   Staff and food were wonderful! We sat at the sushi bar and got amazing service from our sever as well as the people behind the sushi bar! It was a great time and the staff was extremely friendly!!

   I’ve had way better sushi for way less of the price. The food was good but not worth the price. It was just kinda average. The drinks were more reasonable and good!

   The maki rolls were really good! So was the matcha tiramisu. This place should improve their cocktails though- I ordered a vodka cocktail that was served room temperate and in a champagne flute? The edamame was undercooked too which was unfortunate for $8. But would come back for sushi & dessert.

   Very nice chic restaurant in the Mount Vernon area. Our service was a bit bumpy at first but it got better and we had a great experience at the restaurant.

   Fantastic fish and sushi, decent drinks. Service can be a little slower, as there are only 2 people making rolls at the bar, but overall satisfied with timing. Presentation of sushi is beautiful and the food was all extremely fresh.

   Came here for winter restaurant week. At $40 for the 3 course prefix dinner menu it's not only an excellent value but the food is also of excellent quality. The entree platter of sashimi, nigiri and maki rolls is substantial and a great sampler of what the restaurant has to offer. In comparison it's sister restaurant's higher priced RW dinner offering was a lot less in every way.

   Nama has great ambience but the service and quality was pretty average. For the price point I would expect the sushi to be a little more flavorful/adventurous. In addition the service was pretty slow. It took the two of us 2.5 hours from the time we sat down to when we left to order, receive our food and finally our bill.

    Decent experience - food was on par with most average sushi restaurants in DC. Restaurant needed attention for cleaning and we were asked to leave after 2.5 hours for another table.

    Nama is fine for a casual sushi experience. It is not as authentic as expected but works when really craving "Americanized" sushi.

    We enjoyed out meal at Nama. The menu has good variety and the food is prepared with care and quality. The service was attentive and very nice. We will be back!

    Nice enough restaurant. The food was good (very pretty), but highly overpriced. $6 for a Miso Soup? $20 for a Maki Roll? I would not recommend due to the lack of value. Sushi doesn't go far, and the bill adds up quickly. Also to note is the 20% fixed gratuity.

    The server was good and attentive, but i gave 3 stars because they bring you a digital check on a device with the tip pre chosen (or highly recommended) , and the server stands there and watches you. I never saw the check, just the total and tip - but i like to quantify it. I miss the privacy of a paper check being given to you. But our server was attentive. The Sushi was very high quality, and inventive. Nama is connected to a different restaurant next door. Shared music, restrooms, etc. Interesting layout. I would go again, but would need to ask the server to bring a paper check.

    The food here was beautiful and delicious. The service was on point. The only minor negatives were that it was loud, so we couldn’t really share a conversation. Would definitely go again, though!

    For $40, you get a 3 course meal that includes sushi, mushroom miso soup or seaweed salad, and a delicious cheesecake. I think the sashimi was on the small side and it wasn't the best fish choice, although the seared tuna was not bad. The temperature of the fish was good, not cold. The spicy roll was not crunchy enough and definitely spicy for me. If you love sushi, I wouldn't bet on the restaurant week menu. It doesn't excite the pallet too much, more on the safe side.

    Very chill place, happy hour portions and selections are great if you’re just curious to try for a first time! Strongly recommend the shrimp tempura and salmon with avocado rolls:) Lastly I didn’t like the miso soup personally but others might find it great.

    Would not recommend this restaurant at all, some of the least impressive sushi I've ever eaten. We opted for the "premium" sashimi plate and ended up getting two chunks of egg as one of of the "premium" options as well as half cooked fish. In a sashimi plate. Fish quality wasn't ideal, I'd equate it to a little bit above grocery store sushi quality, which would be fine if it wasn't $80 for 17 pieces of mediocre fish. I'm not a food snob in the least but wow was this disappointing for the price point. You can do much better in the DC area.

    Our first time and the food didn’t disappoint. Some of the rolls were especially good We enjoyed the special cocktails and our server was attentive & friendly. It is smaller, more casual than it appears in online photos.
