Winner of the Best Restaurant in Hawaii by USA Today, the first and only Krug ambassador, truffle centric french/japanese fine dining restaurant in Hawaii.
Our chef Kenta Kayama has been trained under the best chef in Japan, Mr.Kanda who keeps 3 stars Michelin for the whole time Michelin has been published in Japan.
We opened our door in Tokyo in 2014 and became known as the best place for truffle and old world wine lovers. We serve only fresh seasonal truffles from all over the world throughout the year, Italian Alba white truffle to French Perigord black truffle, Tasmanian black, sometimes even from Spain.
As being one of only 112 Krug ambassador chef, we are allowed to have every different bottles of Krug that await you, along with many selection of old world wines. Working with Hawaii's first master sommelier Chuck Furuya, we also have premium wine pairing and monthly wine events.

Sonia and Nigel, Parisian Duo (Ukulele and 7 strings guitar) will be performing 3 mini concerts at 6,7,8PM for our guest exclusively.     Special nightcap in June. We will open old vintage french wines, perhaps this time some old burgundies, and on top of that, we would like you to join the experiment of our new menu. Wines are served with 5-6 pupus including some new dishes that may be listed on menu if guests of this event agrees we should!     All of our dishes were superbly prepared and seasoned. Their onion potage with sea urchin highlighted sweet onions balanced with the savory sea urchin. The potato gratin with foie gras was also amazing. Each of the second course pastas were all al dente and well done…the best pasta we’ve ever had. Our favorite main dishes were the duck and joue de boeuf. The desserts were all so yummy too. But, the sommelier and staff are the best. They paired the wine and dishes so well for a fabulous dining experience. We can’t wait to go back.

    Margotto was an unexpected fine dining experience in Honolulu. Started with an unexpected call from Lee, the sommelier, to ask if anyone had food allergies and to highlight some new menu items. After greeting us, Lee showed us the private parking lot, which is right in front of the restaurant on a very crowded street. We had the 40 gram caviar, carpaccio, snow crab pasta and wagyu beef. All were exceptionally well prepared. Lee paired all of the dishes with the auberge champagne, a chardonnay, which I wish I had gotten the name of, and the lassague cabernet. The taste and temperatures were perfect. My only regrets are that I did not get the name of the chardonnay and that we did not thank the chefs and kitchen staff for the wonderful food preparation.

    One of our favorite restaurants in Honolulu. Some of the best pastas and dishes covered in truffles. Great wines and service!

    Food and service was outstanding, possibly one of the best experiences we have had on island. First time here so we ordered the tasting menu. Although I had said no food allergies when making the reservation, one in our party was pregnant and could not eat raw dishes. After consulting with chef and the diner, on the spot adjustments were made, delicious and satisfying as well. We had a wonderful time and were treated like VIPs. Gracious and professional; not pretentious.

    Michelin one star service with average food. Service was impeccable and sommelier was on point. Of course there is a huge mark up on wine which is normal but the Chardonnay that was selected for us was great. The appetizers were fantastic for the most part, we had the truffle infuse potatoes au gratin, and Capaccio. The Capaccio itself was really good, but the salad it was garnished with was a bit stale, not sure how fresh the salad was. The only reason we were not impressed with the food was because of the entrées. I had the ribeye steak, and my wife had the lobster. The ribeye itself was not the best cut of meat,grocery store quality and thin, and was definitely not medium rare, more medium/medium well. The lobster was definitely overcooked, and a bit tough and rubbery. Total bill was $350, which is fine for a one star but in comparison to other one stars we were slightly disappointed.

    Wonderful experience, very unique menu given that truffle centric restaurants are rare. Excellent food, even more excellent service. The price is steep but not unfair given what you get. If you have a few dollars to spare this is a great find and a real treat.

    We had an early dinner before a concert so the restaurant was very quiet. Service was top notch and the food was fabulous.
