   Amazing service with the best sushi I’ve had. I booked in advanced all the way from New Jersey and having this restaurant as a destination point was worth it. The service was great and the staff was friendly and passionate about the food. Would definitely come back every time I visit Toronto.

   Nice experience with quality food except for the edamame who seemed old and too cooked. All the dishes were really good otherwise but quantity was small for the price. I would go back to try different things.

   Such delicious food!!! Really enjoyed ourselves and the staff was great. However the time between serving the food was slow and one washroom stall had toilet paper issues (it was stuck, so I had a Seinfeld moment).

    Had an excellent time at Minami. It was my fiancée's birthday and it was the perfect dinner experience. The service was top-notch with the wait staff being very helpful and attentive. The food was great both the traditional nigiri as well as the torched aburi style sushi. Would definitely recommend coming here and will absolutely be going again!

    Came here for a birthday dinner before attending a show. Absolutely loved everything we tried. All food here just melts in your mouth. And service was incredible. Everyone was friendly and on point. The ambience was beautiful. Will definitely be back in the future! Thank you for making our night out so memorable.

    We like the interesting choices on the menu. The staff are always willing to explain the different dishes beforehand and when the meal is delivered, what is on your plate is explained too. Noise level never interferes with table conversation.

    Spent over $100/pp and left still very hungry. The portions were ridiculously small for the price. Cocktails and ambiance were lovely but wouldn’t recommend for dinner.

    Really loved the decor of this place. The food was amazing and the staff's attention to detail was top notch. We celebrated my husband's bday and mentioned it when being asked why we were there at the reception. When dessert time came, we were surprised to receive a bday message and candle with my husband's dessert. Really and enjoyable experience. Only complaint is that I think they had like ac on so I felt a bit Chilli.

    Absolutely terrific. The staff were very helpful in addressing people’s dietary needs (including gluten free), and the food was phenomenal. Love the option for both sushi and steak (and even some wagyu sushi!) Just wish some of the aburi sushi could be made gluten free (like at sister restaurant, Miku) and that they had more options for sake by the class or smaller bottles - only a few of their extensive sake list is available by the glass or in smaller sizes. But those are really minor issues, and we’ll be back for sure! Really conveniently located in the Theatre district.

One small note: the hamachi oshi is available gluten free, however it does contain miso, so it depends on whether the guest is celiac or GF.     Had the tasting menu, some of the dishes were unbalanced with sauces overpowering the main ingredients. Beef tenderloin was a bit chewy, lobster tail was a struggle to eat as it was completely stuck to the shell. Dessert was underwhelming. Sashimi starter was fantastic, as were the majority of the sushi platter for the 3rd course.
