   Very busy Friday night. We were neglected while waiting for the concierge. And there were three incidents of glasses and plates being dropped in close proximity to us causing us to jump. But besides what is out of everyone’s control the ambiance was definitely energetic. The service was attentive enough to feel comfortable but not overwhelmed. And the food was good. A gastronomic joy. With only one negative… the country steak was too salty for my taste. My dining partner felt the pork chop she had was “okay”. I would still recommend Moxie based on my previous experience.

   I went for Mother’s Day. The service was excellent. We couldn’t eat from the usual menu because they had a menu set for Mother’s Day. My steak wasn’t cooked to my liking and I had to send it back just for it to still not be cooked properly however the other food was delicious

   We went for Mother’s Day brunch, and the restaurant is really nice. Very friendly staff. It was a good meal, and the only downsides were the server forgot our starter, they ran out of a side and the chicken piccata came with peppercorns instead of capers. We would still go again, because those were just small things.

    Had a great time with friends. The cocktails were great, especially the Sidecar. Food was very good. The roasted cauliflower was well done. The lamb chops were delicious with the mint sauce - not too overpowering.

    Ordered the onion soup, which came out barely warm. Sent it back, but even the second time it wasn't hot enough. Do you not have a microwave? Ordered the salmon medium, but it came out so dry I asked for some mayo so I could try to make it edible. Lunch partner had the sliders, barely made it through one and a half; mediocre. Were you starting a new chef? Server/bartender was pleasant and polite.

    Moxie's for lunchtime dining is a delight! Sit back and relax to the soothing background jazz music. My husband enjoyed their Classic Caesar Salad with added grilled chicken breast and also anchovies. While I had their Salmon Nicoise Salad. Delicious! Very fine attentive service.     We went in to Moxie for lunch. We had mocktails that were beautiful and delicious. Our appetizer was amazing! And I can't say enough good things about the potato wedges and fry sauce. I really don't think you can go wrong with anything you would order.

    Our server was fantastic. The food was just ok - we enjoyed the mushroom bruschetta but neither of us loved our dinners. Ambiance was wonderful, restaurant wad moderately loud, tables were small and tight, and the bar was only to eat not to have cocktails at. We enjoyed our night out and always glad to try a new place.

    Got an early start, 6pm Saturday reservations. Server was very attentive and suggested the soup, a potato cream with fresh herbs. It was delicious. I ordered the braised beef ribs and my partner ordered the Ragu. The ribs were served on a bed of mashed potatoes and charred carrots. It was pure comfort food. My partner really liked the ragu. Both were sizable helpings. At this point the restaurant was filling. It is a smallish venue with high top, bar and table settings squeezed into it. The noise level became such that it was difficult to hear my partner. After our meal, our plates were cleared and then we waited. And waited. And waited for our bill. I finally flagged down our server and got our bill. So the evening was a mixed event. I got the feeling there are regulars that don’t mind having a loud time and garner all the service. Another server spent a long time talking to a group of patrons. Maybe it would be better on a different night.

    We were seated right away. It is a very small restaurant with no coat rack so you get cramped with coats/purses at the table. Good wine selection. My husband tried a new martini on the menu. He asked the waiter how it was and the waiter had never tried it. I get that. But the drink was as sour as a sour patch gummy and really not very good. The waiter could have warned us. Choked it down. Had a chocolate martini, light on vodka heavy on the chocolate. Not great. Ordered mushroom bruschetta and lamb chops which were delicious. The Ragu was awful. The meat was dry, very bland, and did not taste fresh. I brought it home to make it better on my own! Overall, not that great of an experience.

    Food was just average. Great environment, drinks and service! Apps are good, entrees need a refresh. Would recommend expanding specials. Also, you sit very close to people. There is the feeling of awkwardness being so close and wanting to chat but giving privacy to others. Maybe it’s just me…

    Our Waitress was great, food very good, I ordered a Cosmo for a drink, it was all wrong, our waitress said she would have them remake but it was busy and we were in a hurry to get to a play, so I asked for some extra cranberry juice, Had I known you charge $16 for a mixed drink I would have absolutely sent it back! That is the highest I have ever seen and I eat out often,,,I was even surprised she had it on the bill because of its quality,, but other than that, I had the Salmon Sandwich and side Caesar and they were delish,,NO more mixed drinks at those prices though,, thank you for asking Oh one more thing, the strangest thing happened, I went into the Trouble and Son to make a reservation for 5:45, I made it for 3, saw I had a confirmation but never bothered to read it. SOMEHOW I was booked for Moxie! Not at all sure how that happened, although happy with the food
