Inspired by the wood-fired Robata grills of Japan, Mizu offers a refreshed take on live-fire cooking atop the Hyatt Centric in the heart of Charlotte's SouthPark neighborhood. Led by the award-winning Indigo Road Hospitality Group, the rooftop restaurant combines the traditions of ancient Japanese cooking with Southern influences and Asian flavors. The chef offers a seafood-focused menu composed of wood-fired, raw, and chilled offerings, sushi, and shareable plates. True to the word Mizu's translation to 'water' in Japanese, the space's design takes inspiration from natural elements, which are incorporated throughout the chic, minimalist restaurant, and outdoor terrace with sweeping city views.

    We celebrated our 4-year anniversary at Mizu and couldn't have picked a better spot. The service was outstanding from start to finish, and the thoughtful anniversary touch they added made the night feel truly special. Our server Kylah was beyond attentive and so sweet. She made us feel taken care of all evening, and every recommendation she gave was spot on. Thank you, Kylah and the Mizu team, for making our anniversary one to remember.     Our waiter Jay was amazing. Opted for the Osusume and the red snapper, both did not disappoint! I'm still thinking about the Ube Banana Pudding. I will be coming back the next time I visit Charolette!

    We had an incredible experience at Mizu! Cameron was our server, and he was extremely knowledgeable and did a great job guiding us through the menu and helping us choose our dishes. Everything we ordered was absolutely amazing and packed with flavor. We tried the Taki fries, robata chicken, lobster fried rice, spiced carrots, sea bass, cowboy roll, and lemon drop roll—and every single dish was outstanding. We sat out on the patio, which was perfect on such a beautiful night. Great food, great atmosphere, and excellent service. Highly recommend Mizu!

    Took my mom here for a special birthday dinner. Could not have been more satisfied w the level of service, food, and drinks provided! Service was outstanding, our waitress Liz was very sweet and accommodating to allergy restrictions. It was refreshing to see a restaurant with so many gluten free options. The staff truly made it a very special night. My whole family rated this an 10/10 and we would all return for future occasions! Thank you sincerely to Mizu

    We were hoping for a more scenic rooftop experience. Sadly it’s a little lackluster with a view of a large crane. Drinks and food were good but not great. Service was slow but our waitress was friendly. Overall a little underwhelmed.
