Monkitail was amazing! I brought my friends out after reading the reviews and I couldn’t be happier! We ate from every section of the menu, the Loli pop lamb chops were to die for! Our favorites were the duck bao bun , sea bass and special tuna tacos! It was busy for a Sunday night and the restaurant has a beautiful decor and vibe. Can’t wait to come back on the weekend and check out Nokku!

Our server, Erica, was one of the best I've ever had. No joke. She was nice, attentive and so knowledgeable about the menu. She was attentive without being annoying. Her timing was great. Her recommendations were spot on.

The food was great. We did the chef's tasting and tried something from each section of the menu and nothing disappointed. I had the signature Monkitail cocktail - really just a smoky take on a Manhattan. It was great but $15 per. The restaurant was really cool and modern. I wish this place was open near me. My wallet is happy it isn’t.

We loved it! The tapas style allowed us to enjoy so many options- all were absolutely delicious- especially the tuna rice cracker.

Amazing 10 course selection. Every dish was unique and delightful. Service by Pavel was incredible probably one of the best servers we have encountered. Will definitely recommend to anyone and come back on our next visit to Miami.

We love this place, but haven’t been in a while. They replaced the cod fried rice with shrimp fried rice, which was a little disappointing, but everything was excellent. The duck bao buns are unreal. One of our favorite places

Wonderful dining experience. I had the tasting menu which was an adventurous food experience--from buttery toro tuna, spicy shrimp taco, hamachi sushi roll, grilled octopus and pork belly skewers, melt-in-your mouth sea bass, charred brussel sprouts, heart of palm salad, shitaki gyoza..... Linda was a great waitress, not intrusive and just enough attention to make you feel like she was paying attention and wanted to make sure that you were enjoying your meal. Lovely ambience and the only fault i could find was that it was a liitle too dim and loud. That being said, i would not hesitate to return!

The ambiance and the food is great. The service is a little slow, you need to wait for your waitress to come by if you have some additional orders. But overall, it is an excellent experience. Highly recommended.

This restaurant was charming, quirky, and delicious. The waiter was very knowledgeable and helpful. The food as superb and served on beautiful little plates with a flow to the service that made the experience wonderful. I had a 12 piece sashimi sampler that if it would not look bad I would have reordered. I "settled" for a marvelous Kobe Beef sushi appetizer. We live about 60 miles from this place and will be back with our friends.

Service was good but they kept trying to take our plates while there was still food on them! Without asking, they would come by and swipe the plate away while we were talking and we had to call them back. This seems to be the trend in restaurants today. All of a sudden an arm swoops in to remove a plate or glass without asking, interrupting conversation. I know this is their training, but I find it very intrusive.

The atmosphere is romantic with low lighting which is great for a romantic date night with the wife or a friend. The food is fantastic, you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Overall excellent choice.

We were seated right away. They accommodated the type of table my wife wanted. The service was excellent. The food was great. My wife had the venison, Lamb Chop and sirloin steak which she absolutely loved. I had the tuna, spicy tuna roll which are all very good. The swordfish meatball because of the need for some breading was not as good as the others. A nice bottle a French red wine completed the evening.

I met one of my girlfriends for dinner at Monkitail. She has been before but this was my first time. We had a late reservation, but were sat right away. We were sat at a corner round table, which was perfect for us to catch up. Our server Henry was fantastic. We started with a bottle of wine. He suggested for us to do the chefs tasting. We agreed, seemed like a good way to try a lot of dishes. We let Henry pick our dishes, and we were not disappointed! The spicy hamachi dish was so fresh and delicious. The duck buns, and sea bass were all stars as well. Everything came out in a timely manner, and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. We stayed late into the night, and then were brought back to the hidden bar in the back. There was a DJ, and karaoke. The bartenders Mike and Colby were very welcoming. They set us up in a room to try out and made delicious espresso Martinis! What a fun night, I could not have asked for anything more.

Very cool restaurant. We ordered the tasting sampler but waited a long time between servings. If we go back we’ll have to try an individual plate. Nice place to celebrate a birthday, anniversary or date night.

Monkitail was a true experience from start to finish. This was my second time at the restaurant and was treated like royalty. The tasting menu was the best value in FL! Coming from NY this meal would easy be 150 dollars a person but it is 65$ for ten courses and you can add lobster and Kobe for just 3$ more! The whole table enjoys the menu family style and the food is almost overwhelming with three dishes coming at a time over four course. The tables favorite were the tuna crispy rice, edamame dumplings, and Sea Bass was phenomenal. My personal favorite was the duck Shabu ramen style in a traditional cast iron skillet packed with vegetables and an amazing broth!!! We stopped by Nokku their hidden lounge and had the Monkitail a double perfect Manhattan with a show of fire and smoke and great flavor what a way to end the meal!

Expensive but food was good. Service was not so good waited for drinks and I had to get up to go to bar which wasnt busy and get my own drink. Overall price was higher for Florida. More like NYC, which I am use to. Ambiance was great!

Food is delivered quickly. Waitstaff and management very accommodating for food allergy; however, kitchen does not closely adhere to restrictions. Use caution if dining with allergies. The management was very apologetic for the repeated mistakes, and they gave free celebratory champagne and sake shots for our guests.

The food was great, the service was great from start to finish, and the ambience was great. Angela greeted us very nicely up front. Mateo and Brandon delivered exceptional service throughout the night. Would definitely recommend this place to a friend.

Freezing in the restaurant, not pleasant, they have improve the food, service is terrible, the waiter was rude and not attentive.....he should work in a fast food restaurant!!

The service at Monkitail is outstanding. Th staff is attentive. The manager, Collin, is great. He came to our table and addressed our concerns. He resolved the issue by sending out another order of the food we disliked. Collin is the true definition of an effective and efficient manager. I went with a large party. I liked a few dishes: the duck bao was awesome. The shrimp fried rice was delicious, but it was VERY spicy because of the chili peppers. We got another order without the peppers and it was great. The pork belly was amazing. This was one of the items that initially came out dry and flavorless, but Collin saved the day. The second order was pork belly perfection! I enjoyed the oysters very much. I did not like the lobster roll because the tempura was soggy. The big eye tuna was served warm and as per Collin it was because of the shrimp tempura. My daughter loved the NY strip. It looked perfectly seared. She ate the tuna roll and had no complaints. Honestly, I think the items we did not like were probably sitting for a bit and we do not prefer spicy food. However, service and Collin were great!!
