Spread over two floors, this Fitzrovia-based restaurant is the brainchild of Monica Galetti who is featuring as a judge on the BBC's MasterChef The Professionals.
The restaurant itself serves a variety of traditional Pacific Island delicacies that have been delicately created by Monica and Sven our Head Chef.
Nestled above the spacious basement restaurant is the bar, managed by our Mixologist Glenn, which serves an array of delectable cocktails.
Monica's husband, David , is in charge of the Front of House at Mere with his Restaurant Manager Eugenio, and using his years of experience as an expert sommelier to create a wine selection along side his head Sommelier Alex that perfectly balances with the seasonal dishes on offer.

Professional,polished and elegant - striking the balance between formal and familiar. Surprised and delighted that Monica takes the time to work the room - we all feel we know her from the telly but she is delightful in real life. Superb meal we had the tasting menu and would thoroughly recommend it. Whole meal was sublime difficult to choose a stand out dish but the stone bass was amazing. Our waiter explained each dish perfectly which added to the experience. Cannot wait to return soon.

What an amazing evening! The food was wonderful, the lamb melted in the mouth, the cheese plate was to die for. All the staff were very helpful, very chatty and so welcoming, we had an excellent time.

This was by far one of the best meals we have ever had. We also had the wine pairing which showed how much effort the staff have put into their work. Unlike other restaurants all the staff had knowledge of both the dishes and the wine. Excellent

On the whole it was ok. Food was good. Slightly marred by the waiter pushing drinks. When we told him we just wanted one glass of wine because we were Xmas shopping he kind of lost interest and walked off. A few business lunches around us so couldn't help but hear their conversations. Nothing major but enough to go "Was it worth it?" As I said most of the staff were awesome and the food is what you 'd expect. Overall I probably wouldn't go back or recommend.

Excellent classy restaurant. classic British ingredients with a pacific twist making extremely creative courses and worth a trip. Value for Set Lunch is very good. I was not drinking so unable to comment on the wine but the list looked exceptional. It is the ambiance and vibe I really appreciated. Professional and diligent in a nice grown up setting. Calm and cool Will go again.

Oh dear 😥 we have been to Mere so many times over the years and it has been our go to place for special occasions and intimate dinners but this time it was like being in a different restaurant Neither David or Monica were there and it showed They seemed very understaffed and flustered Sadly we had to wait an age for our orders to be taken and our wine choices were sold out and no alternative recommendations were given The food was ok but far too many chillis in my starter so I could not finish it and the duck was fatty with no crisp to the skin swimming in over sweet sauce It was so disappointing We would dearly like to return but our friends won’t go back sadly

Lovely food and service but when we went back up to the bar to order a expresso martini , I asked if we could have a couple of chocolates to go with our drink only to be told that they wouldn’t have enough for the evening service !! We only wanted three chocolates one each !!

The a la carte menu is very well designed. My family of three had picked three courses from the menu each and we thoroughly enjoyed each dish. A special mention must the the Devon duck main that my son had, it is a perfectly delivered autumn dish, every item just works together in divine harmony. A big thank you to Monica who came out to greet each table and especially offered my son to go to the kitchen to pick some ice cream (and very kindly to take a picture with my son). It was a great day!

We really liked the starters (Oka & Pork Belly) and the desserts (Coffee Bean & Valencay Cheese) - all four were excellent. By the very high standards of Mere, the mains were good but had flaws - the duck came with sausage, lettuce, jus & blackberries and whilst this worked well, the accompaniment was lightweight with all this meat & would have benefitted from a potato or similar and the sea-bream portion was quite large with one Pak Choi bulb and a very rich sauce and the balance did not feel quite right. Service was excellent and ambience superb and good to see a restaurant that humming at a lunch-time

Extremely disappointing experience. Service was overbearing, rushed with an urgency that suggested they wanted our table for a second sitting at 9pm., We were incorrectly charged for a £35 pound bottle of champagne that I believe was refunded. Plus we were sent an open table no show message a few hours after we departed the restaurant. Technology should be accurate. The atmosphere from staff went from a bit casual to austere hence gave a poor impression. I certainly would not recommend Mere based on last night. I see other people have posted similar sentiments over the past few years. I expected Monica’s bubbly professional personality to shine though but it was quite the opposite. We were on holiday from NZ and this was going to be a highlight but it was a lowlight. Sad really as the food was good albeit small compared to Michelin Star restaurants we enjoyed in Spain and Portugal.

we had the most amazing dining experince on Saturday, the food serivce and ambiance didnt dissapoint. the losbster starter was one of the best things ive ever eatern. being based in the midlands its a real treat to spend a weekend in London looking forward to our next visit. thank you to all the staff front and back of house

We had a wonderful experience at Mere. Every member of staff was delightful, well informed and enthusiastic. Perhaps naively, we were expecting the food to be more classical French. We were pleasantly surprised by the depth of Samoan influence. We absolutely loved trying new and exciting dishes, and of course everything was excellently executed. What a wonderful and exciting menu and restaurant- we have recommended to many since our visit! Thank you!

We had the tasting menu for our table of four and the staff were very happy to swap out a couple of dishes for me. It was absolutely delicious and we all felt pleasantly full at the end of the meal. The Samoan/ French influence on the dishes made for some unique and special flavours. We brought our own wine and paid corkage which was absolutely no problem for the staff and the Sommelier was very happy to taste and discuss our wines. The whole evening was wonderful and topped off by Monica Galetti coming out of the kitchen to talk to all the diners. We have eaten here 5 times in total and each occasion has been very special. The staff are delightful and the ambience more relaxed than one might expect for such a sophisticated restaurant. I cannot recommend highly enough

Impeccable standards - had tasting menu and faultless. Having the wine flight, which has been chosen by experts to complement the food, adds considerably to the cost. We had the basic flight, so as to not miss out anything from the experience. It is special to dine at Mere, but were I more local would fancy dropping in for lunch, which I suspect is very good value for such faultless innovative fare.
