I came here for my birthday and was very glad I picked this place. Great food, great atmosphere, and the service was spectacular. They even gave me a complimentary slice of cheesecake for my birthday. I am definitely going to start going here for special occasions.

This is our go to place for Italian. When they have it the bread pudding is outstanding and the eggplant Parmesan is my favorite. The Zuppe de Pesce is my usual go-to and the carbonara tagliatelle is also terrific.

We eat here once a month and it is always great. No matter which server we have the service is good and the food is consistently wonderful. And it is a great value.

We loved eating at Mirko Pasta. We felt the ambiance was a little odd; the place is small but it looked like they had repurposed a different chain restaurant building as their own, so it didn't feel like a super authentic Italian place in terms of dining atmosphere, but that didn't matter so much. The food was incredible. Everything tasted so delicious! We loved getting to create our own unique pasta dishes. They were full of flavor and tasted so fresh. Even the bread we were served was some of the best sourdough we have had. They also had a lovely variety of wines to pair with our meals. Our waiter was kind and gave great service. I felt their meals rivaled some of the fancier Italian restaurants we have been to around the city. This place is our new number 1 spot for Italiano. We will definitely be back!

I was very disappointed in Mirko. We have eaten there three or four times over the last few years. Always enjoyed it. This was a special occasion in that this week we are celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary. Here is why we gave such a low rating: out entrées arrived before we finished our appetizers. My husband ordered a veal chop entrée which was nearly raw. Our server even said, “This is disgusting.“ (Not her fault.). I ordered the ravioli appetizer as an entrée. While I like my pasta al dente, this pasta was clearly under-cooked. Out server was very nice, and I guess the management decided to give us free desserts. We live in Birmingham, and I doubt we will come back to Mirko.

Dinner out with my parents and I chose Mirko. We all enjoyed the lasagne and the Caesar salad. Unfortunately the place was very loud so it was difficult to carry on a conversation. Also it really needs a renovation. The tables were rustic but the finish over the top was chipping off and the booth was falling apart. Just tacky. Server was very inattentive. I went without a water refill for probably 20-30 min. For such a small restaurant, that is unacceptable. The food would bring me back but not often.
