   The service was amazing but the Calamari tasted sour. I assumed it will be better than Tora since they are the same owners but Tora is by far way better in terms of food.

   Wasn't worth it for Winterlicious. The service and cocktails were great! The sushi plate was also very good. However, the sashimi was sub-par, as were the tuna tataki and beef sukiyaki entrees. The dessert was a nice end to our meal, but not enough to redeem the rest of the meal. I particularly enjoyed the chocolate cake.

   Good vibe, food is pretty good but the duck I had was too hard and dried. Very expensive. Aside from that, I enjoyed my time.

   We went for the Winterlicious Menu - ambiance was amazing my appetizer of the chef’s Sushi was AMAZING. I got the duck which I found was a bit dry and over done. Desert made up for everything. Overall, great experience - service was excellent.

    Winterlicious. All plates delicious & tasty. Dessert and sushi appetizer (only good part) good portions, but main had only one small slice (2.5 x 1 in) of duck meat, 2 spoonfuls of rice, 2 small circular cuts of a potato finglering. Ridiculously small. Was left hungry after. Most diasappoonting winterlicous experience =(

    Service was above and beyond. The server and management team made our visit special. The server was very attentive and responsive. Offering appropriate recommendations when asked . The meal started off with complimentary drinks from the manager and ended with a birthday black sesame ice cream which I planned on getting originally but I thought I was too full to eat. Thank you for making our night feel special.

    It was a really great meal! We had a great time. I didn’t really like being so close to the area where the wait staff fill water and prepare the bills/input orders. A lot of the time you were hearing there conversations instead of enjoying your own.

    Servers were very friendly, enjoyed the cocktails. We had 3 but saw others that looked very nice. Sushi was excellent. The decor was also quite nice. Would go again.

    Our server Joel (I think) was great and very friendly. I tried the winterlicious menu and my boyfriend had steak and some appies. A little pricey but a really nice dinner out. Definitely nothing I could recreate.

    Went there for winterlicious. Portions were very small. Nobody would’ve left satisfied unless they ordered side dishes. Overall meh, would’ve been a different experience if portions were bigger or we were charged less. After all, everything all together was no worth $250.

    Went for Winterlicious. Food was delish. Sushi was melt in your mouth w outstanding flavour. Portion size was very small for $65 for 3 course meal. Plan to order more to be satisfied.

    We came to try Minami for their Winterlicous menu. The food tastes good, but the entrée size is ridiculously small. We ordered duck breast with foie gras for one of our main, it only has 1 slice of duck breast, a spoonful of rice and a loonie size foie gras. I don't mind pay more for the set menu if the portion size can be more appropriate.

    We went for the lunch Winterlicious tasting menu. We loved our first course and desert, but were very underwhelmed by the main. Overall it was a nice experience but we thought the value, quality, and taste was lacking in the main dish.

    the server was like a robot. she came to our table every meal we receive and ask the same question and reply the same without any interest in our table. even we ordered winterlicious menu which consists of sushi. she never asked us for soy sauce. We did not know it comes with soy sauce until the other table right next to us got it. Food overall was overpriced. the main dish's name was beef sukiyaki, but it doesn't match at all. really did not get it why named it beef sukiyaki?

    The winterlicious menu was a fantastic way to experience the chef’s range in utilizing a wide variety of ingredients. The sushi selection was fantastic, fish perfectly tempered and buttery, and the cocktails were well balanced and delicious.

    Fabulous restaurant!!!! Food was outstanding - I’ve only ever had sushi this good in Japan. Main portions were small, as expected, but each dish was perfectly executed for an incredible experience with each bite. 5 stars all the way!!!

    I am very disappointed with the food and the service I had today. I was treating my sister to what I thought was going to be a special meal but instead it was just embarrassing. The food at Minami was not any better than the usual middle of the road Japanese restaurant and the service was even worse. The server knew that it was for a birthday and she didn’t even offer a dessert menu instead I had to call her over and press for info on the desserts. Really? I regretted taking my sister all the way downtown for this mediocre food and service. What happened Minami?! I am so disappointed!

    I LOVE everything about this restaurant. The food is amazing and the service is top notch. Everyone knows the menu inside and out and are always on top of helping their Customers. I feel special and taken care of when I visit Minami.

    Minami was great. Such a great atmostphere and great food. We loved it! The Minami rolls and charred brocollini were highlights, skip the beef pot roast, go for the sashimi!

    Highly recommend Crudo style sashimi (shrimp with truffle sauce was out of this world, yellowtail, bluefin tuna and the salmon sauce was mouthwatering) Obviously all the fish in Premium nigiri set and Uni tasted amazingly. Vague skewers were so tasty and were melting in our mouth. Too bad we didn't take photo of it. Desserts were out of this world too (cheese tart is not overly sweet, and Coconut banana pie is a piece of art) Vague carpaccio was amazing too! Everything was great. Our server was knowledgeable and nice to chat with.
