   We had very high hopes for our reservation at Nashville Underground. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a major waste of time and money on our first evening in Nashville. Our waitress was not to blame. She was new, very friendly, and had ENTIRELY too many tables to take care of. Our entire group has extensive experience as servers and bartenders... We noticed a number of issues: #1 - Under no circumstances should a table of 5 people wait over 35 minutes for their drink order to arrive. We had already waited at least 20 minutes before even being greeted. #2 - We genuinely believe that Nashville underground is "cutting" their alcohol with water. Again, we are all bar tenders. We watched the NU bartender HEAVILY pour the titos for a titos and soda... When I tell you that there was not vodka in that cup, I cannot stress this enough. There had to be at least 3 oz of a pour (based on watching her actually pour) and there wasnt even a hint of vodka taste. That makes no sense. #3 - once the food finally arrived, we had already been in the restaurant for over an hour and a half. We actually ended up sending food back. You could tell it had been sitting under the heat lamps long enough to harden. What a shame.... The manager knew things were not going well, and he appropriately comped mozz sticks and beverages. It is unfortunate that this was the experience, however.. these things happen in a high volume atmosphere. Number one piece of advice.... Please stop giving your servers so many tables. NO server should have more than 3 to 4 parties at one time, in order to maintain table turnover, as well as fully satisfied guests. Not only does it impact their tips, it makes your customer feel as if they are overlooked and forgotten about. We had 2 different parties ask us about our experience before we left that building. They were trying to decide which establishment to dine/drink at for the evening. We told them our honest opinion, and they ended up leaving.

   Food was very good. Chicken tenders, pizza, appetizers, drinks. Everything was very good and worth the money. The music was not live and was way way way too loud for the 30 people in the restaurant. It is downtown Broadway so you expect a bar type bof vibe that is definitely what it has. Server was not really interested in us. We wanted to eat good food on Mother’s Day without a three hour wait while showing some friends around downtown so it worked for us. Our kids enjoy the games throughout each level.

   This was a Mother’s Day meal with my wife, sister-in-law and mother in law along with 4 kids. This wasn’t our first choice of restaurants since not many could seat a party of 9 on Mother’s Day. The area where we sat turns into a nightclub in the evening so it wasn’t the most relaxing venue. The house was bumping and rather loud for a Sunday afternoon but then again, we’re in downtown Music City. There we a few “WooHoo!” Girl sitings (bachelorette parties). Overall it was a decent experience. Kids enjoyed the downstairs games, the food was good, not great, ribs were dry.

   Excellent food and service. We were not able to enjoy the rooftop because they didn’t allow my 13 year old on that floor because it was used as a nightclub in the later hours. We were there for brunch at 11 am so this requirement is kind of senseless. If this is the law it needs to change. Overall, great restaurant and we will be back.

   The underground is under new management… we having been going every year for the past few, but it has really changed. No more couches, no more bottomless mimosas… they now have an emphasis on games… no one wants games in Nashville. If i wanted dave and busters i would go there. Our waitress said the new management has geared the bar is this direction. I disagree. Ill never be back…

   Nashville Underground is a dive bar with not much emphasis on restaurant. I’m not quite sure how this place made it onto Open Table-which is usually reserved for restaurants of better quality.

    What an absolutely awful experience we had! We had reservations for 10 people at 6:30 pm Sunday night may 1st. We arrived and were told the floor was closed for a private party and that we no longer had a reservation. I was never notified by the business. My friend who arrived first was greeted so nasty and she told the staff she had a reservation and one other staff member said "I don't give a F*@k" So after that we should have left but with 10 people it's hard to find places that can accommodate that many people at dinner time. We had to put our own tables together for us to all be seated at the same table. After that our watress was so rude it was very hard for me not to walk out! She could care less we were paying customers. She blamed a wrong order on the kitchen staff and only then did she apologize. I would never ever return to this business if you paid me! Good luck to the next people who go here....avoid it if you can! Horrible service, unfriendly staff, just ok food and crazy overpriced drinks! Save your money and eat anywhere else on Broadway cause this ain't the one!

