for a free meal or a complimentary glass of champagne. Please just pay attention.
Service has greatly improved since last visit. The tuna appetizer is to die for. The ginger marinade is spectacular. The trout sashimi melts in your mouth. The food is outstanding. The room is lovely. Cocktails were tasty, Overall fantastic experience.
Food was tasty, Avacado toast was a little small for the price $18 but tasted good. The waffle was very tasty although it came out slightly cold. The service was very good and the atmosphere was great for breakfast.
Decent sea bass
Waiter was slow and not especially nice. Said something to the Maitre’d after and he said he was aware yet did nothing. Thee waiter under bus.
Said I should ask and he would serve me personally next time. Maybe you should have chipped in when needed instead of being a weasel
Service tough and not helpful. No real help on the meal and waiter was stressing us to leave.
Tenderloin was fantastic! Service was just as great.
I love the food, excellent!
