We had excellent food at this restaurant. Service was a little disorganised. On member of staff seemed to need more training. The only negative for the food was the chips that came with my wife's mussels, which were heavily covered in sea salt. Good chefs should not do this. You can always add salt, but you cannot remove it easily. Background music was intrusive for part of the evening. Enjoyed the evening here and it is a good location on the waterfront.

Regrettably, despite booking several weeks before via OPEN TABLE and receiving Confirmation of the date & time. When we arrived , there was no record of our booking and it was a complete mystery to the staff - the staff did their best to fit us in and we're grateful, but it clearly stretched them a bit and as a result service was not as good as it has been in the past . Many years ago , No.4 was called PERRYS and the menu , the wine and the service was impeccable - we'd often eat upstairs in those days, overlooking the harbour - back then we'd visit regularly and every time was a special occasion because the food was such incredibly high quality standard.

excellent food and service, good choice of drinks. problem with card machine but compensated with complimentary drinks offered.staff very helpful and friendly. well positioned at harbour side.

What a find! We thoroughly enjoyed our evening. The service was exceptional as was the food. We will be back next time we are in Weymouth!

Staff were only kids with their boyfriend in the back.. Soup compared to next table was half size so obviously ran out.. No one could get the cheque .. We all had to constantly chase and ended up paying at the till..

I read a lot of bad reviews of this restaurant in Tripadvisor but I decided to make a reservation anyway as people tend to complaint more than they should but this was a complete disaster. Everything I read was 100% true: - Food: The mussels were absolutely ridiculous, they tried us to change to something else on the menu (not for free) because they thought the mussels weren't in perfect conditions. We ate them in the end but they size was absolutely ridiculous. I got the Sea Bass, they changed again my plate as they don't have mash potato so they put something else with potato and onion. When they brought the plate, there was a lot of potato but definitely no Sea Bass, just a few slices of fish. From this restaurant i expect to put the whole fish or at least this is what we usually do in Spain. My girlfriend had the fish stew with completely uncooked vegetables, also very good point for a place of such pretended quality. - Service: It was ok, nothing good or bad to highlight. I wouldn't recommend to have a full staff of children but this their decision depending on the impression they want to give. The wine was good and we had a cheese table as a dessert which was also good, I don't think there's any way to do anything wrong here. To be absolutely fair, they gave us the cheese table for free for all the inconvenience but that didn't make me forget the horrendous experience. I would only recommend this place to my worst enemies, if anyone thinks this place is good is because they've never eaten anything good in their life. Enjoy!

This was our second visit to this superb restaurant. The ambiance is superb, and coupled with its beautiful location and views of the harbour it makes for a perfect place to enjoy wonderful food. Anyone who adores seafood, No4 does not disappoint, a wide range of superb dishes coupled with an excellent wine cellar ensures a totally fulfilling experience. The staff were all attentive and knowledgable, especially the first class young Polish lady who served us on all three of our recent visits, her experience and exemplary manner made us want to return again and again. Thank you No4 for a first class eating adventure, we loved every minute and will see you again and again. Barry Squance

first time at No 4 very impressed with the ambience but maybe could do with a better varied starter menu not everybody likes sea food, overall very nice place
