    I have i’ve been going to Napa for decades had not been there in a while into my disappointment. They have now changed their menu to be more of a French flair. All the wonderful things that they used to have on their menu are now gone that being said, our appetizers came out cold, we waited over an hour for our main dish because they had to re-cook one of them so overall I was very disappointed in a place that I used to consider my go to for a good meal

    Seated and waited around 20-25 minutes before we we had any contact with wait staff. The level of service continued to be lack luster after that. Not the level of service I’ve had in the past when dining there. Disappointed.

    The food was amazing! Service was very slow though. Took a very long time to get our drinks, then an even longer time to get our food. And we had a missing item and it took until we were finished eating to get it. However, the unique brunch menu makes up for those mistakes, so I think we would give it another chance! Perhaps it was just an off day.

    Waiter disappeared once food was served. The men in our group got their beers when they were almost finished with dinner. So not happy with the service. Didn’t think the entrees were worth the price. My husband had the filet and was disappointed in how small it was, yet tasted good. Large plates do not include bread or a salad. Which is where the value comes into play. All of us were pleased with our large plates, otherwise. Two of us got the Salmon, one of us got the Duck, and two others got the short ribs. We also had the salted Carmel mocha cheesecake, and the chocolate mousse cake for dessert. Both excellent! We were a party of six (3 couples) and were seated in a booth, so the seating was tight. A table for 6 would have been preferable. Also, ordered. Cranberry Moscow Mule and they forgot the cranberry so they brought me a glass of cranberry to add to my $12 drink 🙄 “Someone” stopped by our table to see how our meal was, but never introduced themselves, even when asked who they were so can’t tell you if they were a manger, an owner, or someone off the street 🤷🏽‍♀️ All in all, the food was good, but these days if their service and atmosphere doesn’t go along with that, then I won’t be back.

    Napa on Providence is consistently enjoyable from arrival to departure. Always a good place for a fun gathering or business meeting. Even when the parking lot is full, the patio is a quiet retreat. Our server Ashworth was perfect; attentive and helpful and delightful. Will return soon.

    Our waiter was pleasant knowledgeable and efficient! The manager was outstanding and friendly! Food was great! Salmon cooked perfectly. We received a wonderful surprise with a gift certificate for our birthday girl and an out of this world chocolate cake! This was the PERFECT place to celebrate my friend’s birthday! Thank you!

    Chose this cuz of Trip Advisor recommendations….excellent, would return! Great meatballs, very light…..I ordered salmon, which I don’t usually do and the seasoning was excellent….no oysters so my husband switched to mussels, also excellent.

    For the first time ever we decided to eat Thanksgiving dinner at a restaurant and chose Napa on Providence. We were not disappointed — it was a preset menu with lots of choices. We had the turkey, which was moist and delicious. Unfortunately the side that went with it (Brussels sprouts) had run out but we were able to select another substitute. Our waiter Todd could not have been more attentive. We had a lovely evening and will definitely be going back there again.

    Busy Thanksgiving crowd. Our server Alicia was great. Room we were in was just ok for the event as were seated in a back meeting room but understood with the holiday crowd. Food was excellent. Turkey was moist and medium rare salmon order perfect. Good value for price point.

    First time attending this restaurant during a holiday (Thanksgiving). Service was good and I am appreciative of anyone working on holiday. Meal was fine but not spectacular. Main course and dessert were fine but somewhat skimpy on the side dishes. First course soup (butternut squash bisque) was a disappointment. Soup was luke warm and the three pieces of squash in the soup were under cooked. Overall, cost was too high for what was served. I like this restaurant, but would not recommend for Thanksgiving.

    Went for their thanksgiving feast this year. Small portions for the price, mid level service and not much in the way of ambiance. We’d been to Napa before, but something about this experience felt off. Better options in Charlotte for the price.

    My husband and I had Thanksgiving dinner at Napa on Providence last year and enjoyed it, so decided to return this year. I started with a margarita which supposedly had jalapeño syrup in it, but there was no discernible spiciness to the drink, so perhaps they forgot to add the syrup? My butternut squash bisque tasted suspiciously like the kind you can get from Trader Joes in a box. Main entrees came out quickly, but were completely cold when received, so my assumption was they made them well in advance of our order and they just sat out. Pork loin was completely dry (the fig sauce was tasty but I was wishing for more to moisten the pork). There was no perceivable glaze or seasoning on the roasted carrots, they were just plain. The dessert options (apple pie or pumpkin pie) were uninspired and my pumpkin pie slice was tiny with an even tinier dollop of whipped cream and a basic taste similar to school cafeteria dessert. We wanted Thanksgiving dinner to be special and walked out disappointed and vowing never to go back. Would have given 1-star but coffee was hot and our waiter was friendly and attentive.

