   My family went for Sunday brunch for the fourth time and it was terrific! The soft shell crab sandwich was awesome and the cocktails were spot on!

   Service and Food were awesome!!! Greeted at the front door and seated immediately, waiting on a late joiner, but they did not even bat an eye and sat us and we ordered drinks and donuts. Server was very attentive, owner was on the floor the entire time, food absolutely piping hot, and restaurant was clean from the front door, to the rest rooms, to the open kitchen...always a great place to come as you are, and enjoy the dining room, the bar, or the gorgeous patio...

   We had heard great things about Meadow and decided to try it. We shared the Cream corn fritters followed by the arugula watercress salad and then the Half fried chicken. The food was fantastic and we left room for dessert too. The dessert was amazing. Fortunately we got the last serving of the Citrus Feta Cheesecake. It was heavenly. We will definitely be back! Roland our server was a wonderful too.

   The ambiance and service was great. Most food was good, but the four of us got pork chops and steak and all were overcooked. For the price, it was a super bummer. Otherwise all was very tasty.

    Yay! Shrimp and grits were on the menu. Love them with Meadow’s vermouth butter. Partner had the always excellent burger and, yes, I shared his fries. Normally, I can avoid the temptation but the flavor in Meadow’s fries is great. Shout out to Crystal who managed to be relaxed and smiling while busily being everywhere.

    We were seated promptly. The server was pleasant. The courses were mixed in quality. It was like we were dining at 2 different restaurants. The time between courses was so long it didn’t feel like the same meal. The lunch took an hour and a half. At one point the server apologized for a kitchen problem. It was served family style. It would have been nice to have serving utensils for a bowl of potatoes. There was definitely a difference between portion size for various orders. We’d had food to go from them with better results.

    Went for vegetables and wasn’t disappointed. Loved the carrots, pork chop with beets, and cauliflower. But nothing prepared me for the best dessert I may have ever had, strawberry semifreddo! Doubles please!!!

    I really have no idea what we enjoyed most! The jalapeño cornbread was delicious, green pea hummus and cabbage pancake were all delicious! My husband had halibut, I had the burger, my sister had pizza and my BIL had shrimp and grits. The service was good, the food was served fresh and hot. The serving sizes were plenty. We will definitely be back!

    I’m definitely a fan of Meadow Neighborhood Eatery. Dining on their patio is one of my favorite spots in San Antonio and I’m lucky it is 10 minutes from my house. The service is consistently friendly and on point. Now on to the review of last night’s meal which was shared with out of town guests. The appetizer of humus, bread, and fresh vegetables was excellent, but not enough bread for 4 people. I ordered the pork chop which was generous and good, but would have benefited from more seasoning. (This was my experience when I ordered their steak last time I visited.) The very ample serving of grilled broccoli with béarnaise and pecans was plenty for 4 to share. It would have been excellent had it come out with the entree. However, it was served with the salad course and had cooled by the time I was ready to eat it with my pork chop. The salad dressing was heavy on mustard, and the creamy mustard dressing was the only option. 2 of my guests raved about the Halibut in poblano sauce. So, overall I rated the food 4 stars.

    I loved the ambiance at the Meadow. Our server, John, was very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. The Fruity Pepple drink was a little sweet for my liking, but the Buscuits + Gravy was really good!

    Nice restaurant and very good service. Brunch menu was pretty limited and the strawberry French toast was just ok. A few vegetarian and fish or shellfish options would have been nice.

    Greeted by great hostess, sat inside in the AC Great food - chicken and biscuit, shrimp and grits and English Pea Hummus with veggies and flatbread. - their flatbread was so tasty. Menu is everchanging with local products and vegetables.

    Great patio for outdoor dining! Perfect service - kudos ! All the small plates were excellent: English pea hummus, shrimp and grits, Johnny cakes. So was dessert : Citrus Feta cheesecake. The steak and halibut entrées were nicely presented. But the roasted broccoli and cauliflower were both undercooked (and I like my vegetables crunchy) - a few minutes in the microwave before roasting would improve both dishes, especially the cauliflower which was so hard that I could not cut it with my knife. The kale side was also overly salty. Otherwise a very pleasant evening with friends.

    The food is always fresh and bought locally and the staff is very helpful. Even though the main course menu is limited, it changes regularly. I recommend the skillet cornbread as an appetizer. I always feel special at Meadow.
