Danielle our server was absolutely amazing! She did an excellent job with recommendations. We enjoyed our meal so much. The special onion appetizer and the steak tartare were favorites for our group. The rabbit pot pie was delicious as well!

Absolutely love Maison. My wife and I hadn't been in months and yet the staff somehow remembered us and provided exceptional service. The food was top notch - truly delicious - and the atmosphere was just right. 10/10 we love this place and will be back many many times in the future.

The best staff in Charleston, and the best food. The Shrimp is a work of genius. The steamed founder is excellent. Thanks always to Nate, Jonathan and Danielle for taking such good care of us. There are two Corsican wines on the menu -- don't miss those. Very unique.

Food was excellent, as was service. And I was able to converse with my business associate, though we were fortunate in that there was no one at the adjacent table. With all the hard surfaces, the noise level may be a problem, but the food and service were wonderful.

Always a fantastic meal. Everyone there treats you like family. Rabbit pot pie is genius. Lyonnaise salad on special was incredible with a new take. Fresh madeleines for desert is a great way to end a great French meal. And the red wine from Corsica is really incredible and a bargain.

We love French cuisine and chose to dine at Maison on a Friday night. Overall, it was okay. Prices were appropriate. Loved the decor and style. However, would’ve liked to see a larger menu with more French cuisine - not even a French Onion Soup or Beef Bourguignon to be found on the tiny menu. Small menus are great when every item is phenomenal, which wasn’t exactly the case in our opinion. The evening special salad, however, was delicious, and alone worth a repeat visit. We also had the steak frites, which was decent, although it was served as a filet instead of sliced. The clams came with a crispy piece of bread to soak up the broth, but we didn’t find it too flavorful. The noise level was way too high - it’s a tiny space. It was not a bad experience by any means, but not the intimate French restaurant we were hoping for.

We waited 45 mins past our reservation time. The appetizers were gross. Our drinks were so full of ice, they tasted like water. Food came right out with the appetizers and there was so much salt in everything I felt like I was a cow licking a salt lick. How do you mess up a French fry? It was over 200$ for two people. I would not recommend at all! The staff was friendly, but that’s about it.

We had such a great time at this restaurant. It’s very small and the staff is just lovely. We ordered steak tartare, the salad Lyonnaise and clams for starters and each dish was amazing. We especially loved the sauce on the clams and asked for more bread to finish all of it. I would go back just for that! We shared two very reasonable bottles of wine that were memorable. For entrees we had both the Monkfish (delicious!) and my favorite, the duck confit with lentils. We also shared an order of pomme frittes and really enjoyed them with the tarragon Mayo. We ended with the chocolate mousse which was enough to share. This will be a place that look forward to bringing friends and family as well as our go to for a delicious meal. Can’t wait to return.

Great atmosphere and stellar service! We thoroughly enjoyed the escargot, steak fries, tender duck, and flan. The only area for improvement was the main dishes were far too salty.

Maison is another fine addition to the Charleston dining skyline! A small, intimate Bisto specializing in French cuisine. We were immediately greeted at the front door and seated at a corner table. Justin, our server, quickly became an integral part of our evening with great service and recommendations. His personality & wit fit with the camaraderie of our table. Our party enjoyed several appetizers & entrees. The pate was a country style pate with the traditional accompaniments. The heirloom tomato & tuna crudo was exceptional! The Tomahawk Monkfish was delicious. The unique presentation is an added bonus. The duck confit was nicely prepared but not the star of the meal. Maison has been on our radar for a while and we will, certainly add this as a favorite!

Very nice dinner at Maison last night. Only drawback was a very loud large group near us but they were done half way through our dinner so not too bad. Good cocktails to start. Foie Gras Torchon and Escargot for apps then Pate Campagne and Rabbit en Croute for entrees were all delicious. Nice glass of Pinot Noir to complement. Prices are not cheap but reasonable for the quality. Service was excellent too. Best French restaurant in Charleston.

The tuna and heirloom tomato appetizer was fantastic. The steak frites dinner was very sslty. Couldn't eat the fries. The shrimp schnitzel was ok...a bit overdone. Should've ordered the ratatouille tart...The vodka cocktail was good. The wine that my friend got was not so good. He sent it back and got a different glass. Short pour. Hit or miss, in my opinion. Maybe just an iff night or we didn't order well

The food was amazing and Jonathan took great care of us. We haven’t been back to Charleston since before the pandemic. Maison was the first restaurant we booked, based on our experience there in our last visit. We’ll be back!

Best restaurant in Charleston! This is our second time to Maison. All so fabulous ... the cocktails, the wine selection, the exquisite combination of flavors in the dishes! Lastly, I would be remiss if I didn't mention Jonathan, our server. He is knowledgeable, well-versed in the menu and doesn't miss a beat. Wonderful evening!

Maison never disappoints! Food is always excellent as is the service. The waitstaff is very knowledgeable about the preparation of the dishes which is very helpful as some of them are not as straightforward as they sound. Highly recommend Maison.

We are local and exhausted with Rue de Jean so friends suggested Maison. Everything was superb until a loud obnoxious he/him sat behind us and dropped F bombs over and over. It would have been great if the management would have intervened for the unfortunate women who were seated with this jerk. He had to be from out of town because no proper local would use such ignorant language in public or in presence of their wife or date.

There is not one thing on the menu that you should miss. The food is extraordinary only to be outdone by the staff. An absolute joy. We frequent the restaurant for a reason. The chef comes up with exquisite combinations and the food is always fresh and seasonal. They even made navigating the menu easy for my celiac friend. Bravo and we will see you again soon!

Our waiter, Tony, was top notch. Knew his stuff. Knew how to correctly handle a bottle of wine. There was no hesitation on his part when addressing our questions. A good waiter can enhance a bad meal. But Tony enhanced an already great meal. A+