    We booked Napa on Providence for Thanksgiving. It was a Prix Fixe menu. We wanted a more laid back Thanksgiving without having to cook as we both had to work the day before and the day after. The menu was very good. The food was all excellent. The pacing was also well thought out. We were surprised by how busy they were at 2 pm on Thanksgiving... Perhaps more restaurants should consider this type of option. We clearly aren't the only ones who don't like traditional Thanksgiving foods and don't want to have to cook... The think that we liked about the menu is that they had both traditional and non-traditional Thanksgiving foods. Everything we had was excellent. We started with Caesar salads and then my wife had the Salmon and I had the Filet. Both were cooked perfectly and tasted great. We also got a side of the Brussel Spouts which were amazing. For dessert my wife had the Pumpkin Pie and I had the Apple Tart. They were both really good. Would definitely recommend this for Thanksgiving!

    The filet hand a tingly taste to it - maybe like on the verge of crossing the line of too old… I actually worried that I hoped it wouldn’t make me Ill later in the night. The potato square was excellent… The squash soup was good. The guest who had the shrimp special said it was good… The chocolate mousse cake was rich but great. Todd - our server - was outstanding!! I liked the old atmosphere better for finer dining… it’s not as cozy & sophisticated ambience. Too bad they modernized & made it so white, grey, blackish - like everyone else. Bring back low lights, & sexy ambiance.

    We went with our dinner group of six that eats at different restaurants every month. I cannot say enough about what a wonderful experience we had at Napa. The service was outstanding. Our server was knowledgeable and very upbeat and pleasant. The manager stopped by the table and again was so pleasant. The food was excellent. All six of us, thought our meal was the best we have had in a while. Portions are just right and the sides are unique and very tasty. A shout out for whoever prepared the brussel sprouts - they were amazing.

    My first time dining at this restaurant and overall, it was a very positive experience. Very pleasant staff from entrance to exit. Went early to avoid the dinner rush. Opted to seat inside and was served promptly. Went with sparkling water as our table water had somewhat of a flavor to it. The mussels I had were great but the meatballs really are the stars. There is outdoor seating which is where I feel the ambience is. Our entrees were filling, delicious and well prepared. Our table had the duck and the short ribs. Pleasant noise levels where I didn’t feel the need to scream to make conversation.

    I’ve so many time better but this last time as bad. Took forever for our food. They forgot the salmon the salad. Just out of sorts and not a great experience for a place that has always nailed it. The manager stopped by and said “Oh you both have salmon”. No apology. Just weird as heck.

    Not a good experience. Our reservation was at 3:30pm and it seems that the restaurant was not prepared to have guests at that time, maybe if someone tries to go after 5-6 might be luckier. Let’s start with the service, very slow and unprepared. The food, again probably because of the time we went, but they didn’t have available the regular menu (although their website states brunch is served until 3pm) therefore no braised short ribs available until after 4pm (people arriving after that time still had a wait of at least 45min to have them). As appetizers we order the Beet Cured Salmon that was excellent, and the Bone Marrow which missed the Rustic Bread that it was supposed to have been served with. Then we ordered the Pan-Roasted Salmon that came with a soggy, elastic, bland skin; the Filet Mignon, the center was cold as well as the potato Pavé that was cold and greasy; finally the Pan-Roasted Duck Breast served with a Confit Leg Croquette that was cold and greasy as well. The restaurant has a good and creative menu proposal, however the cooks and servers must be prepared to deliver properly when the restaurant is in service, otherwise you’ll continue to deliver underperformed dishes.

    Our waitress was great - extremely attentive and quick service! We loved our drinks and dessert (the apple tarte tatin was the best thing we had all night! SO delicious!). We felt that our appetizer and entrees were just okay. The portions were small for the roasted cauliflower and the scallops. The short rib pappardelle was good, but the pasta was pretty thick and undercooked. Overall, we'll be back but maybe will try different main courses!

    We enjoyed charcuterie, wine, beer, filet and braised beef. All cooked perfectly and the flavor was exceptional. The desert was phenomenal with a nice fall flavor.

    I’m going to preface this by saying I have had previously been to Napa years ago and had enjoyed it. This time it was Absolutely horrible from the hostess’s grumpy attitude to a waiter that ignored us. Other tables were getting drinks and complimentary muffins and we had to flag down our waiter. The food took a very long time to come out and was practically inedible. Burnt and dry duck on waffle. Very Burnt brioche which overpowered the entire dish which was pretty much a mess to begin with.
