Nougatine at Jean Georges
Delicious with great service. Very good gluten free choices.
Wonderful waiter, very good food. Lovely experience overall for a mother/daughter lunch.
We loved it! 2nd only to Le Bernadin. vraen elkvcn
Amazing - minus the fact that I had to walk through the Trump Hotel to get inside.
Amazing service, food was outstanding (highly recommend the tazmanian trout appetizer) and the wine selections are endless!
Our dining experience was wonderful.
The food was a delicate blend of flavors, prepared to perfection. All of the staff was attentive and well informed about the menu.
All three of us savored each and every bite.
Polished upscale atmosphere and service. The food is the ultimate star with wonderful ingredients prepared exquisitely. The only downside is portion sizes for the tuna tartare and the sole have become way too small yet the prices have increased.
The food is delicious, flavorful and beautifully presented. I had the scallops and my friend
ordered the striped bass. Both dishes were wonderful. The chocolate caramel tart
was fantastic. Our waiter was knowledgeable and friendly and gave us some
We celebrated our 50th Anniversary with lunch at Nougatine. We remembered the great experience we had ten years ago and wanted a repeated. Service was wonderful. We could hear each other which is unusual in many NYC restaurants. Light and air. Didn't feel rushed. Service was outstanding and food was very good.
Excelente comida, lugar y ambiente a un buen precio
This is top notch in every aspect. The service was exemplary. Everything we were served was excellent. We recommend the chicken and pavlova in particular. We also enjoyed crispy lobster and the steak. We will be back!!
Celebrated my sisters birthday with their lunch prefixe course. Everything was delicious, especially the tuna tartar appetizer. Jean George was in the kitchen that day, so we even got to get a picture with him.
we always enjoy coming to the restaurant. this is the first time when the main course and especially the desert took longer that it should have. this was not the server's issue but the kitchen.
Foods are too sweet(chocolate cake:dessert),and too salty
We dine @ nougatine & jean-georges all the time. I HOWEVER - this time our waitress was one of the rudest person I've ever met. She ruined our experience. I was humiliated in front of our friends. I'm very disappointed. I don't know if I ever want to go back.
our meals were absolutely excellent. When I made the reservations I did not realize the restaurant was in the Trump complex. We were in New York for the JA Jewelry show and your restaurant made our trip a real treat!
Maybe I just had such high expectations because it's a restaurant by Jean Georges. But the restaurant has to change the receptionist. Not a good first impression. The waiters, waitresses, receptionist move around too much- unnecessary, especially you're not around to do your job. Please stop hanging out in the middle of the restaurant. I'm sure it's not your time to chat and lounge- I found it uncomfortable to see the receptionists, waiters, waitresses whispering, giggling, chatting, sharing personal stories where their customers can hear them. This is my first time leaving a review for a restaurant. Like I said, maybe my expectations were too high. With that being said, apps and scallop were good, but don't expect too much of good service there. They're usually too busy talking to each other when you want their attention.
Very trendy restaurant. Imaginative menu. The scallops were amazingly good. I was very disappointed with my pasta dish. Beautiful presentation but very bland. Overall good but not great experience.
This is a fantastic experience. More informal setting but pampered just as if you were in the main restaurant. Exquisitely presented and delicious food. Make sure you don't skip dessert!
Lovely view with floor to ceiling windows. Modern decor. Food was excellent albeit not very creative - fish perfectly cooked. Service was fine.
Love the ambience food and service
Always delicious and a great value. Would like to see more items added to prix fixe. The same ones keep coming up all the time. A great place for lunch.
Wait staff was polite , too many if them but not efficient , they kept giving wrong dishes (which is a no no), after dinner service had to request few times to clear the table.
Food as usual was perfect though..
Very nice restaurant. Have been before theater, after theater and brunch. Always enjoy it.
Nougatine is so beautiful -- the windows overlooking central park are amazing! The food is good, but we had a few things that were strangely oily (the sides). The tuna tartare was just okay. But the scallops and the were delicious, and the chicken were both delicious!
I’ve never had a bad meal here. Everything was absolutely outstanding.
i love the restaurant and it is a consistent choice for before or after the ballet. The only complaint in this particular meal was that the tuna tartare was uncharacteristically smothered in the ginger sauce. It was difficult to taste anything other than the sauce.
Otherwise all delicious.
As always, Nougatine provides an amazing experience. The food and ambience can't be beat!
We went early for a pre-theater dinner. Food and service were great. Fairly large portion sizes. The crab cake and warm shrimp salad were delicious. They ran out of the lobster burger (a little surprised) so we had the cheeseburger and the sea bass which were both excellent. We finished things off with the creme brule and warm chocolate cake which were perfect. Overall a great meal.
The service and staff were excellent, however, we were disappointed at the quality of our meals. The veal was very tough, and the flavor of the sauce was a bit too acidic. The crab cake was OK, but the flavor was lacking. The desserts, however, were absolutely delightful.
Never fails to please.
One of the rare places where you can actually understand what your friends on the same table are saying! Along with good food and attentive service.
The restaurant, which is the less expensive sister to Jean George, is less formal, and ...less. With an $80 bottle of wine, which was among the least expensive, we spent $325, including tax and tip. Don't expect to get away for much less if you're having a full dinner. The artichoke was good, contrary to some reviews. The squash soup was creamy but had a slight pasty taste and feel. The mushrooms were a nice addition, but didn't really add much. My wife had the lobster, which was out of the shell, and the pieces had a crunchy coating, but was slightly dry and overcooked. The claw had the tendon removed, which was a nice touch. I had the veal milanese. It was a nice portion, the veal had a puffy fried coating, which was unusual, but didn't really add much. The veal was very tender, but a bit bland, and because it was on the thin side, it had less chew than some versions. The dessert we had was chocolate in a small shell with nuts. Nice, but nothing to write home about. Service was excellent. I guess for NYC, that's what it good, but not great, meal costs.
Wonderful tastes. Creative and elegant cuisine. Generous portions. Impeccable service. Beautiful space. Superb dining experience all around. Thank you Nougatine for being consistently fantastic.
Birthday. No candles or recognition. Staff polite until we stayed too long. One coffee had to be sent back.
Food was great ... service, not so much. While we were early, the was it was handled could be been better.
The experience at Nougatine has always been outstanding in previous visits and one my favorite places in NYC. Surprised to see the indifference this time whether it was while seating us late though we had a reservation or no one offering the food menu till we asked for. And the receptionist was outright elitist and rude.
I would definitely recommend Nougatine for a special occasion as the prices are still high. We had a table in the front looking out at Central Park which was perfect but most of the tables do not have that view. Sitting outdoors in the spring/summer would be very special.
