I was disappointed in the service. I came here to celebrate my daughters 18th birthday. Her simple drink came out half way through our dinner. My overpriced cocktail was simply ok. No presentation. Her birthday dessert came out with no candle. I chose this place for their food and drink presentations. It just seemed like they were understaffed on this Friday night.

It was such a great experience! Parking was valet and literally around the corner so no long tipsy walk to your car lol. Food was fire and service was good!!would recommend and Will definitely go again !!

Overall experience was a 10/10. Beautiful ambiance with great photo opportunities. The entire staff and service was worth every dime. I especially enjoyed watching bar tender make our drinks rigth at our table. Great for girls' nights out, sexy date night or birthday celebration.

Didn’t know they opened at 5 pm, we got there exactly that time so they weren’t fully ready for us and it was empty. Once we got our food and drinks, it was the best! Food is amazing and drinks as well. Recommend this place for sure!

I went with my friend to celebrate her birthday…we had such a great time. The ambiance was great, the food was delicious and each one of our servers were delightful, polite and fun!!! Luis one of the host was super cool, happy and the life of the party. I will definitely be returning for future celebrations.

Party of 8.. Let me start with the Good, ambience was fun and the food (lil lil expensive and small portions) but DELICIOUS, it’s ok I’ll pay good money for delicious food. Now for the Bad, #1 music was to loud so loud that we had to talk into each other ear just to have a conversation. #2 our server Richard J was HORRIBLE. Only came to the table to take our orders and bring our drink . #3 he never came back at any point during dinner to ask if we needed anything else or how we was doing. #4 even when I called at him (never looked our way) and tried to get his attention he couldn’t hear us because of the TO LOUD MUSIC. #5 we watched Richard J go to the table in front of us over 5-7 times and never looked our way, we had to order our second drinks of the night from the bellboy that was already picked up our empty dishes(that’s when Richard showed up cuz bellboy went to tell him). #6 they charged 20% tip (cool) but Richard J didn’t deserve 20% of a 763$ Tab. #7 Richard J charged us twice for his undeserved 20% tip. Or is it that this restaurant is getting away with it because one is service charge and the another one is large party auto gratuity charge?? Explain!? I will be calling Monday morning.

Slow kitchen they try to up sale everything , food wasn’t good my stake was glued together in 3 places. We waited over 1 1/2 for or food to come out. Not worth the hype

Manager accused my party of bringing in alcohol and threatened to kick us out. When she states that she would review the cameras she claimed she will see the alcohol and proceed with removal. Manager never came back with the footage, no apology. Nothing.

Whole restaraunt was empty but for some reason we were still seated all the way in the back corner away from the beautiful main room which is probably the only big complaint. Service was pretty slow for only having about 2 occupied tables in the whole place. Food was pretty good, ordered the ribeye and they prepared some kind of house garlic steak sauce tableside. Wife ordered enchiladas and loved it. They also prepared margaritas tableside on their little bartender cart.

Sooo much fun. One flaw they have, is too many managers and very little waiters. Poor waiters are running around while managers are wondering around. Angel was absolutely the best. Had a blast celebrating my friend’s birthday.

Celebrated my wife’s birthday. Food was great. Portions were small but delicious. The service is the only complaint I have. The waiter kept insisting to buy more from the menu, it was obvious he wanted me to waste more so he can get a bigger tip from the already added gratuity. It also took him 50min to come to my table to bring the bill after I had asked for it. My kids fell asleep on the seats from how long he took.

We really loved the restaurant it was very pleasant and enjoyable only thing that we were disappointed with was the fact that we did put the indication that we were celebrating a special event and it was not acknowledged at All by the restaurant. Makes you wonder why you let the restaurant know ahead of time of a special occasion and you don't get any sort of recognition for it.

First off, the wait time was not bad at all... the actual time of seating was spot on. We relaxed at one of their lounge chairs and were quickly tended to. Our server ALBERTO was great and attentive even though he had a few tables to attend to. Energetic and live ambiance with modern and quite a good mix of different types of music. The food was good, but honestly, you can't expect to come here and not pay a pretty penny for the experience. I know some may criticize the price for the type of food, but honestly, the food is of top-level standard and again...don't come to this place and expect to be cheap. Drinks were not watered down like some reviewers say, and honestly, you don't come here to get drunk but to have a good time. My wife and I have been to this location and the one at Beverly Hills, and this one seems to have more of the younger crowd, but it's quite refreshing. Overall, this place is a 10/10 in our experience. Most definitely will.come back to this place soon.

Save your money and go somewhere else. Waitstaff stood around the whole time, we had to ask for everything- water, drinks, food… even then check. The attention to service was worse that Taco Bell, especially since the moment we sat down, the first words out of the waiters mouth was- you have 2 hour limit and need to leave after that. Food was ok- same quality as El Torito, except with amazing presentation. They pride themselves on the spectacle for birthdays, which is all it was. Beautiful decor. That’s about it. Overpriced memiocre food. Just like everywhere in LA, this place will be old news and out of business in 6 months.

I've been to Mama Por Dios in Rancho and does not compare to DTLA. This location has beautiful women doing fire tricks and shows like you dine. And the waiters were so on it and accomadating. Food and drinks were delicious. Pricey but worth the experience. Can't wait to go back.

This experience was absolutely terrible I went with friends for the first time, the food took 1 hour to get there and when it did it was cold! We asked the waiter to feel it and she did and took it back and brought back the same reheated plate! We asked for a manager after asking for the food again and it was still taking forever! We ended up just leaving. Terrible experience not worth the price either!

You like the club scene? Then you are at the perfect place. Great food,great hospitality,energetic music. Overall a great dining experience. Will definitely come back and celebrate a loved one here. Melvin took care of us and he's a full package if you want to have a great time.

I went to Mama Por Dios because of how much fun it looked on TikTok and while I did have fun and the service was fantastic, the food was not that great and the drinks weren't hitting!!! I had a great time but if I go again - I'm just having appetizers.
