   This was the first time I'd been to the restaurant and probably wouldn't recommend it anytime soon, booked our table for 6:45 as we had a show at 8:30 next door at assembly Garden, so thought we had plenty of time. However, even though the restaurant did not seem busy at all, it took approximately 1hour45minutes to get food, even after being given wrong food, meaning that we missed our show. Being vegetarian I was looking forward to the meal as I thought the menu looked quite nice, however I initially ordered the quorn steak, 1hour 30 minutes later I was only then told that there was no quorn options available, where if I knew that from the start I would of eaten somewhere else.

   We were well looked after. Appreciated the celebration birthday balloon on the table to greet us. Our food was nicely presented, tasted great & arrived promptly. Only down side was the open patio doors/windows which some people were using as the entrance rather than through the door it's nice to have option of having them open on such a beautiful day, but to having a means to prevent people wandering past whilst eating would be welcomed.

   Met with friends and unfortunately there was a mix up with our food. The waitress and Manager dealt with it really well and it was sorted quickly and efficiently. The food itself was delicious and good value for money. We would definitely go back.

   Staff were helpful and courteous and ambience was good but starters were poor value for the price and mains had to be questioned twice before they matched the menu. Food was also just warm at best but it did taste good. Overall were underwhelmed.

   really good food, good atmosphere, love the art gallery upstairs . Would like to see the desert menu on line if possible , and the prices in this day and age seemed a little expensive. Overall however really good enjoyable first visit

   One of the best experience I have had. From the staff to the food. Wanted to celebrate a birthday and this was the perfect place to have a local yet very fancy vibe. The pricing was also very good compared to the portion size as well. All in all, I absolutely loved it and will definitely come soon. It’s a great place to celebrate precious moments of your life or even a good place to enjoy a couple drinks too.

    I wanted to eat at Metropolis for my 40th as my hubby and I are vegan & my parents are carnivores so I knew Metropolis could cater for us all. The food was tasty but the service was so poor it was infuriating. Our waitress didn't know how to use her electronic pad and could not find the most basic drinks to add, she wrote them down. After a very long time waiting the wrong drinks order was brought up...in the meantime we were waiting to order food. It took about 35 minutes before we could give our food order and out of the 3 vegan options, the one i wanted wasn't available. We ordered 2 meat meals and 2 vegan. About 5 minutes after we ordered a waiter came up to say that the meat options were not available so my parents ordered alternate meals. When the meals came the food was tasty. When it came to dessert I asked our waitress which options were vegan. She didn't know and said she would find out. 10 minutes later she came up to take our empty glasses bur had totally forgotten that she was supposed to have found about the desserts. She said she would find out and come back. I then watched her go back to the bar and start to sing and dance with her colleagues for another 5 minutes. By this point I felt so frustrated I just asked for the bill. I will say that I did complain and the woman I spoke to was very apologetic and gave us a discount on our bill which I appreciated but I still felt so frustrated and disappointed. I was really looking forward to this meal and it was not at all up to standard due to the service. It was a sad birthday meal. I think the waiting staff need some more training for sure.

    Came for a meal with a friend, sat on the terrace. It was beautiful, the staff were polite and efficient. The food was full of flavour and they have amazing vegan options here.

    Friendly, good natured and effective service. Good quality, tasty food in generous portions which was well presented. Food is good value for money, drinks a bit more expensive but a worthwhile and positive dining experience. The venue is very stylish with fascinating exhibition about the history of Coventry. We will readily recommend and return. Thanks to all.

    Pizza's seemed a little overloaded - too much sauce & cheese. The rest of the food was okay but seemed overpriced for what it was. Good selection of vegan options and not just burgers which is good to see though! Staff were very friendly too! Just felt like the food needs to take a step up or the prices a step down

    Average food. Steaks cooked completely differently despite both ordering medium rare. Server didn't know ice cream came with the dessert so we ordered extra. Just average

    Had a Sunday afternoon meal here as a group of 6 for a birthday. I really liked the look of the place but sadly it didn't live up to expectations. The service was poor, they missed one of our mains when taking the orders and then again missed a dessert when taking orders. They did clear starters plates until after they had brought our mains which had taken a while. The food was okay but unfortunately not quite there, for example the soup was just warm. The mains were generally okay, the steak was very good but sadly one of our party had to wait 15mins fpr the forgotten ordee. The desserts were all vegan versions which was great for the vegans among us but the vegan panacotta wasn't really up to scratch.

    Best Peppercorn Sauce in Coventry with the mixed grill, my wife had lovely lamb kofta. Chefs cheesecake and summer fruit crumble and custard, great service, value for money. Definitely go again.

    Always a pleasure paying a visit. Never had a bad meal. Only slight thing was it was a little chilly. Could do with a bit more heating to make it perfect. Won't stop me going back though!

    Visited as a small party celebrating an 18th birthday. There was a good menu selection that three generations of family were able to choose from. Portion sizes were generous and our male waiter was attentive. However, the restaurant was cold - some of us kept our coats on throughout the meal. It was very quiet and lacking atmosphere. We’d been left a voicemail saying that balloons and candles would be provided so we didn’t bring our own. Unfortunately, we discovered on arrival that there were no balloons after all! All in all, an underwhelming experience.
