Excellent food and service - quite speedy which is nice. Just a heads up that the outside seating often includes sirens bc fire station :-) Inside ambiance is clean and modern.
Amazing food and really sweet waitress!
I love the Austin “foodie” scene but there are times I just want some authentic sushi (eg no fusion). This place hits the mark. Will certainly be back.
PERFECT! This is me and my best friends absolute favorite sushi place! Love it!
Loved our time there! Great experience.
Celebrating the end of a week with my sushi loving teen. Delicious. Wish we had a bigger party so we could try more items on the menu. Everything was delicious! Yum!
The food is delicious. The service was poor but it was mainly our waitress. The rest of the staff was super nice, helpful, and energetic. The music is too loud and not in line with the restaurant, which makes it very odd and challenging to talk with and enjoy company
Absolutely incredible, everytime. Great service, great food, great ambiance. I love everything about this place.
The fish was very fresh. They have real Wasabi which is a strong indication of Japanese anesthetic. The finely diced fresh ginger (instead of pickled pink stuff) was a great addition, but serving size was small. They had some innovative and unusual dishes. My two complaints are that while the sashimi slices were only a bit smaller than standard, the fish on the sushi were 1/2 to 2/3 typical. Should be called mini-nigiri. 😄 My second order of aji-bones came out cold, but that's a waiter problem, not a restaurant problem.
Our server Elliot check on us like twice… was kind of rude?! Considering how expensive the food was, we were expecting to be treated with more respect so that was disappointing but the sushi was good
Great service and food!
Just went for my birthday! A little difficult to find the front door, but I called and the hostess helped right away. Food was delicious and our server had great recommendations.
Sushi was very good quality fish. I was not happy because I booked for a table and not counter seating. Before being seated, I was told that it was not available when I asked. I thought this is unacceptable especially when you make a reservation. Our water was not refilled. Service was kind but could have been more attentive to bring us another bottle of water.
Outstanding food, service, and ambiance every time. The food is expensive but you pay for the quality of fresh fish. One of my favorite nigiri go to’s in Austin.
The space is so gorgeous! All the food is well thought out and every bite was incredible. The drinks were great. Absolutely will be back. Wonderful staff - they took such great care of us and made amazing recommendations!
Our server was super friendly and helpful. The food was both unique and delicious. After our first visit, I'd be willing to try anything on the menu, because I'm sure they do it great. It wasn't a cheap night out, but it is one I'd happily pay for again.
Ordered Calamari and Shrimp Tempura. Shrimp was ok, but squid was definitely not fresh. It has smell and after taste.
Super high quality fish. Great tempura. Fantastic design and atmosphere. Neighborhood is the Sushi restaurant for you…
AMAZING! Both food & staff! Will go back over & over again!
Our reservation was at 6:45 but we weren’t seated until 7:15. The hostess then told us that we only have two hours but that we needed to leave by 9. I tried explaining that it’s not our fault that we were seated so late and that from 7:15 to 9 doesn’t equal 2 hours. She just ignored me and repeated that we have to leave by 9. After that no one acknowledged us for another 15 minutes. No one apologized for how late we were seated. Service was also extremely slow so leaving by 9 was impossible.
Neighborhood is simply awesome. Staff is very down to earth and you can't beat the sushi. Will keep coming back here always!
The food was excellent as always. Service was good. However, when I arrived, my seat wasn’t cleaned, it looked as though food had been dropped on it and it wasn’t wiped. The floor at the counter seats also had food crumbs below the chair. Perhaps left over from lunch service since I was there for happy hour. I pointed it out the chair and it was sprayed and wiped down promptly. But I’d prefer to arrive to a clean seat, table, and floor.
Happy hour food pricing, 25% off makes it a great deal. High quality fish with service to match.
I have actually been here twice in one week because it’s so amazing. The wagyu roll is to die for, and the tempera veggies and shrimp are PERFECTLY fried. I would’ve came a third time this week if my schedule permitted. Love love love!!!
Overall, this was a great date night spot. My favorite part about it would have to be the drinks. The food came out promptly and our server was extremely good. The sushi was good, but in comparison to some other spots in Austin is wasn’t my personal favorite. Overall, I will come back and do recommend!
We had a wonderful lunch at Neighborhood Sushi. It’s hard to find the entrance but it’s worth looking for. The place is very nicely decorated and clean and all food that we ordered was very good. They probably had the best tempura that we’ve had, it was very light and not oily at all. The sushi was very fresh and of high quality, as good as the other top sushi restaurants in Austin, but for a much better value here in my opinion. Service was great. We will definitely be back.
Loved the lighting, the food was insanely good. Best miso soup I have ever had. Service was remarkable. Perfect date.
The food was not good!
Very fresh . We’ll be back for sure
The fish was some of the freshest we had in the city - the sashimi was top notch and we are excited to come back to try the omakase for a special occasion!
Always amazing. We go for celebrations and treat ourselves. This time we did the omakase. I wish there was more sushi in the courses but overall outstanding. Service is awesome wonderful.
Service was a little aloof but pleasant enough. Loved the wide variety of options - some traditional, some with an interesting twist, like pickled plum. We ordered a lot and loved everything. The tempura in particularly was really good and remarkably light. Will most definitely go back.
Atmosphere, quality of service, quality of food were excellent - definitely one of the best sushi restaurants in Austin
Was a really good culinary experience . Fish could not have been fresher unless you eat it on the boat . Would recommend !
Excellent food, perhaps a trifle on the expensive side, but worth it. Very good service and a quiet and attractive restaurant. We had a great time.
Food was excellent, even with happy hour price was a little over the top for the few dishes we ordered.
Amazing experience! Happy hour is subpar
Great spot. Good
What a hidden gem! I have walked by this place so many times and just noticed the symbols written on the front of the building, but did not know what is was. I had heard such great things about Neighborhood and after finally giving them a try, I now know why the reviews are so great!
Although you see the symbols on the front, you actually enter the restaurant from the parking lot which is directly located in the back. We immediately loved the cool, modern vibe and knew we were in for a good time as every table was taken.
For a group of 6, we ordered grilled edamame, miso soup, egg drop soup, shishito peppers, various nigiri, torched wagyu short rib roll, spicy tuna roll, tempura shrimp and fatty tuna rolls, the special of crab croquettes and the tempura shrimp hand roll topped off with a magnum of sake...everything was delicious and surprisingly reasonably priced!