    Excellent experience! Waitstaff was friendly with the perfect recommendations and knowledge. Would dine here often if we were local, but will definitely be back on our next trip.

    Food is good. But the kitchen was sooooo slow. She warned us there would be a wait because the kitchen was backed up - which is fine but tables seated after us were getting food before us and we only had a party of 4. We waited about an hour and a half for our food. It was just very poor service. Then the waitress didn’t even ask if we wanted our checks separated. She just gave us one check and at that time we had been there for 2 hours so we were fed up and just wanted to leave.

    Just not a great place to be if you want some good food while listening to music. Cafeteria-quality food. Very noisy with muffled rap music... all you can hear on the floor where you eat is the thumping of a base so it is not really pleasant. Lots of bachlorette parties and they all looked to be having fun.. no problem with that. Just not our scene. Slow service. Salad arrived long after we finished the main course... waitress too busy to notice (not her fault).

    We waited for over 1 hour for our food as other tables who arrived after were served first. We asked the server 3 times where our food was….. once the food arrived it was amazing but won’t be back. Awful awful awful service.

    Typical restaurant on broadway. Food got you full is all. Too loud to have a conversation. Drinks in plastic cups catered to the bachelorette and bro culture.

    This is an actual nightclub for a “dinner”. The floor was sticky and the server, when you could find her, hovered over us when it came time for the tip.

    Brunch is not their best time. Seems like they’d have an awesome crowd for dinner/evening but we were the only ones on the 2nd floor and eating. My eggs had sat under a heat lamp until the top was dried out and hard

    Can’t complain on the actual meal. It was yummy. However the Appetizer took almost a hour to get and that was after we had to ask about it. Unfortunately it was very bland and not even hot. And we thought the drinks were very pricey, sure we was in Nashville however a Tito’s and water was $11! You can get a handle for the price of 2 drinks.

    They didn’t have the drink I wanted. Then I wanted the pulled pork fries but they said they were out of the queso. So I still asked for it without the queso. The food took forever and when they brought it out, it was just fries. They ran out of pulled pork. They burnt a burger to a crisp. It was just not good.

    We waited over a 40 minutes for the food and when it came it was the flatbread was cold and then the bbq was cold. The waitress never checked on our order or our table. We were very disappointed in the quality of the food.

    Food and service were good but music was blaring so loud that you couldn’t even talk amongst yourselves at the table. I could see doing that after hours once it becomes a “bar” but during the day when families can come eat that’s a bit too loud to enjoy your time there. Sad to say that even with good food and service we won’t be back because of that.

    The food was amazing!! It took a while for the server to get to us at first but after the she was pretty quick. There is not live music and the Music was so loud we could barely talk. I would go back again for a lunch but definitely not dinner.

    Horrible service, the waitress didn’t seem to care. Didn’t check on us so she wasn’t aware we didn’t get our salads, and tried to charge us for them. Never apologized. This is a bar with loud music. Not a restaurant but we are not from here so didn’t realize

    We went to celebrate a friends birthday. When I made the reservation there was no mention of age restrictions. My friend is not yet 21 and she was only allowed on the 1st and 2nd floor even though she had two large black xs drawn on her hands by the door security. Mind you there is a full bar on every floor. This would have been helpful information had we known before attending.

    About the only real highlight was we had food service, except for the reservation itself. Get a voice just a couple of hours before the actual reservation that it was for "tomorrow". I tried call back to no avail. Fortunately we had no issues when it came time. Our waitress was friendly and responsive. On the other hand, food was either incorrect, missing items, overcooked, undercooked, or sitting in puddles of oil that were just unappetizing. I am a home chef and I deep fry sometimes. It's not that hard with hot chicken tenders to drain excess oil (this was my order). Medium well on a burger shouldn't look burnt and well done shouldn't have pink.
