Everything was great except for the women’s bathroom. One sink didn’t work, hand dryer didn’t work, it was a little unkempt.

We went to Matchbox to order their BOGO pizza special. As a member, I’d received a text stating the offer was valid every Tuesday in October. When I asked the server about it, I was told it was only available the previous Tuesday, but she would check with her manager. When she returned, she stated that her manager confirmed it was only for last Tuesday. I showed her the text, which clearly said the offer was good for every Tuesday in October. She said she would honor the text, so I ordered a pizza with a gluten-friendly cauliflower crust I(I have celiac). I was then told that they no longer had the crust (which has been on their menu for many years), even though it was on the current menu and website. The only other gluten-friendly items on the menu, per our server, were “some small sides”. At that point, we paid her for my husband’s lemonade and left, never to return.

No server came to our table for over 15 minutes. We asked the hostess to send someone over and still nobody came. Finally we flagged down someone and after that things were smooth! Food was quick and good. They were busy but we had a reservation pre game time so it was not our best experience by any means.

Server didn’t ask my choice of protein, never told about the inside being closed when reservation made, dirty dishes sat on table for 20-30 min after finished, and the overall census was no one knew what they were doing or what was on the menu. Definitely gone downhill in service, food quality, and price point since my first Marchbox experience over a decade ago.

Only outdoor seating available. Between the music and the street noise it was sometimes hard to hear each other. Service was excellent and the food good at a good value. Great location for attending either Shakespeare theaters or the Capital One Center.

I guess I was expecting more. The place was shabby and the pizza was ok. I did like the crust and sauce. Very little if any cheese. As I said I was expecting more.
