   Excellent food selection and very tasty. We focused on the appetizers since all of them were very attractive with simple but nice presentations. Would rather have a printed menu as they only had one tablet available and looking at the menu with the smartphone is time consuming. Service was great was slow as they only had one server available, which is not unusual nowadays. Highly recommend it!

   This is a hipster step up from a Chile’s or TGI Friday’s - minus the liquor license. Ok at best - small restaurant, nothing but OK wine menu, food menu is nothing special. Just because they serve sushi and Japanese dishes with “a Latin flare” does not make this restaurant noteworthy.

   You must eat here! We were looking for something different, in from CT and though we thought it was a little far from where we were staying, it seemed unique so we rolled the dice. It surpassed expectations! The waitress was more like a tour guide - so polished, patient and kind. We took every recommendation. Small cozy handful of tables, the food was amazing… to give you an idea, my partner never eats sweets - and he ate his half before I had eaten mine! (Dishes: Cheeto thing, tuna tar-tar, negiri, steak taquitos, and chocolate milk sushi roll.)

   The owner/manager was extremely pleasant. Unfortunately, she was a little short staffed. It did take a little long for us to get our food and to get attention. With that said, the food was delicious. Some of us were vegan and they were very accommodating. Some very original dishes. Highly recommend just be prepared to have a couple drinks while you are waiting.

    We absolutely loved this place! The food was amazing. The staff was really nice, lots of smiles, and very good service. We tried many things on the menu and with a table full of picky peeps. We all left very satisfied. We are local, so we are very happy we found you! We will be back.

    All of gje dishes we tried were fantastic and well portioned (corn cheetah, karrage chicken, veg roll, spicy tuna roll, veg paradilla). Some very unique items in there and everything was presented so artfully. The sushi on happy hour is a great deal and prices otherwise very fair for the quality and quantity. Server was extremely knowledgeable and spent a lot of time explaining things- very friendly as well. A true neighborhood gem, so happy we happened upon it! Great spot for a casual vibe while the food is still elevated.

    Food was great, both presentation and quality. However, this is not a 4.8 star restaurant compared to the other options in surf side/Miami beach. The venue was much smaller than expected (4-6 tables only inside) and priced like a high end Miami dinner. Overall food was tasty but this is much closer to a 3-4 star restaurant, we were slightly shocked when we showed up and did not see what we were expecting.

    Wait staff was nice but never came back to offer a second drink, water refill, extra options. Waited 10-15 mins after eating and went to ask for the bill. tere were only 3 parties at the restaurant and the staff just talked to each other behind the bar doing nothing. Some decent stuff, too much salt on the Sashimi (like crazy amount). Tacos were good, Bao buns were just ok. Corn Chetahs were really good. Also, they did not give us an itemized bill to see if they included service charge. We usually take the included top and and half more to double. Good places note that the service charge is there, these guys were hiding it. LAME

    Good food but imitation crab in quite pricy rolls is not acceptable to me. Was told that it was real crab had to return. Interior is just ok. Service was slow. Waited 40 minutes before the first dish arrived

    Creative, tasty, attractive dishes. We especially liked the Corn Cheetas, the Grilled Octopus, and the Tres Leches cake. The service was friendly, helpful, attentive, and knowledgeable. We will definitely return.

    Outstanding menu and delicious food, best we've had in a very long time! The service was attentive although all the dishes did not arrive to the 4 of us at precisely the same time. Only wine is served, no hard liquor. It was our first time at Mestizo but we plan to go back often. We highly recommend this restaurant.

    So let me start by simply stating that EVERYTHING we ordered, from the water to the drinks to the appetizers, we had 6, to the desserts was phenomenal. You can see the chef puts a lot of love into the preparation, ingredients and delivery of the dishes. Our waitresses were friendly and gave us plenty of recommendations. Never felt rushed, on the contrary, they made sure we were enjoying our experience. You simply must go and experience this gem for yourself!
