$2 extra for an ice cube?! Seriously? How ridiculous is that? Service was nice but not prompt. Food was good but not timed appropriately. Everything felt rushed and like they just wanted to turn the tables we’ve eaten at their cousin restaurant, Sabor, in Santa Clarita, CA and were excited to try this version- however we probably won’t be going back anytime soon.

Good marketing, but overall is just overrated and not good at all. Out of group of 9, we think that the food could’ve been way better. Had lack of flavor, and should offer more options. Services was great

We went for dinner on a Friday night with reservations. We were sat promptly and had a great server. The food was excellent (my favorite was the portobello mushroom quesadillas with steak)! We didn’t feel rushed and enjoyed our meal.

We ordered one of each taco, they were all amazing but the two different shrimp tacos took the win. The salsa with the sweet potato tacos were INCREDIBLE. And the corn tortillas are the best we’ve ever, ever had.

Food was outstanding! Everything was very fresh. Loved the California Burrito - best burrito I’ve ever eaten - highly recommend it. Loved the chicken taquitos a shareable app. All sauces on all dishes and with chips were delicious. OC margarita topped off a great dining experience.

Food was delicious. I had the Mal Pan bowl with chicken and enough for a mra the next day. BlackBerry mint margarita was so good. And service was awesome! My first time, and I’ll be back again!

Had a hankering for a new Mexican food experience in Charlotte and found Mal Pan on Open Table. Made a reservation via OT for a high top table, but when I arrived, they had none open. Once seated, I promptly received chips, salsa and gauc. Had a moderate wait to order drinks and my entree. Unfortunately, my entree showed up prior to my margarita. After being served both, no one stopped back by my table until I was finished eating and drinking. The food was very good and my experience was acceptable. It appears they are severly understaffed, as the bartender had to wait half of the indoor tables plus craft their cocktails.

We loved it and can't wait to go back! The patio was perfect at lunch time. The chips with salsa and guac, our cocktails, and the beans and rice were all so good and the breakfast tacos can't be beat in CLT!

We made an indoor reservation because of a chance of thunderstorms and regretted it so much. All our food was great, but our server didn’t come by to check on our drinks enough. It was also so hot inside because the doors were left open and the AC wasn’t on that we were all sweating by the time we left. If our reservation was outside it would have actually been cooler because there was a gorgeous breeze.

Our group of 4 was seated promptly and served rather quickly. Server helped with any questions we had regarding the food and drink menus. Food was quite good and portions were of good value. Small interior seating has us near the bar which was a little noisy. Overall worth exploring the menu further on another visit.

We were eager to try this restaurant because there were good reviews, but we were sorely disappointed. The noise level was uncomfortable and it was too hot with little air circulation. Our server was not personal and did not provide an adequate description of the entrees. We needed attention at our table and there was no response. There seemed to be no attention to customer service! We usually dine out once a week at better restaurants and are familiar with good service . We did not witness that at this restaurant. We will not be returning.
